Hilltop Tap House - NACHOS!!! - Sports Bars Near Me - Parker, Colorado

We like this place. Local and family feel to the place. However, after our last experience I do not plan on returning for the purpose of enjoying my favorite sports team. We arrived to watch our sons college football team, the University of Alabama, on the big screen while enjoying some food and beverages. Part way through the game the broadcast network changed and the game went off the screen and CU replaced the broadcast. When we asked our lovely waitress, Ally, if she could have the game come back on one of the other tv's she went and tried. She was sweet but the message from her manager was, "He/She was tired of switching games and would not be switching anymore". Our entire purpose for the visit this day was to watch the game. There are a lot of TV's for this exact purpose and I cannot understand why the manager decided that the customer was not important. I will be going someplace else to watch my favorite teams play in the future. read more

I used to work at Hilltop food was good then and it's still good now! The pretzel itself is amazing with really good flavor and cheese is a good side to. It would definitely recommend as an appetizer. The wings with any flavor are a great appetizer or main dish as well. Really good crunch on the skin and very juicy for a bar Philly cheesesteak had a little bit less flavor than I was anticipating still really good though fries were cooked through and had a good crunch to them as well. As far as service goes they've never lacked it. It's a sports bar winning on a Friday night for it to go extremely friendly and staff is great as far as the bar it was full very clean on the inside very warm and inviting definitely recommend this place. read more

Food is good, but service makes us come back. Caden is amazing ! When you have servers who have been there for years, it feels like home

Used to love this place, but now all of the good service is gone. One of the only leftovers is KDen and she is not friendly no matter what. The newbies are busy ignoring customers on their phone and not being attentive to customers. Day bartender Monday through Thursday needs to train everyone because she is the only good one left that doesn't have an attitude against customers. read more

This is my favorite sports bar. In fact, it's the only one I go to. GREAT people!! And everywhere you look are tv's so you won't miss your game. Great service, good food, although personally, I would love some pizza. There's a pizza place close by, but you can't bring food in. I only suggest it because during hockey season, we will be there several times a week. The ambiance is sports...go figure. read more

Tonight I stopped in Hilltop Tap House and was surprised that they are no longer serving Odell 90 Shilling beer. I complained to the manager/owner and he instantly became hostile and told me never to return. Pathetic little man and he is the reason to never visit this establishment. read more

One of our go to places! Always good food! Servers are always friendly and efficient. We love the feel of this place. Why the owners continue to employ the manager is the question. He is always right even when a very obvious mistake was made on the bill. Absolutely NO customer service! Has never asked how our food was, said hello, or thanks for coming in. Don't know if we will continue to support this place. read more

Manager was a total d bag. Yelled at my entire family when we asked him to fix a cost issue when we were charged for top shelf wine instead of house. Ridiculous! Won't come back here. read more

I love this place! It's packed with tons of tvs and good food. Watching sports here in Parker is unparallel to anywhere else. The staff are great and fast. The good is great and the drinks especially special drinks are delicious. The best part is so many beers on tap. We just wish they had a better variety, some seem basic seeing all the breweries in Parker. Would to see more Parker Breweries on Tap here. The ambiance is your typical sports bar like place. But the amount of tvs makes it perfect to watch Colorado sports, College football on Saturdays & NFL games on Sunday! read more

Server was amazing! Food is great!! The manager sucks. Had a bill discrepancy and he continued to argue with an attitude. It became so hostile for no reason other than we were charged wrong. He's a turd. read more

I really used to love this place. Food was always fast. Servers were always friendly. Tonight they totally missed the mark ordered simple food, wings salad and a grilled chicken breast. 45 minutes later we still haven't been served. It was around 9 o'clock and we were the only ones apparently eating since I seen no other food come out the whole time we were there. I told the server just to give us our food to go. We didn't have any more time to waste. She was very snotty about that and made zero effort to remedy the situation. Manager walking around in a daze. I've been coming here once or twice a month for the last year and a half. Needless to say, I'm done. When I got home, my chef salad wouldn't have passed for a house side salad. Very disappointing on all aspects. read more

Having been here two times with two wildly different experiences, I leave with Hilltop Tap House being average. The ambiance here is that of your typical sports bar, and the food and drinks match that aesthetic as well. Our first visit it was moderately busy and while we were found a table quickly the service was non-existent. We finally flagged down a server and ordered some drinks which took forever to actually come to the table. The odd thing was that there was a gentleman walking around who clearly worked there as a manager or something, who was adjusting the window shades, observing wait staff, and greeting customers, but did nothing to address any customers. It was clear that everyone was waiting but he just kept doing laps around the bar occasionally slightly lowering or raising a window shade. The food however was much better than we expected it to be and very reasonably priced (they also have a happy hour menu to make if really cost effective) Our second trip was much better. It was slightly less busy, but the service was 100 times better. Also we found that their kitchen serves until 12:00AM on weekdays, and 1:00AM on weekends! In a town that has very limited options for food after 8:30PM that isn't fast food this is a huge deal! TL:DR - Hit or miss service, good food, Kitchen is open late! read more

Great food and service. Got my check and paid on the touchpad without looking at receipt. Afterward I got a copy and found my happy hour $7 apps were charged $10+ for one and 11+ for the other identical item. 16oz beers and 22oz beers were both $7 each when happy hr was $1 off each. Asked the manager about the discrepancies and he basically gaslit me. He acted like everything was just fine and I was out of my mind for not understanding. Very dismissive and did nothing to help me understand the disconnect. We loved this place and always looked forward to going, but we will never set foot in again. Bottom line - always check your detailed bill before signing anything. Hilltop can not be trusted and won't make it right if you call them out. read more

This unassuming little gem in Parker offers some of the best food in Parker. Service is always good. Friendly, efficient staff. I recently came for breakfast and had the Chicken fried steak skillet. I was a little Leary because good white gravy is hard to find...but the they nailed it. I lived in Houston for a while, where I developed my addiction , taste for Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy/biscuits and gravy. On the hunt ever since. I assure you Houstonians...come on down on a weekend morning and order fearlessly. Get and extra side of gravy, and a get a double Bloody while you're at it. read more

The experience started out swell; however, upon ordering a drink and a meal, I kindly asked the waitress if it was possible to change a channel on a TV to watch an Avalanche game. Upon this request, the head manager came over and ranted for a proclaimed 5 minutes how it was our fault for poorly choosing our seats when the place has 70 Tv's. The part that is astonishing is that HE was the one to sit us down because the place was busy during college football moments before. A simple answer or no would've sufficed, however he made it evenly clear he would not uphold customer service expectations considering I was already a paying customer. I was embarrassed and felt belittle. This is incredibly disappointing considering I've been here before. The manager was an older gentleman in his 60's presumably. The waitress came over to apologize, but it was not her obligation to do so considering it was her boss that set a foul mood and a poor example. read more

They seem to be having a tough time tonight with staffing shortages and what not. However the management and regular staff are outstanding. If you are a sports fan or just enjoy a good time with some great camaraderie among the other patrons this is a great place. read more

Typical sports bar kind of place. Service is pretty nonexistent, there seems to be some disgruntled employees having conflict with the older man who I'd assume is managing the place, poorly I might add. The food is bar food, not a place I'd go to eat. On a semi busy night the bartender was slammed while we were sitting at the bar. There were SO many employees just standing around ,in the way and making demands of her. One employee was standing around behind the bar for what I'd assume doing inventory. Bad timing and common sense would dictate to abort mission for now until the crowd simmers down and HELP the bartender! The place is also dirty and while we gave it a few tries, it appears to be where alcoholics go to die, among other things....we won't be back. read more

I guess I can write whatever I want since the owner told me they don't even have a Yelp page. He would not honor the coupon listed on this page which was the reason we decided to check this place out. The food was okay. It was a big disappointment that my husbands nachos were just chips and cheese. It was entirely too loud to have any sort of conversation. Will definitely not be back. read more

I actually ENJOYED THE CRAP OUTTA MY DINNER I ORDERED FOR DELIVERY!!! My NAKED chicken wings were so insanely crispy and I was super sad when I realized I had polished them off! I also got a Greek Salad with chicken and they gave me some guac (I requested it) and it was pretty perfect IMO! That being said... My husband got the fish and chips and HATED EVERY SINGLE BITE! Truly hated it! So I guess... Don't get the fish and chips at Hilltop Tap House.... Just get the wings! read more

Service stared good, but four hours and four drinks later, with one shot and we were "over served". I've left there in worse condition, not to mention know first hand that they've served under aged patrons. read more

For some reason the bartender felt the need to "cut us off" because of the amount of shots we had. We had 1 shot. Found this out after the bartender tabbed us out and new one came on. Clearly the previous bartender had an issue of some sort. Don't want my business, I'll take it elsewhere. Don't go here. If you pick and choose who you're serving, it's a problem. That's all I'm going to say. read more

This is a great little sports bar or a happy hour spot on your way home. Food was good and the bar options are great. We come here often, 3-4 times a month. Food is above average for a Sports Bar and lots of TVs to enjoy all of the games. Their burgers are great and they also have a nice brunch selection. All of the servers are very friendly and attentive! The only reason I cannot give a 5 rating is because most of their servers don't write anything down. They memorize your order and sometimes things are missed/forgotten. I have a family of 7, so our orders are large and I'm bummed out when I have to remind them of something that they just should have written down. It's a small thing, but it irks me every time. There is absolutely no shame in writing down a large food order to make sure the customers get what they ordered. read more

Great food, great atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Great place to grab a drink.

WHO: Me, the husband and mother in law. WHAT: Dinner to celebrate her recent move to Parker. WHEN: semi recently, but more than a month ago. WHERE: Hilltop! All I can say about this place is mehhhhh. I mean it wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't memorable either. We ate on the patio on a Friday night, and the place was dead. Our server, was very nice and helpful in providing suggestions for us and brought out our waters and beers right away. We noshed on the French dip and wings, along with the buffalo chicken wrap and a side salad, which was my favorite part! haha! the house balsamic is delicious, but our food was a bit average. This place looks like it would be a fun spot for football games or a local dive, but I'm not sure i'll venture back here. #sorrynotsorry read more

Very rude service that could use DEI training. We felt belittled and as if our money was no good. Will never return or recommend. Big yikes.
