We met a friend for happy hour. We arrived just before a downpour ... she arrived in it! Luckily they'd turned on the heat in between arrivals as the dining room was CHILLY! Quickly ordered drinks. Wife and friend's Chardonnays were good. Their happy hour beer is almost ridiculous ... $6 gets you 32 oz of any beer! That's amazing! I had the 90 Schilling. Finally ordered Happy Hour Sliders and I ordered the Mussels appetizer. The Sliders were reported to be good although we subsequently ordered fries which appeared almost instantly. My mussels were great + they came with a nice number of thick garlic bread slices. I'd never had mussels prepped in a cream and tomato base. The menu indicated they were prepared in a wine, garlic, butter, basil broth so this was different. Altho my tastes run to a garlic, wine lemon (and perhaps curry) broth the Lansdowne broth was subtle and really good. Curiously most of the mussel shells were almost crushed so I had to pick through a lot of fragments. But it was still great and with the garlic bread very filling. We went here on a Saturday night around 6pm and it was a 15ish minute wait for two people. It has a very traditional pub feel to it which we liked, and the outside looks really cool - we'll have to return in the warmer season to sit outside or up on the rooftop! We ordered the traditional pub burger as well as the adult Mac and cheese. The burger was good, probably couldn't ordered medium rare for the preferable cook instead of medium, but never know with new restaurants and better to be safe than sorry. The onion rings as a side were also good. The adult Mac was great! I was more than pleasantly surprised with it and even had leftovers to bring home for another meal. read more

My wife and I have been occasional customers here since they opened about 20 years ago. The food and service have gone up and down and back up over the years. We stopped in with our dog after a trip to the farmers market held every Sunday in the parking lot two weeks ago, and sat on the very nice patio and had a Bloody Mary and brunch. The interior of this spot is very nice, very reminiscent of an old pub in the British Isles, with a beautiful carved back bar, high top tables in the bar area, booths in the dining area, a private room for larger gatherings, and a rooftop patio that seems to be reserved for private gatherings (there was a graduation party going on during our most recent visit). I had their delicious Irish Breakfast, with two eggs, fried tomatoes, Irish rashers (also known as back bacon), bangers (savory sausage), black pudding and white pudding, and sauteed mushrooms. It usually comes with brown bread, but they must have been out, so it came with toast this time. My wife had the corned beef hash and eggs, and they were kind enough to fry an egg for our doggie. We've previously come for lunch, happy hour or dinner, and the food and service have been good to excellent more often than not. Standouts from previous visits include the slow roasted prime rib, bangers and mash, Dubliner sandwich, calamari appetizer, and steamed mussels. The burgers have always been hit or miss. If you catch Lansdowne Arms at the right time, the food and service can be really terrific and memorable. If you come on the wrong day, it can be very slow and disappointing. Wow this restaurant really blew us away. I had the chicken ranch melt and it was AMAZING. Honestly I don't know what they put in this sandwich but I will be having dreams about it later. My husband loved the fish and chips. I was happy to see the kids Mac and cheese was homemade. My daughter LOVED how cheesy it was and cleaned her plate! Unfortunately our service was not good. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this is the second time we got horrible service here. No one came over to us for about 10 minutes, and then our server forgot our appetizer. App came out AFTER i reminded the food runner, and once we were done with entrees. No water provided. Then the server forgot about us and didn't come back until we were finished. Asked for the check, another 15 minutes went by and we had to ask for it from someone bussing. We were very polite and left 20%. But it was quite frustrating. No drinks for half of our visit and no one checking in. We will leave this place off our list next time:) food was yummy though lol!!! read more

The place was packed, but our waitress Brooke kept up with all of our orders, was super attentive to our table, and was an excellent waitress. Fist of all we had about 13 people in our group and at 67 I was the youngest in the group, so we weren't the easiest group to serve. We had one server who did a fantastic job keeping it organized and she was friendly , helpful and quick. The space was very nice and comfortable ( not crowded into a tight space because of the size of our group. The food was fantastic! Done just right and it was old school favorites done with a little more effort than most restaurants to make it special. I would highly recommend this place, we will be back! I am not sure if they had revamped their food recently, but it is so much better than I was last here! I had to get their Shepherd Pie which was delicious! I recently hosted my son's rehearsal dinner at LDA, and I could not be more pleased. We had 45 people and worked with Rob, the owner. I loved that the owner was so involved and went above and beyond to ensure that this event was an epic success - from the tablecloths, floral arrangements, moving tables, to hooking up our slideshow. We reserved the roof to deck per Rob's recommendation and were treated to a spectacular sunset. My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday and I would never ever go back. The service was the worst ever and the food was disgusting. The French fries were cold and one of the kids ordered a kids steak meal which was the grossest pieces of meat. The waitress was very rude and had a major attitude. The restaurant wasn't even that full and just to get our water it took the waitress fifteen minutes to deliver it. There are so many other restaurants around that I from now on plan to go as I'd never return here. If I could I would rate it a ZERO. read more

We were a group of 10 woman..came in for happy hour. We are older. But all have worked as servers in college days. I noticed the waitress didn't have a tablet. So we told her we needed separate checks. She was great! Actually pretty okay service and food. The problem she didn't tell us that 20% was added. One of us noticed. Then a lot of checks had to be redone. I honestly think this group tips closer to 25%. But 2 of us ordered a house salad with add a grill chicken. Again. Our fault but they had a house salad at $7. Noted that. Didn't note the large on for $12. She never asked. We both ate all the chicken. But I sent the other $ 5.00 of salad to the trash. I think she should have asked which size. When asked about she said I assumed it was the large. I also think she didn't want to tell us that the tip was added. For the past two years, my friends and I have celebrated St Patrick's Day here, and this year was no exception. We celebrated early (before COVID closed down everything - WAH) and weren't the only ones in doing so, as Landsdown has specials so awesome it will make everyone want to be Irish! The dining room fills fast, and on the warmer days, the rooftop and outdoor patio is the perfect space to soak up the sun with a view. However, it was far too cold for that, so inside we went! We stopped in around 4PM to a crowded (literally shoulder to shoulder) bar, filled with people of all ages, a live band and multiple performers - think bagpipes and Irish dancers - and yet, found a spot for our group at the end of the bar. Despite the insane crowd, staff does an insanely good job of serving the masses with both food and booze. Because we were waiting for a table, we started with Irish Car Bombs (using Breckenridge ale), followed by more beer, Irish whiskey and the like. In just under 30 minutes, we were directed to our table in the back, which comfortably fit our party of 8. A special holiday menu is offered, showcasing favorites like Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Ruben and other authentic Irish eats! I opted for an order of the fish and chips, which were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of breading! Others in our party ordered the Bangers and Mash (YUM!), creamy mac and cheese and more! Everything came out quickly, and was delicious! The only downside to this hot spot, is the price tag. Each meal starts around $14 and goes up from there - with drink specials starting around $8-$10. Our group easily spent over $150 on just drinks alone, which was a bit surprising. However, the quality of food and drinks supersedes the hefty price tag, which keeps us coming back year after year.
