I have been patronizing this business for many years. I used to enjoy going far more than I have in the last several years, mainly since the pandemic. I understand food establishments had it rough over that time and I tried to support my favorites as much as I could. With that being said, I hate to feel 'nickled & dimed' by a business. The main offering at Woody's is wings. The fact that they charge extra for ranch dressing to accompany an order of wings gives me that 'nickled & dimed' feeling. We've tried wings from all sorts of places and we always end up coming back here- we've had issues with our order not being correct in the past so this time we went with wings only and tried multiple flavors and this was the way to go! We've tried a different Woody's location that was combined with a Chinese restaurant, but this seemed more of the sports bar vibe we were expecting. Order at the counter and seat yourself. I was really craving wings, so I found Woody's Wings on Yelp. I wasn't disappointed! I thought the flavor selection was diverse, with all the traditional trappings of a wing shop. We figured the chance of food borne illness was higher than normal being that most of the employees were men handling food. So we left and went someplace else for lunch. This place is way underrated here on yelp. I visted this place yesterday by the recommendation of a friend. We choose to each get an order of 10 wings. I choose the mild sauce with mine. I will start of by saying that the wings were very crispy just as I requested and had enough flavor to where sauce or dipping sauce ranch was not needed. The staff was pleasant and approachable as well. I asked the random question if they had fried catfish . Then minutes later a warm brown paper bag was placed on my table by the bartender Taylor. It turns out that one of the young men who worked there heard my asking and gave myself and my friend two pieces of fried delicious catfish on the house. Very cool of him! I love love love Woodys wings! It's a bit far from where we live. The drive is worth it though. The wings are always crispy and fresh cooked. Going to Woody's is sometimes a monthly visit for us on Friday nights. There is not a lot of seating due to social distance because of Covid. However we usually get there between 5 and 6:30 and manage to score a table without waiting. Feeding 3 big boys can be expensive. We order garlic Parmesan, bbq, and hot. Ordered takeout from here and got 10 piece half Honey Hot and half Lemon Pepper traditional wings and an order of Onion rings. The onion rings were great nice and crisp. The Honey Hot were good not super hot nor super glazed it was a mild version of both. I think If the kicked both up a notch they would be amazing mix. The Lemon Pepper were bland I wish they were a thicker glaze of Lemon Pepper I think they just dust with Lemon Pepper and Butter. The wings were fried well and were nice and hot. I ordered to-go and when I got back to the Airport area I opened the bag. Oh my gosh I'm not sure how this place is even in business. The food was so terrible that I threw all of it in the trash. I asked the cashier how the chicken is prepared because my daughter has a chewing and swallowing issue due to her rare genetic disorder. The chicken was fried so hard that I couldn't even bite it. The fried catfish was deplorable...who cooks catfish in a flour based batter...that's not how you fry catfish...it's fried in cornmeal only or you mess up the authenticity of the fish. The fries were soggy & cold not even remotely edible. The only item that seemed to be edible was the potato salad and it looked store bought. The okra was fried so many times that it was burnt. I will never ever, ever return to this place. What a waste of $50! I should've known to trust my instincts and walk right out seeing it was empty. The wings were mediocre at best. The service was decent, but as I ordered take-out I don't really want to speak on that. The floor was sticky...all throughout the establishment, and the bathroom was horrendous. I will acknowledge that the urinal was out of order, but that is no reason for the entire area to smell like an outhouse! This was my first time ever ordering/eating here... but I went with my go-to when I order at new wing places. I wanted something spicy and something not spicy... so I went with honey Sriracha and garlic Parmesan. The honey Sriracha had a strange flavor. It was not really spicy... nor was it sweet. The sauce appeared to be somewhat congealed on the wings. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't anything worth mentioning. The garlic, Parmesan, on the other hand, was nearly inedible. I pressed the wings between pieces of paper towels, and between that, and what was already in the container, I got about a cup of oil. The flavor was bland and basically I felt like I was eating pieces of fried chicken, soaked in butter with a little bit of Parmesan melted on top. I also ordered fried mushrooms, which were equally infused with oil... I wouldn't say that I eat healthy on a normal basis by any means... which I think makes this even worse! My girlfriend ordered the medium buffalo wings, threw away her fries...and had about a quart of sauce left over that had spilled into the to go bag! She said that she had eaten there before and it was much better but for my first experience, I won't return. I'm thrilled! Finally, a restaurant that truly understands how to cook and prepare delicious wings.

This place is great and an all-time favorite for my family. It usually costs around $60-70 to feed my family of 3, but it's TOTALLY WORTH IT! They have family packs with wings, fries, drinks available - we usually do that and add a side. The wings are PERFECT, the fries are always soggy/limp by the time we get the food home, not going to lie and say they're great. But the fried zucchini is always delicious! Sometimes takes a bit long to get food ready but that's because it's so fresh. We live over 30 minutes away and still order takeout regularly from here. It's nice that the bar is finally open (they have social distancing in place). We just love it! Now we can sit for a couple drinks while the food is prepared - perfect!
