Went back after a year and it was as good as it was the 1st time. I brought my own Mayo since you only get the basic Ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions. Burger was juicy and done perfectly. Went thru several napkins. I just wish they had fries

Friendly small shop with a simple but good menu. We went here after a hike and arrived on a Sunday at 11 AM. It's open seating and only cash. We all ordered a double cheeseburger and it came out pretty fast. This is a solid burger for the price! Patty is medium well, thick, and with 2 cheese slices. Add on the condiments and it's simply a good burger! Definitely would return for some food if in the area.

Cheeseburger chips and a Coors light. Colorado

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon it was busy but service was fast and friendly . Really simple menu. This place has been a go to for our family since my husband was a kid and now we bring our kids here . If you are looking for a good steam bun cheeseburger this is the spot ! A "hole-in-the-wall" CASH ONLY joint with lots of character and just nostalgia. Try it and thank me later !

WOW- that burger still has me thinking about it... This hole-in-the-wall is busy for a great reason. Their menu is simple- literally just types of burgers- but they do it WELL. No french fries (you get chips) but DANG is it tasty. The prices are sooooo affordable! They only take cash (yes there's an ATM across the street), but it's worth it. If you get bored while waiting, look up their history online. So interesting- and truly where time stands still. Perfect lunch after a hike nearby. :)

Neat old school style bar in Sedalia. Seating is first come first served and can get a little competitive, or at least it did the day I was in as we had a party attempt to cut in front of us. They don't have fries- you get Lays potato chips with your burger. The cheeseburgers were tasty in a no frills kind of way. The prices are great- we got 4 burgers and 2 cokes for $24. It's cash only, so be prepared.

Thank you George Motz and Hamburger America for another outstanding recommendation. This place is the epitome of a local hidden gem that's out of the way. Highly recommend!

Simple, fast, good! Buds consistently gets voted as one of the top burgers in the Denver area and for good reason! There are no frills here. The menu has 4 items on it Hamburger, Cheeseburger, or a double of either of the previous options. They come plain and you can get pickles and onion on the side. They come out fast and hot and are cost effective as well. Only thing to note is they are CASH ONLY

Just to be clear they are CASH ONLY

A favorite hole in the wall for me, they are cozy old western setting. Always a busy place I would advise to go outside normal lunch hours. Burgers are fresh made smash style and mine always come out scalding hot off the burner. With only burgers to choose from they prove out the adage of doing one thing and do it very well. And I don't miss getting does!

Best burger in a wide radius! Just know you can only get chips instead of fries, and they only accept cash. Otherwise this is a must try!

Also keep in mind that they do have a bakery with some good stuff to take home so make sure you save room!

All the while McKenzie kept our drinks full and put smiles on our faces. The wings and garlic knots were first rate. My veggie calzone was perfect. We even took a jalapeño pizza for later. We ordered a few desserts for the road and tasted them when we got home. All were fantastic. Small town, homemade taste. I really wish this place was closer. It's a true gem and I'd eat there weekly if it was down the street from me. Donna, the owner, is a real class act and clearly cares about her customers and the products she puts forward. A plus plus plus for this little diner.

He was very nice, through and prompt. He was very patient with us and we really appreciated that. We were trying to decide on what we really wanted. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed ourselves.. Oliver came back and took our orders for the food... when I tell you everything was delicious, hot, and very flavorful. Shameka like her patty melt. Kenn and Antanaysiah grit that their steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. The Cajun shrimp and lobster linguine was mouth watering goodness. I loved that the Alfredo sauce was made from scratch, The pork chop was juicy and tender; so Asante had no complaints. The salmon was flaky and sweet so Vince liked the veggies that was with it. The bbq bacon wrapped shrimp was devine and sooo good. Josh and Candice really enjoyed them. Jade loved the taste of the couscous with the shrimp. The fries were hot and on point with the garlic Parmesan. KJ said his chicken wings were seasoned with just the right amount of sauce, The salad was crispy and yummy. They loved the creaminess of the mash potatoes and the texture of the veggies. The place was cleaned, neatly decorated and the bathrooms were clean too. Oliver was simply amazing. As I have the past several times here, I went with the egg and carnitas tacos. I added a side of fresh fruit...both the eggs and fruit were very good. As the Benedict my wife loved is no longer on the menu, she had the avocado toast with eggs. She added a large size of the breakfast potatoes and was glad she did. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife. The other daughter tried the quiche for the first time and loved it. It is one of the better quiches around. Coffee is very good as well. Service was fine for the most part.

It's been our casual and fun go-to spot for a great brunch, lunch, or dinner to enjoy time together or watch a game! We know and enjoy good food and hope it will always be around! The owners are wonderful, and the staff they hire reflect that. Beyond that, what really matters to us, at least, is great food--and Hideaway delivers every time. With the ever-growing Castle Rock food scene, we admit we've strayed from time to time depending on what we're looking for (fine dining, etc.), but we always come back to Hideaway when we want consistently good food, friendly staff, and welcoming owners. We've never had a bad meal. Unfortunately, that's hard to say about other comparable places in the area we have tried (but to each their own). Best onion rings we've tried anywhere (chicken tenders, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, the Hideaway Signature Pasta--the list goes on), but honestly, everything on the menu we've ordered has been delicious, and every time we go, it takes us a while to decide since everything is so good! Hideaway has become something of a standard we compare to other similar establishments, and we look forward to dining here in the years to come!

It definitely had a kick to it, even without using much of the sauce on the side. Vegetables were good, but when they put the chicken on top of the fries, those end up getting a little soggy. Wanting to try something different, one daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich. While she wasn't terribly impressed at the start, the more she ate, the more she approved, deeming it to be "fine" and something she'd likely get again. The other daughter, also wanting something different, had the green chili burrito. She wasn't as impressed with the dish, saying it didn't have much taste, even after adding good amounts of salt and pepper. The burrito was described as "mid", which I guess means 'not very good.' Doubtful she orders this again. Service was fine at the start, but somewhat sporadic as the meal progressed.
