I think we may have accidentally arrived too late to closing, we were still welcomed and waited on however we felt rushed and also the girls sat kinda behind the bar but were constantly peeking to see how close to being done we were with our food. Server was nice, but the place was almost empty and very sparse in its decor. There was only one other family there, and our order took almost 1h to get and was incomplete due to server mistake. Everything we ordered seemed like a bad idea -- brisket was flavorless lacking smoke and tasted like it was microwaved, the Mac and cheese was absolutely not homemade and tasted like runny store brand box Kraft, the ribs were burned and dry, the wings were mid, and I've never had more tasteless, sad cornbread in my life. Collard greens were fine, but family only seemed to be able to eat the Texas toast. As a KC native who eats BBQ all over the country and has spent much of my childhood in Mississippi, I could not be sadder for this "soul food" experience. I've only had their food at their food truck, and not at the actual physical location on Parker, but they're very good. I'm presuming the menu at the restaurant is a little bigger, but at the truck they offer five meats and five sides daily, and you can mix and match to create your own plate however you want it. Their dirty rice is probably the best of the sides, as it's got some kick to it thanks to the peppers along with the studs of ground meat. But you're here for the barbecue, not just for the sides, and they're really strong in this department. I most prefer the pulled pork, as is my usual, but the brisket is also pretty tasty, and the smoked chicken is always a good choice if available. Their sauce is on the sweeter side, and you get a piece of Texas toast with your meal as well. It's a little pricey, but what food truck isn't? read more

Snowy Saturday night and our friends met us to try this bbq place. A football game was going on and it was extremely loud inside the whole place, not just the bar area. This made it difficult to have a decent conversation. The interior was rather stark and simple and not very cozy whatsoever. But it appeared to be clean which was nice. The menu was simple and printed on a piece of paper. Our pretty server Bianca seemed to be on metamphetamines as she talked so incredibly fast that she was unintelligible and wanted to be done with our table quite quickly so she could go back to the bar area to chat with all the guys there. I'm getting a little tired of restaurants not investing in proper eating dishes and flatware so I was happy that this restaurant was NOT serving on paper and cardboard and plastic! They had ceramic plates and stainless serving ware. However, no napkin dispenser or salt and pepper shakers cheapened the experience. It's BBQ. it's assumed that one will need lots of napkins cuz it's the yummy sauce that's "finger licking good"!! My husband and our friend ordered the pulled pork, and it was extremely dry and needed a ton of sauce to make it edible, sadly. Their baked beans seemed several days old too. My beef brisket was very tender and smoky and tasty and the barbecue sauce was really good. I also ordered the smoked ribs and I was served country style ribs, which are fatter and thicker than regular rack of ribs. The menu did not state what kind of ribs so that's a little disappointing. They were also over cooked and were on the dryer side of things, so I don't recommend the ribs. :( The coleslaw was really decent and tasted homemade but the cornbread wasn't corny at all. It tasted like a savory yellow cake-bread which was not sweet. Not like the stuff I would get in Alabama or Georgia. Needs more corn flavor please. OH!! You will be charged for a soda fountain refill! No free soda refills. :( Lastly: They serve breakfast for lazy people becuz their hours of operation are less than desirable because what dang restaurant doesn't open for breakfast until 10:00AM on weekdays?!! That's sooo late!! It's 9:00 on the weekends but then they close their doors at 7:00pm or 8:00pm. I realize it's in transition from a food truck to brick and mortar place, but attention to detail is critical for success. The breakfast menu looks good. It would have been so very nice if the owner would have been there to greet his guests, but I know he can't be there all the time. Sorry. Not feeling it. read more

BBQ was amazing. Had the ribs and the brisket. It is dry rub with sauce on the side. Rib meat fell off the bone as I picked it up! Sweet Potatoes for a side. All was so good and our wait staff was so friendly. Will definitely be going back or getting carry out for anytime at home! read more

Some of the nicest people out there serving small, overpriced portions of BBQ. Each time I go there, I wish more people were there and I understand why it's not busier. The brisket I had today for lunch consisted of ~3 thinly sliced straps with more fat than I would have hoped for. The hot links are tasty, but pricey as well. I ordered the brisket and toast. I thought it would at least be fresh. I got something that appeared to be reheated from the refrigerator-at least 3 to 4 days old. JUST DISGUSTING!! On the way home I stopped and gave it to a homeless person. However I did put a $10 bill in the bag so the he wouldn't think I was trying to be funny. I hope he got full off of it at least. This is the 2nd time I had his food and both times it was horrible. First time we had it at the restaurant and it was okay the food had no flavor, the service was okay. The 2nd time we had the food truck and the fish was hard, cold, and old not fresh at all. By the time I made it out to the truck at 2pm many items were sold out but I was lucky enough to get pulled pork with a side of baked beans and yams. The meat is tender and juicy and pairs deliciously with the toast! The beans are very jalapeño forward with several small pieces of jalapeño pieces in each bite. It was a bit too much for me but also I'm coming at the end of the food truck period so I'm likely eating out of the bottom of the pot so I'd try them again! I will preface this by saying I've never had proper soul food that I can recall. The server is very kind and attentive. Even though it took a bit for them to come to the front and greet me. There were only 2 other tables there. Training is needed but that's expected for a food truck going brick and mortar. The St. Louis ribs are naked, they have a good flavor, fell off the bone and the BBQ sauce on the side was good. Pulled pork smelled like my Taekwondo teachers foot. I can't distinguish the flavor I didn't like. Not my bag but maybe you like feet. BBQ beans have a jalapeño flavor to them but no spice. That's ok just not the flavor profile I was looking for. Cornbread is dry, she described it as like a Jiffy cornbread. My opinion Jiffy is better haha. Banana pudding is not homemade. Box pudding with fresh bananas and Nilla. I wish this place much luck. Q's is a nice spot for a meal and a drink. I went for a reserved brunch with a local group. They had breakfast and lunch options for brunch that would satisfy most. I was expecting something different so I ended up getting Catfish and plain grits. The food took much longer than expected not sure the cause and I didn't get my grits with my meal. They lacked salt and were cold before I got the sugar I requested. The mimosas were lacking Champagne I think it was sparkling wine. Nonetheless I would go back as the fish was pretty good and others seemed to like Ribs (I don't eat beef or pork). My sister said the brisket was good too. The food was delicious! We had the honey hot wings, brisket and ribs. The wings should come with sauce like ranch or blue cheese. But the flavor was great! Both meats were really good, smoked, seasoned and very tender. BBQ sauce was also very good. The service was great! Okay... Been getting ribs and brisket from Q's Cuisine's food truck for many years now. They are some of the best in colorado. Well now they have a brick and mortar location at 5428 South Parker road in aurora. I went there today for the grand opening and the food is freaking amazing! The amount of food you get for the money is very very good. As you can imagine things are a little bit chaotic due to it being the grand opening and everything is still getting ironed out as far as processes. But don't let that stop you. Aurora now has fantastic barbecue and it is right here at Q's cuisine!! read more

This is an honest review of Q's from a takeout perspective. We had the following orders: 1-meat and two sides with ribs with baked beans and mac n cheese, the other was 1-meat with coleslaw and southern chicken wings. To break down the quality of smoked food was average. The sides consisted of an exact flavor profile of Kraft Mac-n-cheese and Van De Kamp beans - definitely not homemade. Seriously I think they are serving the blue box and a can of beans. The ribs consisted of 2 bones that were a few bits of meat per bone and the pulled pork was a step up with a little more flavor. The fried southern wings was the best part of the BBQ restaurant food. Bottom line, in my opinion, it is not worth the price. The meats might be "real" smoked pork, but the sides are weak and terrible. read more

This is my new favorite BBQ joint in Aurora/Centennial! We ordered brisket, pulled pork, green chili, and two orders of ribs. Prices overall are pretty great, the ribs prices are fair/competitive (the ribs were my favorite, I should have bought 3x). Good sauce, but I would ask for a little extra. For the order above we received 3 small cups, at least 1 per meal would be appreciated. Not a big deal, I will request more next time! Overall, awesome! I'd recommend going in or pickup. GrubHub fulfilled our order through Yelp and, as usual, they messed it up. Left the food on the porch and never rang the bell or knocked. My husband and I tried Quisine's. Very friendly service. Very happy with the catfish, collard greens and hot water cornbread. Husband enjoyed the wings. I didn't get enough crust with my peach cobbler but my husband said he did. Even though I am sure they are short staffed, keeping the tables, floors and bathrooms cleaner would be important because first impressions matter in a brick and mortar establishment.
