Waldo's is SO freaking good! I honestly loved the food here. The chicken is super flavorful and crispy. The fries are good too, although they're more on the floppy side rather than being super crunchy. I actually didn't mind that though because they were still really good and had plenty of flavor. The biscuits/muffins are probably one of my favorite parts. They come out warm and have just the right amount of sweetness without being too sweet. They're soft, buttery, and honestly just really good. I could easily eat a few of those by themselves. The setup is like a casual diner, you just order at the front and then you get your food from there. Gave Waldo's a 2nd chance and I'll say they redeemed themselves! Their collard greens are sooo good but omg do not skip out on those onion rings! They were huge, crunchy and delicious! Wasn't told that the chicken would be spicy which I have to avoid. We were told to order the kids tenders which aren't spicy.

We stopped in for lunch and there were two long lines, which we thought was a good sign. I ordered the Chicken Scratch Salad, with fried chicken tossed in buffalo ($1 up charge) and my husband ordered the Fried Chicken Plate (1/4 white), with Mac n cheese and white beans. Service was friendly and fast - you order at the counter, then they bring your food out. As soon as he sat the tray down, my husband said "oh no...." He hates onions with a passion and the white beans had a huge mound of raw onions on top. They were so stout, neither of us could smell anything else on the table. I scooped them onto a paper towel and rolled them up. That helped the onion smell greatly, so we were able to eat. My salad was good, no complaints at all, but I would rank it nearly identical to Zaxby's buffalo chicken salad. His chicken was fine, not bad he said, but comparable to "grocery store deli chicken". Besides the onion smell, no big complaints, it just wasn't as good as the price we paid. In other words, we expected way better food for a $40+ meal. read more

So we've been meaning to try this place since it is newer near us. I got a 2 piece white chicken meal that comes with a cheddar biscuit and 2 sides. I got Mac and cheese and the cucumber / tomato salad. My fiancé went to order it to-go. The skin on the chicken was super crispy and my wing was still connected to the breast which was different but I liked it. The cheddar biscuit was delicious. We had actually gotten a side of them and it came with honey butter. I could've ate the whole thing just as my dinner. The Mac and cheese was very good. And the cucumber salad was refreshing. As soon as I walked in wearing Raiders gear, I was met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. Someone with the group loudly yelled " f*** the b****-a** Raiders" directly at me -- with kids around. It was rude, hostile, and completely uncalled for. A watch party should be a fun environment for everyone, no matter what team you support, and definitely not a place where guests get targeted with profanity. We were introduced to Waldo's while we were in Tennessee and liked it so we thought we'd give it a try in Denver. We came around 2 pm on a Saturday. It was pretty crowded but we easily got a booth and our food came out quickly. This is similar to cane's but with more choices. The chicken was fresh and pretty good and my kids really enjoyed the Mac and cheese. I like all the sauce options but didn't know what to try other than bbq and honey mustard. They should really do a sampler of all the sauces so people can try them before they commit. The cheese rolls are really good but very tiny and most people could eat them in one or two bites.
