Stopped by for weekend brunch and was able to get a table quickly in the patio area. I got the biscuits and gravy which was meaty and flavorful. Husband got the bangin burrito which was alright. Overall the food was not bad but we felt so rushed by our server. As soon as we got to our table, I was on a call and my husband asked our server to stop by after 5 minutes for our order, he was back within a minute twice! Same thing when our food arrived, we are in the process of eating and he kept asking if we need take out boxes - what!!! Kept asking us if we wanted the cheque! Wildly overpriced and extremely noisy. The food is so ridiculously overpriced. Small glass of OJ was $8. Bill was $124 for breakfast for four people WITHOUT alcohol. Food was just okay, nothing special. Service was unremarkable. We only went here to meet people from out of town. I'll never go back just based on the price and ambiance. We loved this place when it was Tribe but our one complaint is when at capacity you can't even hear the person across the table from you. I don't mind a mild roar but this is like people are standing next to you screaming in your ear. Look, we support local businesses and this place is no exception. I think that we had very high hopes for this place and our fist round was fairly average. The service was good and, again, people who work here seem to take real pride in the restaurant so kudos for that for sure! BTW, they are starting to do dinner Thursday-Sunday. Finally many moons later I had brunch in Castle Rock and it was amazing! Thanks to my colleague for the rec. Such a cute place and luckily the weather was nice enough to sit outdoors. Even indoors the aesthetic is cute! My husband got the French toast, I got the chilaquiles and we split the million dollar bacon and drop biscuits with Calabria honey butter. Everything was verrrrrrry delicious! I am lucky w chilaquiles and these were good. The bacon was also tasty and I may or may not have taken the honey butter to go lol. BEST breakfast taco I have ever had! Fresh tortillas with eggs, potatoes, and just the right amount of chorizo and high quality diced bacon! Great pico de gallo and diced jalapeños too! We recently tried Wide Awake Eatery in Castle Rock and were really impressed! I've had the chance to eat there twice now--once inside the restaurant and once out on their patio--and both experiences were great. The patio is especially nice on a sunny Colorado day. I ordered the filet mignon salad, and honestly it was to die for. At first I thought it was a little unusual that the salad came with fingerling potatoes, but wow... it totally works. Steak and potatoes are a classic pairing, and somehow putting them on a salad just makes it even better. The filet was cooked perfectly and everything tasted really fresh. My husband ordered a sandwich (I wish I could remember exactly which one), but he really enjoyed it and said the French fries were excellent too. Came here on a Friday morning. Me and my dad were trying to kill time and were a tad hungry so we opted to share an avocado toast. They have plenty of different seating types from bar seating, to table top, couch and booth. Very cute spot! We were seating right away, and ordered drinks and the toast. Our waitress was great though, she was attentive and the food did come out quickly. Since the toast was $17 we expected it to be a little more substantial. Unfortunately it was a pathetic lol the toast was soggy and fairly small. It was not worth the $17 at all. The two orange juices and they were an absurd price as well, did not taste fresh at all and seems to be very watered down. For two people sharing a breakfast and two drinks it was over $45. Did not seem worth it to me, left fairly disappointed. I am sure that there are better things to order and if I come back next time I will be sure to try something else and update. So we found this place on a whim as we tried walking in to great divide restaurant and it was absolutely packed and standing room only so we thought hey why not just walk next door to this place and boy am I glad I did!!!! He must not eat out often, because it was far from "fire." The do have an excellent happy hour, but don't get the artichokes (I didn't order them, but the table next to us did and they did NOT look good), don't get the tacos. They had ZERO seasoning, the meat, the sauces, nothing had flavor. No spice, no salt, oh it was killing me. It was just a greasy taco with bland sauce. UGH The fries were good. That is it. The desserts sounded bomb, but our friend didn't like chocolate or cheesecake (which right there I am questioning if I ever want to eat with this person again...no seriously). We finally made it here for Sunday brunch, and boy are we glad we did. The service was welcoming and easy -- no putting on airs, just comfortable, like dining with old friends. The seating was comfy. Although it was loud inside, it was fine for us, but then the tables were not all taken. And the food was swoon worthy. We visited Wide Awake Eatery in Castle Rock on a busy Monday during the long holiday weekend. Even with a 40-minute wait, the host was friendly and welcoming, setting a great tone for our visit. Once seated, we were lucky enough to have Max as our server--he was absolutely one of the best we've had anywhere. We started with the Million Dollar Bacon, which arrived quickly and was delicious. My husband ordered the Burger and I ordered the Veggie Benedict. Both looked fantastic, but unfortunately, my eggs were cooked hard instead of runny. When Max checked on us, I mentioned it wasn't a big deal and that I'd still eat it since the restaurant was so busy. Without hesitation, Max let the Owner know, and the Owner personally came over to make it right. He had a fresh Benedict sent out, asked me to cut into the eggs at the table, and when they were still not runny, he insisted on trying again. The third time was the charm, and another server brought it out perfectly prepared. While it took a couple of tries, the way the Owner and Max handled the situation was nothing short of exceptional. Their commitment to making sure we had a great experience really stood out. It seemed like the chef that day might not have been the regular one, but the customer service more than made up for the hiccup. I snagged a bar seat and felt like I'd cracked some sort of brunch cheat code. First thing I ordered was the cheddar drop biscuits with Calabrian chile honey butter. They sounded a little mysterious, but trust me, they're worth it. It's not that in-your-face "sweet heat" combo you'd expect, it's more like rich honey butter that happens to have a warm little hug at the end. Addictive in the best way. Then came the Bangin Burrito, and wow, the name does not lie. I made the wise (and frankly heroic) choice of going with both chorizo and bacon, which turned this beast into a flavor freight train. The green chili salsa tied everything together beautifully bright, savory, and just enough kick to keep things exciting. The only warning I'll give you: this burrito is roughly the size of a newborn. Walked into Wide Awake Eatery for lunch. Got immediately greeted by Katie, words to describe her: intelligent, kind, caring, generous and fun. She asked us for our seating preferences and told us that the restaurant's first full day of operation was just last Sunday. Katie also took our orders and we were quickly served a beautiful steak salad and a club sandwich. Portions were generous, well presented and correctly prepared. We got the million dollar bacon, strawberry and crème silver dollars, rancher's breakfast, one coffee, and one TINY, $8 OJ!!! It was $70 for the two of us for brunch. The silver dollars were super yummy, but the portion size was way too SMALL! This could easily be two or three regular pancakes for the same price. Did I mention the tiny sized OJ for $8??? It's infuriating that all of these new restaurants have opened up downtown, but they're way over priced. Not everyone In Douglas County is wealthy. Asked our server for the same thing three times (sugar for coffee), which she never actually managed to successfully complete. Also had to walk my drink (a soda water) to the bar for a refill, where she stood poking at her phone while the bartender took care of it instead.
