Tacky! I've been here several times over the years and just don't like it. The bar tenders are often so rude and arrogant. This whole place thinks they're way better than they are. The rules on their menu are so so so tacky. Some beers are good but this place always rubs me the wrong way. A very cute cocktail bar! I went with a few people and we all got drinks, and everyone really enjoyed their orders. We also got nachos and the pretzel and cheese to share, and the food was great! Weird place. Really weird. Cocktail bar? Night club? Very dark with some club lighting swirling around with weird 2000s era overplayed alternative crap music playing. Pretty pretentious vibe for having a hot dog on the menu, yet here I am giving it five stars. Why? Because as weird as Dirty Laundry is, it wasn't BAD. I just figure it's not my cup of tea and that's not their problem. It says "VODKA IS FOR VIRGINS" on the drink fridge. What does that even mean? When we went, it was late on a Sunday because we were laying over in Denver and I wanted a cocktail. Thankfully they're open until midnight on Sundays, but there was only one dude working the entire place. ONE dude making fancy-ass cocktails AND making food. He was a nice dude though. Puttin' in the work. Our cocktails were fine. I almost felt bad not caring about bourbon as much as the owner apparently does, but alas. I appreciated my manhattan. The aforementioned hot dog (Chicago Dog) was delicious and we also got buffalo chicken dip, which was $16...? Wasn't really sure what that price was about. It was tasty but there was a smoky element to it that made it also taste like hot dogs. Good, but not great. It's worth a stop just...leave your expectations at the door. Let's be honest, there's not a lot of places where you can order a creative cocktail and enjoy a consistent experience in Central Park/Stapleton. There's just not. At least, I haven't found it. We happened upon this spot and have been a few times. The first striking thing is the ambiance. Sure, there are neon lights and TVs airing sports but it's the 80's nostalgia that did it for me. Their menu includes like 18 cocktails on the menu of which 6, yes six, are clarified. I am a cocktail snob and I can't tell you of any bar that does more than one (that's a milk punch) let alone 6. Drinks are $10-$14 which is fair considering the ingredients used. They also have a pretty great selection of spirits behind the bar. Fun shots like the oatmeal cookie (delicious), spiceballs (their riff on fireball), and starburst (think boozy red) exist for $3-$9. My favorite aspect is that I can get a can of Old Style here. I've yet to order any food because I've always eaten before stopping into Dirty Laundry but I feel like it has potential based on the menu. Service isn't quick even if it's fairly empty but I think it's par with any bar. M Bonus - there's ample parking. Though, you should take ride share if you're gonna drink. ;) Moral of the story - stop in. read more

I went in with a friend they were playing good music, so we were happy it quickly went left once I tried to order drinks from the bar. Only three people were at the bar when my friend and I arrived. I went up to order a drink, and the bartender did not acknowledge me and continued his conversation. It took almost 10 minutes to get drinks when the bar was empty, besides the three other people. Both my friend and I felt unwanted and disrespected. He was sarcastic and snappy. This place seems to have potential, but whoever the male bartender that works Tuesday nights needs an attitude check. There was indoor and outdoor seating, loud (not obnoxious) music playing, so we sat at the bar and looked over the drinks. Ordered some drinks off the signature cocktail menu, as well as the pretzel, and some popcorn with fresh sliced jalapeños. We have had a lot of drinks at several places since we've been to Denver.... Our favorite neighborhood bar! I have not a single bad thing to say about Dirty Laundry, and their Gimlet is one of my favorite drinks on the planet. I also love their warm pretzel bits with the cheese that I call "crack". Something about a sweet drink with warm salty pretzels. AM A FAN! Patio is dog friendly for our giant Newfoundland. We have always had great service and are in weekly. They are closed this week (planned - review below is just not true) and we are bummed, as we haven't missed a week here since we moved to the area last March. This might be my favorite bar ever, it is at least my favorite in Denver. We were visiting Denver and my buddy challenged me to find a bourbon bar close to the hotel. I found Dirty Laundry. It isn't exactly a bourbon bar but an everything you could want bar. The list of whiskeys was enormous but they had some of everything else under the sun too. I'm an Aquavit fan and that is a rare find in the wild. I usually have to special order it from my local store but here they didn't just have it, they had an aquavit section on the menu! Heaven! Dirty Laundry has a real neighborhood feel that makes me wish I lived nearby. It doesn't seem like a loud hook up spot or party place, it's more of a place you go to hang out with friends. I guess in terms of vibes I would compare it to cheers. Everyone if friendly and it feels a little like being home. If I did live close by I would make myself the Norm of that place. The decore is something else. Whoever put this place together and I had the exact same child hood. there was a Comic Book art piece on the wall (it was DC and I'm Marvel, but I'm not hating. To each their own) and then I spotted the Boba Fett Lego helmet of the shelf and above that the full (and rare) complete Ewok village place set mixed in with the bottles of whiskey. I begged for that thing as a kid and never got it but here some hero had one and is displaying it proudly amongst their epic collection of booze. This place has the best cocktails I've had in ages at prices that are a legitimate steal. The ambience is dark and low-key, which I love. The cocktails, of which there are many, are thoughtful, inventive, and well-considered, and if there's something you love--or one you didn't get to try--you can take them freshly canned to-go. (Meaning, they make the cocktail fresh when you order, and use a canning machine to send you on your way). In a sea of watery Moscow Mules and oversweet Negronis, what a breath of fresh air to have new, flavorful, and exciting cocktails to choose from. Each cocktail has something special about it. A garnish, an unusual ingredient (or several), a flavor profile you would never have thought of, but that totally works. Peanut butter and rosemary? You have to try it! And the pretzel bites and Chicago dog were delicious and kept us from completely falling off the edge of sobriety. (Fellow patrons may disagree on the latter point.) The service is expert, friendly, and attentive. Basically, this place is a gem. My co workers and I picked Dirty Laundry to catch up since the pandemic. Although we came here after work (especially happy hour), they didn't have any happy hour specific specials. Their drinks are categorized by type of alcohol (whiskey, vodka, beer) with so many options that we all needed a second to go through their menu. My Midwest co workers really appreciated the potato chips offered on their food menu, since that brand holds a special place in their heart. I also appreciated that their food options were comfort food (e.g. meat +cheese, buffalo chicken dip).
