Great food great service & chill ambiance. The beers were cold, ICY cold and good priced. Kinda a dive bar but very clean, single bathrooms. What a great surprise, thank you for help for this recommendation so I found a great place in Denver area. Here for Colorado vs. Oregon state game. Glad Beavs won & Denver won our hearts for this joint! Thanks again Ps....get the nachos, classy version of the traditional.

We were looking for a place to play some pool closer to my side of town and we found The Frontier Club. Popular little place with a lot going on. Pool, Live music on the weekends, Sports and a diverse clientele. We did not expect such a fun evening when we arrived not knowing there would be live music, busy pool tables and new people to converse with. The staff is "On It" with good service and a welcoming smile. No cover charge just come on in. East of Tower on Colfax Road. See you at The Frontier Club for some Billiards. SYOY Too.

The over charge and I still have the original receipt I was charged for a service fee meaning they gave themselves a tip

Let me say Jewels is not the one y'all should let manage the establishment specially when our bill was $113 and me and Girl tipped $20 in cash on me and I tipped Jewels $2 extra dollars for her 2 cents they don't close until 2am and they most definitely put everyone out at 1:30 when we first started coming back here they played music until 1:45am and then turned the lights on where they had the lights on when we got there around @12am so I don't know what happened but we probably won't be returning here no time soon especially when Jewels says I need my $2 dollars more than she does but we just spent $113 + tip for terrible service lmao but we need it foh lmao

Dried and over cooked wings. Terrible service. Rude waitresses

Stopped in for a beer and some food ordered something simple. Wings they came out over cooked and dry sent them back and after finally going to bar to get a drink for 5.25 for a bottle of beer at a dive bar the waitress said that's what you would pay downtown but I'm not downtown. staff was extremely rude and when they saw I was taking pictures of bad food came out and took my beer and said would have to leave. I left and they called me names as leaving. If you are not a friend or family of bar stay away. They became very confrontational as I left. As if they were trying to provoke me to get into some type of altercation. Didn't work.

    Maverick burger was excellent!

I have been here twice. I enjoy eating here both times. They do have drink specials and happy hour…read more The prices are reasonable. The menu is ample with choices. Pitchers have something for everyone. And the service is outstanding. I had the burrito the first time I went. It was good. It had lots of toppings and was very fresh. However, the flavor was ok. I would order it again. But it was not amazing... but it was good and heartwarming. I also had the French fries and homemade chips. This is worth the trip. If you love really good homemade French fries and fresh cut potato chips... this place rocks! I also had the fried fish. The cornmeal coating looked over cooked but the fish inside was mildly overdone. The fish texture was between mushy and flaky but it was not bad. I had the Buffalo Chicken Salad. I requested blue cheese dressing to compliment the blue cheese on the salad. The dressing was not heavy blue cheese in flavor and was more creamy. The Buffalo sauce was classic Buffalo flavor and not too spicy. The chicken was diced and rubbery in texture. I requested grilled chicken but it tasted microwaved. The fried mushrooms come pre-battered and frozen making the mushroom inside the breading a little juicy. But they were tasty. And the ranch dressing was spot on! Happy hour 20 oz draft beer is $3.75... another perk. They also have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. Overall this restaurant and sports bar has great prices and drink specials with decent dining. One thing I did not try, but will soon, is the fried ice cream. It's not on the menu so you have to ask if they have any before ordering.

After my husband and I got settled into our hotel room, we both noticed ourselves feeling hungry,…read moreespecially since we hadn't had a proper meal since 4:00am that morning (and by proper, all we had was a small bite of Chick-fil-A at MSY Airport lol). Since we also had to use up our meal vouchers from United Airlines, we figured we would just head downstairs to Fire + Spice to grab a bite to eat. Fire + Spice is located on the ground floor of the Denver Airport Mariott at Gateway Park. It is located to the immediate left if you are entering from the hotel's front entrance or to to the right/straight ahead if you are passing by the front desk. While I am not sure if it's the norm, the little chalkboard sign posted at the front of the restaurant informed guests that they could just find a seat before being assisted, so we decided to grab a table in a quiet spot, and was promptly assisted by Eric, who brought us menus and some waters. We ultimately decided on splitting chicken wings and chips + dip as well as individually ordering fish and chips and a turkey avocado sandwich. Since we weren't sure what type of seasoning/sauce to pair with our chicken wings, we asked Eric who recommended the Nashville, which is essentially a dry rub version of a buffalo sauce but without the extra tang of vinegar. The food also came quickly because I swear we had only waited a couple of minutes before Eric came by first with our chips + dip and then the Nashville chicken wings. The chips + dip were probably the best I have ever had with freshly made tortilla chips and a dual option of queso and salsa. The queso was rich, gooey, and had a bit of bite to it probably from the different combination of cheeses, whereas the salsa was hearty and refreshing. The Nashville chicken wings were also amazing as the chicken wings were tender and juicy and the Nashville rub is something I still dream about to this day. In fact, if I ever get the option again, I would definitely pick the Nashville over Buffalo wings because it was the perfect balance between salt and spice. Similarly, my husband's fish and chips and my turkey avocado sandwich were also amazing. My husband said that the fish and chips was also the best that he had and even better than the one he had while we were in NOLA (which is pretty legit considering their seafood is amazing). My turkey avocado sandwich was also hearty and filling, each of the ingredients fresh and just absolutely delightful. The fries that were also paired with my sandwich (and also paired with my husband's fish) was also crazy good. The fries were crisp, well-seasoned, and only added to the overall delight of our meal. We were also fortunate to have Eric as our server as he helped lighten the mood and engage in conversation with us turning what initially started off as a horrible morning/afternoon to a delightful evening of rest, relaxation, and good food and conversation. Eric had even explained he was initially from NOLA, which was coincidentally where we had just come from, and we just all continued to converse about different topics such as questions he had about Hawaii, our experience in NOLA, and about a fear of spiders/bugs. We had such a wonderful dinner that when Eric had rang our meal vouchers up and came back to let us know we still had extra vouchers left, we told him that he could keep it as an extra tip, which he gratefully thanked us for before we headed back up to our room for the night. Overall, I would highly recommend Fire + Spice if you happen to be in the area or staying at the Denver Airport Mariott at Gateway Park hotel. As Eric smartly pointed out, Fire + Spice is a "restaurant located at a hotel and not a hotel restaurant," meaning that the food found here is some of the best you will ever find at a hotel, something that I can 100% vouch for. Eric also made for great company as we ate dinner and had we had more time in Denver or even at the hotel, I definitely would have made more trips to Fire + Spice to checkout more of their other menu options (and converse with Eric if he was on shift as he was a natural conversationalist). Prices are also very affordable for the amount and quality of food you're given making it one of the best food options to have in a hotel setting.

Most of our…read morestay was fine, but unfortunately our experience at the hotel bar on our last day left a very negative impression. Several coworkers and I went to the bar around 12:45 p.m. From my first interaction with Ayme, her attitude was rude and dismissive. She tossed a napkin down toward me, spoke to me condescendingly when I didn't hear her ask whether I wanted to close my tab, and seemed visibly annoyed when I asked for a receipt to verify my charges. I later learned that several coworkers had experienced similar behavior from her throughout our stay, including one who said Ayme had put her fingers in their face during an interaction. We brought our concerns to the General Manager, Adam, but unfortunately his response seemed indifferent. The service only became worse afterward. I was the first in our group to order food but the last to receive it. I waited about 15 minutes for a mojito before being told there was no mint, received a noticeably short pour when I switched to a margarita, and later waited another 15 minutes for a mimosa only to be told Ayme had forgotten to enter it. She repeatedly avoided our group, made it difficult to order, and we weren't even provided basic things like napkins or silverware. I also overheard Ayme telling the other bartender not to serve our group more than two drinks per hour. When I asked about it, she said it was company policy and stated, "you cannot chug two drinks in an hour." No one in our group appeared intoxicated or was behaving inappropriately, and the restriction did not appear to be applied consistently to other guests. What surprised me most was learning that Ayme was apparently the Food and Beverage Manager. Multiple people in a group of roughly 60 guests having similar negative experiences with the same manager should be concerning. I do want to recognize Sammy, who was incredibly kind and provided excellent customer service. His professionalism stood out and was greatly appreciated. Overall, it was disappointing.
