Saddle Rock Grill is a nice spot, but nothing really standout. The food was decent and the drinks are ok (standard bar offerings ) so don't expect anything fancy. It works perfect as the 19th hole, I am sure. Our ladies group came for trivia (same company that hosts at Toley's and Parkway), and as always, we had a fun evening. Unfortunately, good service is lacking at Saddle Rock. We had to repeatedly ask for silverware, napkins, and drink refills, and never mind asking for a to-go box. Another downside is that food service ends early (around 7pm), right when trivia is just getting started. So arrive early if you plan to have dinner. The Buffalo Chicken Salad was good but the diced carrots are just wild. Might be better to have with shredded carrots as is more common. read more

The food is always amazing. They offer large, generous portions. The Green Chili is among the best in the area. The breakfast menu has a variety of options, including biscuits and gravy, French toast, breakfast burritos, and more! Lunch and dinner menus are equally as delicious and have quick options for golfers in a hurry or other things for those wanting to sit a while. The food was delicious and there was a very ample amount. The waitress was on top of everything. There was a table full of women close by and they were talking extremely loud and one was smoking. They did not seem at all aware that they were dominating the whole patio. You could hear every word they said, even when we moved far away, and one women smoked the whole evening, and it didn't matter where we sat, the wind was blowing the cigarette smoke all over the outdoor patio. So disappointing. We wanted to watch the sunset, but we left early because of the smoke and the loud chatter. As long as they allow smoking on the patio, I won't be going back. read more

This place is run separate from the golf course and it's a great spot to watch some football and grab a bite. We came in on a Sunday morning around 10am and the service was really friendly and quick. The food was good too. Would recommend breakfast burrito or the eggs Benedict! Both were tasty! Definitely would come back to sit at the bar and watch football. A typical sports bar restaurant. We sat ourselves and the server came right over w menus. The staff is attentive and on top of their tables. Food is good. (The burritos are huge.) We didn't wait long to eat. We went for lunch the first visit and went back the very next day for breakfast. I read some of the previous reviews and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not sure if there's new management or if the other reviewers just visited on an off day? I would definitely go back simply for the fact it's so close to home and the service is good. I would take friends w me too, so I definitely would suggest trying it. There aren't a ton of breakfast places in the Saddle Rock/Southlands area, so I'm glad to have found another place to go. read more

This place is located at the golf course. After you have finished 18 holes, stop by for their lemon pepper wings, fries, and margaritas. All of those are a la cart but worth the price. They even let you chose your preference of flats, drumettes, or both. They are hot, crispy and tasty, seasoned just right! There are plenty of seating options from hightop tables to lower kitchen tables and enough for groups as well. The servers are nice as they have a full service bar. Happy hour is beer and well drinks at a special price. I am also told that they have a mean prime rib special on Friday nights. I loved my wings and had leftovers to take home. Cost is $$ but they give you enough to share. Another hidden gem if you have time to check it out. read more

The worst BLT I have ever had. The kitchen maybe used 2 pieces for the entire sandwich. My BLT was basically a LT with way too much mayo. The little bacon that was on the sandwich was burnt. It's a shame the service and quality isn't even close to being par with the setting. The restaurant is set on the golf course. I don't golf but I've enjoyed bringing my family to the restaurant to dine. The past few years the quality has deteriorated so much that this was my last visit. As a single mom with a low income, it's a big deal to be able to swing going out to eat. For Easter, I wanted to do something special for my kids, so we celebrated by getting together at Saddle Rock Grill. The Buffett was cold, and by the looks of the food, it had been sitting out for some time as the slim food selections were cold and hardened. The made to order omelets weren't bad but the rest was awful, to say the least. The servers were also extremely disappointing. The syrup on the Buffett was empty so I had to get up and try to find someone to help. The server standing beside the bar was busy texting on her phone. After a couple minutes, another server asked if they could help me as she was seated and rolling napkins/silverware. I felt like asking for syrup was interrupting them. Stopped by for a late breakfast with my elderly mother. We were greeted promptly and our drink orders made. After looking over the menu we placed our order. Mom ordered the Saddle Rock Skillet with Sausage and Scrambled Eggs. I had the Breakfast Sliders with Ham. Both meals came out piping hot and were so delicious. Mom's comment was "So much better than I can make at home". I loved mine and am partial to breakfast sandwiches. Whenever we are in the area and hungry, this is where we want to go. I'm a fan of Saddle Rock Grill. Really, there aren't many restaurants out my way. So I'm glad Saddle Rock Grill is in the neighborhood. Decent drinks, good prices and friendly staff make this grill a nice place to go. The French Dip was a little salty, but good and Mr. Mixer loved the Tuna Melt. It was huge! Other than that, they have prime rib on Fridays which I want to try, all sorts of bar food, salads and the ubiquitous green chili. They also have something called "Spicy Chicken Balls" which I can't wait to eat! I want to go back soon! read more

My husband, son and I came here for breakfast one weekend. The servers would not even speak to us! Our server (after 20 minutes) just stood by our table with her pen and pad and didn't even ask us what we wanted to eat or drink. We just gave her our orders. 20 minutes later we get our drinks. The food was cold. I just love to eat cold scrambled eggs, don't you? There were only 2 other tables with customers who, based on our observation, got fabulous service. The servers were friendly and went out of their way for them, even bringing balloons for their kids. My wife and I have been coming here for about two years for breakfast on the weekends. Used to be five stars. Something is definitely going on because of the Covid. The menu has been totally changed and not for the better. They removed both the Denver omelette and the Saddle Rock griddle from the breakfast menu. I don't think I've ever been to a breakfast restaurant they didn't have omelettes on the menu. Saddle Rock Griddle was a unique item. Essentially, eggs on a bed of hashbrowns with green chili, peppers and onions, and you could get it either with bacon sausage or chorizo. Easily the best thing on the breakfast menu. Why somebody would remove the best item on the menu is unfathomable. Finally they have significantly raised prices. For example the French toast is nine dollars ($8.95) I'm not sure how you justify charging nine dollars for three pieces of bread. If it's about the Covid, I get that. The owner probably should just step up and say that there is a Covid charge on food right now and ask for support. I think everybody would get that, and frankly support the establishment. I would prefer this to trying to hide the price increase. I also regularly eat at Doug's diner which is another local breakfast place. Their prices are up a little bit but nothing like this. Overall would be five stars if the menu had not been changed, and there was some explanation about the high prices. I will say the wait staff is always very friendly and accommodating. read more

My steak looked like it belonged on the kid's menu, and all the other portions were mediocre, to say the least. The bloody mary was just OK, and I even ordered a double. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Came here on Mother's Day last week for the first time. Our reserved table had folding patio chairs and there were spots all over the table cloth. Our waitress brought us waters in blue Solo cups and would not stop grabbing the rim of the glass where you put your mouth to drink. I asked for a straw and she brought over one but IT WAS NOT WRAPPED AND SHE DIDNT PICK THEM UP WITH NAPKINS! Holy health code violations. Even the coffee that had a handle was picked up by the rim right after she bussed a table with dirty dishes. I was appalled. The food was awful- cold eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc. The pastries and fruit were straight up Costco or King Soopers. THE HANDLES FOR THE FOOD THAT EVERYONE WAS TOUCHING WERE LAYING INSIDE THE CHAFFING DISHES IN THE FOOD! Each person was $26. Who is this place fooling?! First and last time here. Will never return in a million years. I was embarrassed that I took my mom here for Mother's Day. Stick to being a bar and don't even attempt food service. Especially for those prices. read more
