Food five out of five best food ever. Beer amazing. Service outstanding. It definitely recommended…read moreto everybody on your own. The atmosphere and ambience is phenomenal the rustic wood & iron.

Came out from Philadelphia and visited with my parents…read more I forgot my ID and the waiter carded me and would not serve me without it. I am 34 years old with a 6 inch beard. The waiter did not card my parents (ageism) The waiter did not card other patrons that appeared to be maybe 40 years old. I understand by law the brewery should card every patron so I cannot be too upset I was not served. But it was annoying that the waiter did not ask other people for ID but demanded it from me. My biggest complaint is that on a Thursday and noon the location was out of 4-5 beers (all of the brews my Dad and I wanted to try. I understand I could not try draft on premises but even if I brought my ID they did not have anything I wanted to try) They only had the super mainstream beers available that I can get from my local grocery store. They were also out of all crowler cans....so we could not even take out one of those in any brew. (I have visited maybe 50 breweries and literally none of them have ever been "out of cans" before.) The beer to go offered again was only the mainstream beers you could get anywhere. When we asked why they were out of so many beers they said they had a busy weekend..... again I have been to many breweries and guarantee I have been to busier breweries and they never ran out of so much beer. Again we went on a Thursday, so the 'busy weekend' excuse is fairly ridiculous since they had 3-4 days to restock after said 'busy weekend' It would be one thing if this location only served beer but they also brew, produce, can and offer tours of the brewery at this location. I cannot imagine such poor business practices that a location like this would run out of half the beers they offer during the weekend and not bother to replenish or restock any of them before Thursday (4 days later) The Mac and cheese I ordered was p good.. The location was nice and clean with a cool cabin environment. The waiter was nice enough but also fairly slow with service. It took maybe 25 minutes to learn they were out of all the beers we were interested in. We would ask for one, he would waddle over to the bar, eventually come back and say they are out of that one. We would ask for another. Repeat 4-5 times. The waiter did not specify when we sat down that they were out of any beers and did not say them all at once. The waiter also did not provide us with the daily specials. But we could hear this being present the 3 parties who came in after us with those specials. On the way out I asked the guy at the front store why they were out of so many beers and crowlers. He just stared blankly past me like he smoked 5 joints before work and never provided me an answer. Overall the visit was very disappointing. I can easily get over the fact I couldn't drink because my mistake leaving my ID at home, but the fact they were out of 5 beers, the waiter's lack of initiative to inform us of what was unavailable, repeated trips to the bar without saying what was out, waiter's lack of initiative to inform us of the specials, age discrimination by not carding all patrons (which is illegal) and being out of crowler cans made the trip not worth my time and extremely disappointing. I will not be returning. My parents who for the last 3-5 years have had a yearly club gathering at the location with 30-50 patrons will not be returning. The visit made me disappointed.

This is one of those hidden-in-plain-sight gems. It's easy to drive past it when you're looking for…read morea great meal, but don't. Every time we visit we are never disappointed. And the last time, was no exception. I went and skeptically tried their Italian beef. This isn't Chicago, so finding a good Italian beef sandwich has been an adventure, and often a disappointment. But not at The Castle. The beef was great and the au juice was perfectly seasoned. If you're an Italian beef lover like me, make a point to visit the Castle.

Some folks like things bland. We aren't those people. And, to be fair, as we say at the bar and watched orders come out, it was fairly clear over time, that one guy was cooking and expo'ing - he also brought out the orders. That's a lot for one dude. Kudos to him. Adding salt and pepper, seasoning the patties and grilling the BLT toast would raise this rating quick. Easy fixes are always the best. Ambiance? Def a bar feel. Nothing special. Felt a little bland with theme. Maybe bring the "castle" inside? So much you could do inside with the decor (or lack thereof). That aside, it was cool to se the walls of beer mugs. Will we be back? Probably not but ya never know.

I was here for my friend's birthday and had an exceptional experience…read more I was able to taste a couple of interesting beers and then decided to order a couple of Ridgerunner IPAs. That is one of my favorite IPAs, but I've never had it at the actual brewery. For food, I ordered the little farmer cheeseburger from the kids menu lol. I didn't want a lot of food so it ended up being the perfect amount and came with some of the best french fries I've had. I tend to be very picky with french fries but these ones came out hot and fresh and were exploding with the flavor and deliciousness. I was here with a large group, so gratuity was added automatically which made for convenience. The brewery is huge. And on a Wednesday night was busier than I would've expected. After sitting down and having some beer and food, I definitely understand why. I really enjoyed my experience here and we had great service so I would definitely be back.

100% in love with this location, food and drinks. We were really impressed with the food. We knew their drinks were great but they didn't skimp out on food quality either. This will likely be my new go to for Friday Fish Fry as I keep up with my Wisco tradition. Definitely meets the WI standard of great beer and fish fry. Their huge patio has plenty of space for outdoor seating. And to top it off, they are right next to a bike path! The staff are super friendly and efficient.
