The ambiance of the old church is unique and the mixed drinks are artistic and flavorful. Of course, regular drinks are options as well. The lower stars of for the food that comes from the businesses downstairs. My first time here when any of the individual businesses were actually open. We came by on a Thursday night for the 'Taylor Swift birthday celebration'. They've got a new Ellie brown ale from Avery Brewery that was good. The bartender wasn't sure if it's rotating or will stick around for a while. Hopefully the latter. It was a bit too loud for me (ya, guess I'm old now), so we spent some time downstairs. The Romo's tacos looks good, as does the Arayes Lebanese restaurant. I'm guessing we'll be back at some point to grab some food at one of these places and take it upstairs for a beer, especially if there is some entertainment going on that interests us. read more

There are multiple restaurants to choose from. You can eat in the food court, or they have seating options upstairs and a bar area. All of the areas are clean and staff are constantly making sure things are tidy. There is outdoor seating available as well They have various games that you can play. This was during happy hour. They have $8 Old Fashioneds. The server asked if we wanted to upgrade to another bourbon, sure - Angels Envy, happy to pay a modest uplift for our usual. Sounds good. What we each got was a very bland old fashioned - no flavor, no effort. So we decided to call it after one round and head over to Tribe where they can always make a good drink. To our shock it was $47 before tip for our two Angels Envy old fashioneds. Did we expect an uplift for Angels - of course, sure. But $15 more each, for a bad drink....?!? Have paid much less, for much better, at much nicer places. Would never ever come back, and I'm guessing by how quiet it was that others feel the same. read more

I'm a sucker for a good cocktail. After indulging in Restaurant Week at nearby Siena, my husband, and mother in law and I were down for a nightcap. She suggested Sinners and Saints, and off we went! SPACE: Located in the Ecclesia Market (Castle Rock's first food hall!), Sinners and Saints is a devilish addition to the top floor of the converted historic church. Just up the stairs from the rear entrance lies the coolest spot with killer drink specials! The large mural along the back wall creates the traditional church vibe, but the colored lights, modern stylish furniture and extensive bar jazz's up the joint and creates a much trendier and bar like environment. A DJ was jamming tunes the night we arrived, which was fun and the space allowed for dancing! The variety of seating (long community tables, two tops and more!) allows for parties of all sizes, including the bar top - as it is huge! Although I'm not the church going type, I found the space to be gorgeous and created a different and interesting atmosphere! SERVICE & SIPS: Although packed when we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly bartender who provided us with a rundown of the cocktail list - featuring the 10 Commandments - their creative approach to house made cocktails! I stuck to wine, while the hubs sipped on a smooth concoction with vodka. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and nice - despite what others have said in their reviews. However, because the bartenders were so busy, we were charged twice for our cocktails, which we discovered the following day after looking at our bank account. The misunderstanding was easily corrected though, which made all the difference! SUSTENANCE: While a full food menu isn't offered here - head to another vendor in the food hall - they do offer a coffee and dessert bar, for a true nightcap to the evening. We didn't partake, but definitely a cool idea! With this food hall close to home, I know I'll venture back to Ecclesia Market, and Sinners and Saints! read more

I love coming to Ecclesia when I am in castle rock, which is about once per month. I am part of a book club that meets here at the Sudden Fiction book store in the same building, so I always make sure to stop by S&S for a nice cocktail and some dinner before hand! The bartenders are always so friendly and give great recommendations. The prices here are a little steep but the drinks are good! The atmosphere is nice and chill (we always come on Mondays)and I know sometimes they have live music! They do have weekly specials as well. See you soon S&S! read more

Well Boyd, a couple things to consider. When an interaction is so bad, sometimes people feel the need to make an account and say something. That is point 1. Secondly, it's weird that you assume the date I wrote my review is the day I was there. Actually I took some time to think about not saying anything but, again, the service was so bad I felt the need to say something to warn people. My guess is I'm not the only one who has had bad experiences with her. Lastly, your response, and lack of ability to actually just apologize and see how y'all could do better makes me think it's not a her problem (with an isolated employee) but rather it's a cultural issue. So I guess, good luck sucking at your job. read more

We visited this place in the downtown on last wednesday night and we could not stay beyond 5 minutes . The restaurant kitchen does not have a good exhaust system . The bar is engulfed with oily smoke either from their restaurant or another one in that food complex . We wanted to tell some staff but no one seemed to care . So we left. Please fix it . read more

Seriously... if you don't enjoy this place, maybe you are a saint and go to some cookie cutter chain. Everything about Sinners & Saints was amazing. You will have a hard time choosing from the craft cocktail menu! We were served by Ben, who could not have provided better service from his banter and recommendations. He knows his cocktails! The ambiance was warm and inviting with plenty of comfortable seating in the way of couches and stuffed chairs. The mural on back wall was truly a masterpiece! Love the atmosphere ar Sinners and Saints and it's a great place for groups as there are multiple food selections downstairs. The decor is fantastic, drink selection creative and staff super friendly. My only complaint and hesitation to make this our top choice for going out in Castle Rock is the poor exhaust system. Going out here means coming home smelling like grease. I truly wish they would invest in a better exhaust system for the incredible restaurants downstairs to make it more enjoyable for all. read more

My friend is in a band with his two brothers and it was their 10 year anniversary of starting this past weekend. So as a last minute birthday present for their dad, they planned a show at this bar. It was our first time ever going and we were all pleasantly surprised. They used to play at Maddie's Biergarten very frequently, so this was super close by, and a nice alternative since that venue unfortunately closed. The environment was really cool, and they also have a really incredible mural that was the backdrop for them playing. We were their during happy hour, which was convenient because the drinks were cheap. We would definitely return if they were able to play here again, or even just in the Castle Rock area. read more

BEWARE!! We went in one evening for drinks and apps. Most of the items were out so we ended up with cold artichoke dip. It was less than appetizing. After we hightailed it out of there because we couldn't get waited on for more drinks, I get an alert on my phone.... THEY CHANGED THE TIP on my card. Apparently they thought a 50% tip was better - for them. Luckily I was alerted and was able to stop it. Now they get nothing. WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK read more

My wife and I went in last night around 9 and had drinks at the bar. Awesome drinks, Awesome Bartender!! So when we went to close out ( she didn't even serve us but said she would close us out) she then proceeds to ask why no tip! Well duh had you looked at our empty glasses there was a cash tip for the bartender! How rude to ask why no tip. You are lucky I didn't want to waste my time and educate you! You just cost this business an event we were going to plan. Thats why we came in to find out about the band and DJ nights. A tip is NOT to be expected! Especially when you did nothing for us! The awesome bartender did it all not you! America needs to be like Italy and just stop tipping! Everyone thinks they are now automatically entitled to a tip now a days! Oh and btw the blonde waitress that asked about the tip was the same one that ignored us when we walked in thus why we got up and went to sit at the bar because you were too lazy to help us but you had plenty of time to look at your phone!!!! In fairness the bartender gets 5 stars, greeted us with a friendly smile, remembered us from a prior visit and made a very good Old Fashion. Then why a 2 Star Rating you ask? One drink cost $14 and it was not a top shelf bourbon. I've paid that and more at Capital Grill, Ellways or Shanahans for Blantons or Wheller 12 Year but this is not that. We are also not fond of bars built in old churches, seems that there are a better places to put a bar. I know Castle Rock now has two bars in ex- churches but we are just not fans of the atmosphere. NOT WORTH IT! The place is pretty and our server Grace was great, but the owner was absolutely evil. We were scoping out this establishment for a rehearsal dinner after-party and the owner (Michella?) was unbelievably rude to myself and my family. She should not be in the service industry, and entirely ruined what should have been a positive experience. Again, our sever Grace was lovely, but after how Michella treated us, as we were walking in, it was too far gone; I will never give another dime to that woman. read more

There are several food vendors: a Bar at the top, a restaurant I've yet to visit alongside it, as well as several spots to eat downstairs. Downstairs they have : - A bagel spot (get there early for the best selection and don't be disappointed if they run out- that's what it means to have fresh baked daily!) - A great BBQ spot (this is coming from a KC native and BBQ critic!) - Apres coffee - a cute coffee shop with alternative milks and Italian sodas options. - A stuffed pita restaurant (I'm sorry I don't know the name!) - Gluttony and Graze, for salads and gourmet hot dogs and burgers - And don't sleep on the cute little kiosk to order Mexican food! I didn't get a chance to check it out, but it's next on my list to try! Though, please note all of these places have different operating hours - though you're mostly safe Wed-Sun. I'll break it down through all phases of our experience. First will be making reservation. Called early this afternoon for a reservation this evening. Promptly greeted on the phone by a very kind lady. Within a quick minute was able to reserve our dinner with much ease Now with the location and ambiance. Very easy to find, and well positioned with a perfect sunset view of the mountains. Well lit environment but yet still very intimate. Next will be greeting, hospitality, and staff service. Within 10 seconds of walking we were greeted as if we were the most important people to visit this evening. That means that we felt very welcomed upon our arrival. The hospitality did not stop there. We were seated and greeted by Marquez. Now this guy was the star of the evening. He knew the menu and wine pairings in great detail. His recommendations of menu items were outstanding. Seriously, you can tell when somebody takes pride in their work. This gentleman carries himself with great pride and genuine care. That level of self respect is reflective in the respect he shows others. Through him alone he can s 10 out of 10 easily. Now, why we all came. For the food. We ordered the pimento dip for an app. The bread was outstanding. The pimento dip was rich and full of flavor. Home run was the warm honey. Never would have thought of the combination of pimento dip and honey spread across toasted bread. YUM! For the main meal I had ordered the French Dip and the wife ordered the salmon. For the French Dip the star was the freshly made French bread. It was perfect for the large amount of thinly sliced prime rib. Speaking of the meat, the Prime Rib was so tender it nearly will melt in your mouth. The Salmon looked to be perfectly cooked. My wife gave that affirmation after her first bite. Then came the dessert. Ice Cream came with hot fudge both delicious. Key Lime pie was also perfect. It came with a really neat French Whipped Cream infused with key lime. AMAZING flavor and light. Overall, excellent experience, delicious meal, and Marquez was fantastic. If you find yourself looking for somewhere to have a celebratory dinner, recommend this place. Thank you so much to all at The Brinkerhoff for a wonderful evening.

We've never had a bad meal. Unfortunately, that's hard to say about other comparable places in the area we have tried (but to each their own). Best onion rings we've tried anywhere (chicken tenders, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, the Hideaway Signature Pasta--the list goes on), but honestly, everything on the menu we've ordered has been delicious, and every time we go, it takes us a while to decide since everything is so good!
