What a find! BBQ was great, but the guy next to us had a Cubano he raved about as well. Nice selection of beers as well. We'll be back!
It's good. Not a huge selection of beers on tap but the stout I ordered was good. Gary ordered a Tommy Knocker's non-alcoholic beer. It's delicious. Tommy Knocker's is in Idaho springs. They have great food there too. I tried the bbq nachos and we share some smashed potatoes. They're ok. I don't like the sweet of the bbq seasoning. They aren't really smashed. Just fingerlings. That's on me though. Gary said his smoked wings are delicious. I will say that the service was very good although the menu I had and the table were in red sticky. I would stop back in but it's not fabulous if you know what I mean.
We had another go at Six Capital Brewing! This time, we tried the sausage and bbq boards. They were very good! I'm always impressed by the food at Six Capital. The food was very good this time and they have some new menu items. We came this time to engage in Sex trivia which was fun. This is hosted the 2nd week of every month.
This is a small restaurant/bar with a great selection of beer. They have outdoor seating as well as small and large tables inside. I counted 6 big TV's as well as a barrel full of games and markers and crayons for the Littles. Service was friendly but our food came out randomly and at different times. What we ordered was good and I enjoyed my Brisket Blue except for the large chunks of fat. All the sauces and dips were tasty and the green tomato relish was so good. We were in a little bit of a hurry so we didn't hang out but I can see this being a fun place to spend more time
Enjoyed the beer and the food! We shared 1/2 order of smoked chicken nachos and a sausage board. Super impressed with both!
Stopped in for a beer and left with full happy gut. Stout was very good. The smoked chicken nachos were incredible as was the smoked sausage board. I normally don't eat at brew pubs cuz the food is disappointing, not here. I'd be here all the time if I was local. Bartender was great as well.
Super fast, service was great . Wings tasted really good. If you're hungry you should be satisfied with portions and they have any sport you want to watch on. Great place to hang with friends. Easy to get to and parking is plenty.
It's been a hot minute since we stopped by so we thought to go again. So happy to report their quality food/beer and friendly atmosphere hasn't changed. If anything i think it improved, which is hard when you're pretty great already. Six Capital has excellent beer variety. I had their Raspberry beer which was so delicious and refreshing. My husband had a flight and liked all and ended with a pint of the Hefeweizen. They also expanded their menu. They kept their staples but added yummy hush puppies and a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. All their ingredients are high quality and CO sourced. I'm a ranch snob and loved their ranch. My husband had their wings and really enjoyed the dry rub and sauces that came on the side. As for the atmosphere, relaxing and friendly with good tunes and some sports in TVs.
Came here based on reviews of the brisket tacos. The staff was friendly - sitting at the bar- and checked frequently to make sure I was doing ok. I ordered the house margarita which was tasty. My tacos were perfect for me and more than filling. You place your order at the middle of the bar area then they bring it out when it's ready. Busy place. Enjoyed the atmosphere of a busy bar while watching Chive TV.
Repeat offender... we went back to enjoy the BbQTerie and are just blown away with how tasty this is!! Six has the nicest people!! This is always a fun and welcoming experience! Good beer and great food!
A Solid brewery with some really tasty food! There was an assortment of beer from light, to hoppy to dark! I had a really delightful Raspberry Chocolate Stout, I would return for that in the future! But even with it being as good as it was, that beer may not have been the highlight of the visit. The Nachos were delicious, they had a multiple meat options including beef, chicken and pork. We tried both the beef and the chicken, the beef was the better of the two. The cheese sauce was really good, I would recommend the nachos even without the smoked meats. Otherwise it was a simple bar atmosphere, a decent patio, plenty of indoor seating with a couple of TVs with various shows and sports going on. It was a good place to go, hang out with a friend, enjoy good food and a few drinks. I will definitely return!
Food and bbq is yummy here and beers are superb. They have moved to counter service, meaning you can find a place to sit, start a tab at the bar, order food and drink, then they do bring to you at the table. We enjoyed a fun evening of bingo and lively tunes on a winter evening. When you are all done, settle at the counter.
This one's a bit of a hidden gem. They're Texas-born and Colorado-raised (there's actually a whole story behind the name involving the old Republic of Texas capitals) and it shows in the best way, because they do real chef-driven BBQ alongside their beer. Got the pork belly sliders as a daily special and they were genuinely great. Also did a flight and the Mandarina Kolsch was the one I kept coming back to, nice tangerine finish from the hops. They also pour other local Colorado breweries here, which is a cool way to support the wider scene. read more

What a cool brewery and bbq joint... I was in town for work and SCB&B was recommended to me... Stopped in and was not disappointed. To start, the place smells amazing via the aroma of fresh bbq when you walk in the door... Instantly makes you hungry. Add in the friendly service, nice looking menu, and good beer selection, and this place was a win. My only gripe (and I get it, this is CO) was all the pride crap that's being shoved down your throat... To each their own, so I digress. Nonetheless, nice lil spot to get some solid craft beers and bbq. read more

This place is a favorite of my husband and I. I was surprised I had not written a review before. While this place does not brew their own beer, they showcase many local beers. We have had many great brews there. My favorite is a Launchpad Piggyback Ride IPA. My husband has been enjoying a Lactose Intolerance Nightmare. We went in today for some of their delicious beer and sandwiches. Their brisket and pulled pork are smoked on the premises. It is by far the best BBQ we have had in Colorado. The atmosphere is fun. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have trivia nights and bingo during week. It's also a great place to watch a game, and we may pop in tomorrow to catch my Lions. Needed some food and beer so settled on Six Capital after looking up places nearby in Aurora and looking at reviews. I really liked the decor inside, everyone around us was enjoying bbq and looked pleased. We sat ourselves and since they were short handed, we ordered at the bar. We got some good bbq and Brussels to start. The flavors were great. Beer selection was nice and happy they did a flight for us! read more

Service was great! I had the Oktoberfest beer and I really enjoyed it. Also ordered a few of their tacos. The brisket and pulled pork were great but the chicken one was a bit dry. Other than that, I really enjoyed the sauces on all of them. The vibe inside reminded me more of a bar than a brewery, but it was a great place to grab dinner and catch up with my friend. I would come back to try other beers and to order the mac and cheese! read more

Whenever the fish and chips food truck stops by I always bring my food to this establishment as they allow you to bring outside food though they do have a kitchen. Today I happened to engage in a conversation with one of the cooks I believe he's the master griller. Once he found out I've never had any of their food yet alone bar-b-que he said "one second ". He came back with a sample of the pulled meats: chicken, pork, and beef and they literally melted in my mouth. So yeah I'll be visiting here more often eating THEIR food. Plus the other draw is their beer especially the Kolsch. On a hot day like today I got lost in mind body and soul sipping on that beer. Plus they have a few Pokémon Gyms within reach. On top of all that the employees treat you like family and they don't forget a face even if you come in infrequently as I do. And those who have a military ID be it active or retired you get a military discount to boot. read more

Jackpot! Super awesome spot for food, drink, and fun! This brewery actually serves more than just their beer so that folks have options if you have friends that want something other than beer, AND they have food which was far above any normal bar fare. The Devils on Horseback should not be missed, along with the Brisket Nachos. But that said, their beer is realllly great too. Nihilist Imperial Cookie Stout - YES. Lots of taster options at good prices so that you can check it all out. Super clean inside, with nice seating options, TVs, and some outside patio tables, and the service was prompt, friendly, and on point! This is a true standout spot legitimately offering elevated beer and food, for what you would expect at a downtown offering, but more accessible and welcoming in the 'burbs. read more
Having heard the buzz around Six Capital Brewing, I knew I had to go check it out. So with a sunny day this past Saturday, hubs and I made our way to see what Six Capital Brewing & BBQ was all about. SPACE: Six Capital Brewing took over the space formerly occupied by Peak to Peak Brewing in Aurora off Iliff and Buckley. The space is large and features a small patio out front. There's a variety of seating styles to accommodate groups of any size. The walls are adorned with tin tackers and signage from other Colorado breweries. SIPS: We sampled a variety of sips during our visit. My husband is a sucker for IPAs so he chose Aurora Berrialis (New England IPA) and Golden Toad (American IPA) I was seeking something a bit lighter, so I grabbed the Kolschal Distancing (kolsch) and the Saison. The kolsch was definitely my favorite. It was clean and crisp, perfect for the warm day. They feature a variety of guest taps in addition to their own brews, much like their predecessor Peak to Peak. For those that prefer cocktails they feature a small selection of boozie bevvies just for you! So there's easily something for everyone to enjoy here. SUSTENANCE: Six Capital Brewing & BBQ boasts a robust menu full all the barbecue goods! After browsing their menu hubs chose to nosh on the tacos (brisket, porker, and chicken) while I chose the pitmaster cubano. That cubano was damn delish, that's for sure and hubs enjoyed his taco selection. SERVICE: Our servers were on it. They checked back with us just frequently enough, ensured we had everything we need to enjoy our meals, and made sure our glasses were never empty. Love having a new brewery option in Aurora and look forward to stopping by Six Capital Brewing & BBQ for a bite and brew in the future! On our day off we were looking to try a new brewery. We both thought BBQ sounded good too, so we decided to make the 30 min venture to try Six Capital. Lots of open tables with plenty of spacing. We loved their respect for COVID procedures. We were very impressed with the bbq tacos- brisket, chicken, pork were fantastic! And the churros were a MUST! I don't know how they did it but MUAH GOOD!! They were on the "specials" so hopefully it's an add to the menu. The beers were hit or miss for us. I liked the IPAs, she loved the darks. The black IPA and honey habanero brown were our favorites (don't sleep on the habanero brown). Since this is a newer spot (and we are beer snobs) we have faith the brews will continue to improve. I ordered the Kolsch beer and it was delicious. I also had he brisket tacos and the chicken elote tacos. I was surprised how great the brisket was in these bad boys. Super tender and flavorful. I could have another order! The venue is open seating with low and high top tables. Plenty of beer options. He service was fast and friendly. read more
