If you follow me, this was our first eatery stop on a two week vacation. We flew into Denver for a Rockies game and stayed in Highlands Ranch for a few days. This restaurant was walking distance from our apartment. The menu looked great as well as the bar area. We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone ever came to the hostess table to greet us and seat us. That should have been my first indication to leave and go somewhere else. While the servers were friendly, they were most definitely short staffed. We ordered the Crispy chicken wings, top sirloin steak salad, Lansdowne Arms' Half-Pound Reuben, and Roast Beef & Swiss French Dip. The crispy chicken wings were tasty enough but not at all crispy. The salad was large and fresh however the steak was so tough we couldn't eat it at all. The rueben was large and very good and the french dip was good ,however the mashed potatoes were luke warm borderline cold. Based on our experience I cannot recommend this eatery. read more

Eh. Unfortunately it's been a few years since we've been in and the food quality has certainly declined since the last time we were here. I wouldn't say it's basically average at best and pretty bland for the most part. Don't think I would be back. The service was subpar. The wait staff seemed completely rushed and like they maybe didn't have enough people on the floor and so our server was super fast at our table and we didn't really have a moment to ask questions or really do much other than order. He also came for the orders REALLY early in the service because I think they were just rushing through the tables. It just made us feel like we were holding them up even though we took less than maybe 10-15 mins to actually order. The spinach artichoke dip was pretty good, probably the best thing we ordered. Id give it a 4/5. The artichoke pieces were huge though so it was a bit awkward to eat. Flavor though was good and it came with lots of Texas toast, a bunch of fresh veggies and some nice crackers so we were happy with this. Great value and flavor. The entrees were unfortunately all pretty bad. My boyfriend's Rueben was average. 3/5. Just a Rueben morning to write home about. Sweet potato fries were good. My green chili cheddar egg burger that I ordered with sautéed onions came with a TON of onions literally drowning in them. It also came with lettuce tomato and red onion which I didn't realize (I might've missed this on the menu) but the sheer amount of toppings felt overwhelming compared to the burger. The cheddar was forgotten altogether. Green chili had no flavor same with the egg. Patty was a sad overdone tiny little burger almost rubbery in texture without any flavor. So bad. Actually one of the worst burgers I've ever had. 1/5. Side fries weee average but forgettable. My mom had the turkey wrap. She said she did not like it the turkey tasted off to her and it was apparently extremely bland. She said the coleslaw was also bland. My dad ordered some sort of skillet and he said it was average - 3/5. The inside was not as clean as I remembered and the booths feel run down. Overall it seems like it's been not that well kept up with since the last time I was there. The menus were pretty gross and seemed like they aren't regularly wiped down. Overall we were pretty disappointed we chose to spend lunch here today. Wouldn't be back. read more

Would and should be 5 stars... It is one of our favorite places to go and we go very often. While the service is great, they had a significant price jump this week for happy hour (30%!!!!) and the food quantity and quality plummeted at the same time. It makes us really sad and it is changing our habit of hanging out there. We will need to find somewhere else to go unless they embrace the quality of food and Happy Hour pricing we have come to know and love. We also really miss seeing English Nick!!! Was definitely one of our fav servers. read more

We met a friend for happy hour. We arrived just before a downpour ... she arrived in it! Luckily they'd turned on the heat in between arrivals as the dining room was CHILLY! Quickly ordered drinks. Wife and friend's Chardonnays were good. Their happy hour beer is almost ridiculous ... $6 gets you 32 oz of any beer! That's amazing! I had the 90 Schilling. Finally ordered Happy Hour Sliders and I ordered the Mussels appetizer. The Sliders were reported to be good although we subsequently ordered fries which appeared almost instantly. My mussels were great + they came with a nice number of thick garlic bread slices. I'd never had mussels prepped in a cream and tomato base. The menu indicated they were prepared in a wine, garlic, butter, basil broth so this was different. Altho my tastes run to a garlic, wine lemon (and perhaps curry) broth the Lansdowne broth was subtle and really good. Curiously most of the mussel shells were almost crushed so I had to pick through a lot of fragments. But it was still great and with the garlic bread very filling. This is a really good happy hour! read more

The service was really good, Carrie did a great job. The food was fair. The burger was cook just right but the buns were stale and burnt. My wife's salad was not good. We found a product sticker in her food. The restaurant next door is closed for a few months which opens the door for this place to shine, it's falling short. read more

We went here on a Saturday night around 6pm and it was a 15ish minute wait for two people. It has a very traditional pub feel to it which we liked, and the outside looks really cool - we'll have to return in the warmer season to sit outside or up on the rooftop! We ordered the traditional pub burger as well as the adult Mac and cheese. The burger was good, probably couldn't ordered medium rare for the preferable cook instead of medium, but never know with new restaurants and better to be safe than sorry. The onion rings as a side were also good. The adult Mac was great! I was more than pleasantly surprised with it and even had leftovers to bring home for another meal. read more

They have the vibes covered! It feels like the prototypical Irish pub and is probably a blast on St Paddy's or during a good football match. The food was pretty good. Fish and chips was pretty standard- great fries Chop chop salad is an interesting mix of flavors and looked great! I want to try their chicken, whisky, and mushroom which looked hearty. Their sandwiches including their French dip also looked intriguing. read more

Lansdowne Arms is fashioned as a British fish and chips shoppe. Its decor is reminds me of a seaside town. The waitress was quick and professional when taking my food order of a chicken and avacado salad which was crisp, fresh and very tasty. I enjoyed the food, service, and the atmosphere and recommend for a quick lunch time meal. read more

My wife and I have been occasional customers here since they opened about 20 years ago. The food and service have gone up and down and back up over the years. We stopped in with our dog after a trip to the farmers market held every Sunday in the parking lot two weeks ago, and sat on the very nice patio and had a Bloody Mary and brunch. The interior of this spot is very nice, very reminiscent of an old pub in the British Isles, with a beautiful carved back bar, high top tables in the bar area, booths in the dining area, a private room for larger gatherings, and a rooftop patio that seems to be reserved for private gatherings (there was a graduation party going on during our most recent visit). I had their delicious Irish Breakfast, with two eggs, fried tomatoes, Irish rashers (also known as back bacon), bangers (savory sausage), black pudding and white pudding, and sauteed mushrooms. It usually comes with brown bread, but they must have been out, so it came with toast this time. My wife had the corned beef hash and eggs, and they were kind enough to fry an egg for our doggie. We've previously come for lunch, happy hour or dinner, and the food and service have been good to excellent more often than not. Standouts from previous visits include the slow roasted prime rib, bangers and mash, Dubliner sandwich, calamari appetizer, and steamed mussels. The burgers have always been hit or miss. If you catch Lansdowne Arms at the right time, the food and service can be really terrific and memorable. If you come on the wrong day, it can be very slow and disappointing. It was very good on our most recent visit. read more

Wow this restaurant really blew us away. I had the chicken ranch melt and it was AMAZING. Honestly I don't know what they put in this sandwich but I will be having dreams about it later. My husband loved the fish and chips. I was happy to see the kids Mac and cheese was homemade. My daughter LOVED how cheesy it was and cleaned her plate! We happen to be there during Happy Hour and the pitchers of beer for $6 were perfect. We will definitely come back here! read more

The service was absolutely incredible, Tommy was our server and he went above and beyond to take care of us. Every recommendation he made was so well informed, I highly recommend the BBQ burger and the habanero wings. The food was so incredible, it also wasn't that pricey either. This is definitely my favorite spot in Highlands Ranch without doubt. Thanks again Tommy! read more

The food might not be the best, and the interior is pretty dark, but it's an Irish pub with jovial bartenders and a fun atmosphere. With OBL failing to meet community expectations in their reopen, Lansdowne is honestly the only decent bar in the town center area. I'd say they're worth it if you're around, but I'm not making any special pilgrimages out here read more

Unfortunately our service was not good. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this is the second time we got horrible service here. No one came over to us for about 10 minutes, and then our server forgot our appetizer. App came out AFTER i reminded the food runner, and once we were done with entrees. No water provided. Then the server forgot about us and didn't come back until we were finished. Asked for the check, another 15 minutes went by and we had to ask for it from someone bussing. We were very polite and left 20%. But it was quite frustrating. No drinks for half of our visit and no one checking in. We will leave this place off our list next time:) food was yummy though lol!!! read more

I hate to say this but absolutely terrible food. My wife had the Shepards pie and it was basically chili con carne with some sort of sprayed on pototoes on top. I had the burger which lacked any flavor. Had a salad as well as just pure basicness. Cool atmosphere. Drinks can be pricey with a 16 oz beer coming in at almost 9.00. Needless to say not a favorite place and I have lived in the neighborhood for over 15 years. read more

Charming atmosphere and ambiance, but decidedly average food. Mushroom burger was good, but the steak was served cold and very undercooked. Pack your patience - slow service, which is maybe why food was delivered cold. read more

We went to Lansdowne Arms the Saturday before St. Patrick's day and had an amazing time. The place was packed, but our waitress Brooke kept up with all of our orders, was super attentive to our table, and was an excellent waitress. Fist of all we had about 13 people in our group and at 67 I was the youngest in the group, so we weren't the easiest group to serve. We had one server who did a fantastic job keeping it organized and she was friendly , helpful and quick. The space was very nice and comfortable ( not crowded into a tight space because of the size of our group. The food was fantastic! Done just right and it was old school favorites done with a little more effort than most restaurants to make it special. I would highly recommend this place, we will be back! Everyone in the group seemed to agree! read more

I am not sure if they had revamped their food recently, but it is so much better than I was last here! I had to get their Shepherd Pie which was delicious! I really can't complain! read more

I recently hosted my son's rehearsal dinner at LDA, and I could not be more pleased. We had 45 people and worked with Rob, the owner. I loved that the owner was so involved and went above and beyond to ensure that this event was an epic success - from the tablecloths, floral arrangements, moving tables, to hooking up our slideshow. We reserved the roof to deck per Rob's recommendation and were treated to a spectacular sunset. The food was fantastic (fish and chips were my favorite), and Nick and Izzy, who were behind the bar, were friendly and great at their job. Rob and crew earned a long-term customer! read more

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, good service! Excellent place for a family dinner or a night out.

My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday and I would never ever go back. The service was the worst ever and the food was disgusting. The French fries were cold and one of the kids ordered a kids steak meal which was the grossest pieces of meat. The waitress was very rude and had a major attitude. The restaurant wasn't even that full and just to get our water it took the waitress fifteen minutes to deliver it. There are so many other restaurants around that I from now on plan to go as I'd never return here. If I could I would rate it a ZERO. read more

We were a group of 10 woman..came in for happy hour. We are older. But all have worked as servers in college days. I noticed the waitress didn't have a tablet. So we told her we needed separate checks. She was great! Actually pretty okay service and food. The problem she didn't tell us that 20% was added. One of us noticed. Then a lot of checks had to be redone. I honestly think this group tips closer to 25%. But 2 of us ordered a house salad with add a grill chicken. Again. Our fault but they had a house salad at $7. Noted that. Didn't note the large on for $12. She never asked. We both ate all the chicken. But I sent the other $ 5.00 of salad to the trash. I think she should have asked which size. When asked about she said I assumed it was the large. I also think she didn't want to tell us that the tip was added. Which I have no problem with.. most of us would have tipped a bit more. read more

Everytime we go they are OUT of the beer you want or the appetizer on their happy hour menu. They know you will pick something cheaper. Definitely a bait and switch!!! This happens every week. Decided to go to Lansdown Arms for dinner on Saturday night Food was great! Service was fantastic The band up on the roof was pumping out the tunes. We had the fish tacos and the fish was the best I've ever tasted, we also had the French dip sandwich. It was all very reasonably priced for today's standards. I will certainly be back for breakfast served at 11:00 am Check it out soon read more

For the past two years, my friends and I have celebrated St Patrick's Day here, and this year was no exception. We celebrated early (before COVID closed down everything - WAH) and weren't the only ones in doing so, as Landsdown has specials so awesome it will make everyone want to be Irish! The dining room fills fast, and on the warmer days, the rooftop and outdoor patio is the perfect space to soak up the sun with a view. However, it was far too cold for that, so inside we went! We stopped in around 4PM to a crowded (literally shoulder to shoulder) bar, filled with people of all ages, a live band and multiple performers - think bagpipes and Irish dancers - and yet, found a spot for our group at the end of the bar. Despite the insane crowd, staff does an insanely good job of serving the masses with both food and booze. Because we were waiting for a table, we started with Irish Car Bombs (using Breckenridge ale), followed by more beer, Irish whiskey and the like. In just under 30 minutes, we were directed to our table in the back, which comfortably fit our party of 8. A special holiday menu is offered, showcasing favorites like Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Ruben and other authentic Irish eats! I opted for an order of the fish and chips, which were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of breading! Others in our party ordered the Bangers and Mash (YUM!), creamy mac and cheese and more! Everything came out quickly, and was delicious! The only downside to this hot spot, is the price tag. Each meal starts around $14 and goes up from there - with drink specials starting around $8-$10. Our group easily spent over $150 on just drinks alone, which was a bit surprising. However, the quality of food and drinks supersedes the hefty price tag, which keeps us coming back year after year. In 2021 - you know where to go to celebrate! read more
