Having heard the buzz about Burgerchief I was beyond excited to see them parked and slinging their patty's at Denver Winter Brew Fest. To say I'm hooked after just one visit may sound like and exaggeration... But hear me out - it's totally true! The EATS: After browsing the menu I opted to nosh on the Senior spicy - caramelized onion, jalapeno, pepper jack cheese, mayo, and sriracha. Mmm... So freaking good! I happily devoured it for dinner when I got home from the beer festival. Did I mention they serve u their patty's with a mountain of fries? Because they do and they are delicious as well! The SERVICE: The friendly staff were more than accommodating when I expressed my interest in a burger to take home and eat later. They went above and beyond to ensure that my burger was packaged up securely to make the trek home. Burgerchief serves up a super delicious burger! At my old apartment complex their food truck stopped by one evening and everyone was able to order and try out their food. I got the Gunslinger burger and it was out of this planet! The juicy meat patty accompanied with their crunchy jalapenos and sweet BBQ sauce is a match made in heaven. I wish I had taken a picture of the fries. The fry orders are massive! $3 of fries could serve 3-4 people at some restaurant's. They were great. We ordered the cajun, he accidrntly brought us the reggae, which I secretly wanted but we didn't notice. Then he also brought us the cajun. So here sat two people with enough fries for 8! We shared with our table mates at joyride who were thrilled to get even more fries. Both fries were hot, flavorful and just delicious. Onto the burger, man I wish I looked at the menu before asking someone to order me a plain jane cheeseburger. I so craved the jalapeno bacon upon seeing it. Stood there for twenty minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. No one was in front of me. Ordered my food & waited another 20 minutes for it to be ready. I asked for cheese any mayo only and didn't get either on the burger. It was complete chaos because people kept coming up telling them they were missing part of their order. They don't sell drinks so standing in the heat for 45 minutes for a burger that didn't come the way I ordered it was just a terrible experience. The French fries tasted like fish! For $10 I could have had a better quicker experience at Burger King! Don't waste your time and money! read more

These guys make some tasty burgers. Really like this food truck. Had them outside Joyride brewery the other day. Killing the flavors on the burgers. This food truck is awful. My friends and I have tried it several times as it's the food truck available at a brewery when we're doing trivia. The first time it took us over an hour to get our order and the food was cold and not very good. The second time it took me over an hour and a half to get my food, and they kept telling my friend hers was going to be "ready soon", After over two hours of waiting she went to go talk to them and apparently they "couldn't make" her order. The most recent time they had ran out of burgers and only had fries available, this was only about 7:30 and by no means near the end of the night. The food is just not that good and it's expensive. The system for getting the food to you sucks. They ask for your name and where you are sitting in the brewery but then they wander around for 10 minutes asking every single table if they ordered food, by the time you get it, it's cold. Invest in a pager system or use a cell phone to text people that their order is ready and make them come pick it up from the truck. read more

My husband and I frequent Joyride (they have beer and allow dogs - yes please!) and they have different food trucks every day. I always make a point to go on Saturdays because Burger Chief is there. Their burgers are SO tasty and their pickles are super thick and delish. I ate there once with my niece and nephew who are both gluten free, and the people working the truck were great when I was asking about their gluten free options. This is the best burger in Denver. Cooked to temp, perfectly melted cheese, buttered and toasted bun, thick onion, tomato, a little shredded lettuce, and just the right amount of thousand islandish sauce. A lot of food trucks in town have fancy graphics and shitty, overpriced food. I assure you, Burgerchief is not one of those food trucks. My wife and I just ordered 2 original burgers and a small Cajun fries from their plain white truck at Denver Beer Co and were really happy with our choice. The burger was juicy, not over cooked and FLAVORFUL. Our small fry could feed a small army. The fries are crunchy and not overly oily messes! The prices are reasonable and we felt we got a great meal for what we spent. I definitely reccomend checking these guys out the next time you see them. read more

Just had the Senor Spicy Burger and Cajun Fries at the Auraria Campus. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium temp, right amount of cheese and toppings, and just a right amount of kick with the jalepenos and sriracha mayo. Now that hit the spot! read more
