Went there on 12/6/25. Parking is limited. Patio is decent sized. Great theme. Package most of their beer. Bartender was friendly. The Wintry Emblem is by far their best beer. Cheers!

A beautiful venue to see Georgia the band. The theme of the place is so cute with book themed drinks, books all over, and lovely windows. I don't drink much so I got this kombucha which was delicious. They have various events, food trucks outside, and generally pleasant acoustics. The tables are lovely wood and some have book quotes engraved.

I came to this brewery to see Shakesbeer, which is always amazing, but I will absolutely be back for the beer as well as other events. Craft nights? Trivia? dungeons and dragons? Writing nights? BOOK CLUBS?!!!! This is the brewery of my dreams and I plan to return again and again. The beer was excellent- not a super strong taste (I had the ube Pilsner and the honey and raspberry kolsch) but imminently drinkable. Thank you for hosting Shakesbeer! I'm excited for more events!

Obsessed with this place! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and had some time to spare, so he found Fiction Beer Company. We brought our books and read in the comfy chairs for a couple hours while trying their beer - the Outlook was delicious and the decor was sooooo cute, a bibliophiles dream (if they like beer!) it was also Oktoberfest and there were families on the patio playing jenga and cornhole by the time we left - super cute.

First time in Denver for a getaway trip with my partner- he enjoys trying local breweries whenever we travel. I assumed by the name the FBC would have something to do with books, but their concept was very nicely captured. My favorite parts were that pieces of the bar area were constructed to resemble a book. From the tap handles to the bar itself. They did a great job encapsulating their creativity. I'm still a newbie to beer, but the juice box was perfect! Highly recommend!

Probably one of my overall fav breweries I discovered in Denver... Fiction Beer Company is a bibliophile + beer nerd's dream come true! The space is so perfectly thematic, from the bar of used books, to the beer names based off book titles/authors, to beer quotes by authors on the tables, to the bookcase with books you can read while imbibing on their amazing beers! Sean, the beertender, was so welcoming; the space was open, bright, and their patio was perfect to take in the incredible early Autumn weather. The beer styles were varied and true to style; all of the beers in my flight were magnificent! This very non-fictional place is worth adding to any book/beer nerd's memoir and a must visit when in the Denver area!

Loved the concept of combining books with beer! We had some great brews and conversations with the bartender. Very cozy and dog friendly!

This was a nice location for our book club to meet. I love the literary theme. Parking can be a challenge, but worth it. We had a great time hanging out and discussing our latest read. The staff was welcoming and willing to describe their beers and make recommendations. The brews were nice. I would like to go back for another visit during warmer weather.

An excellent amber lager!

Literature and beer! What a great combination! In fact at home I have various beer cans of artistic merit on display with my books in my book room. For Literature Brewing we tried three different beers, all of which we highly enjoyed. The first beer was the amber wheat lager, A Beer of Very Little Brain which was a great beer! I love amber, wheat and lager features making this beer a favorite out of the three. The second one was not far behind the first on favorability it was the Honey Swarm Rye Pale Ale. A very creative beer in flavor and one I recommend. The third beer was a Cold IPA, Nameless Leader which also was excellent. Not quite as wild about that one as the other two but still enjoyable and kudos for a type of IPA I don't see often!

I absolutely loved the decor of this brewery. The bar with the stacked books is awesome. The taps that look like the spine of a book was great. I came on trivia night so it was a bit crowded. Luckily I found a table and sat. So I took in the trivia as I ate my BBQ and drank my beer. I got a flight of four beers and I loved three of the four. This is a great spot to enjoy quality beer.

The patio here is 10/10 awesome both in warm and cold weather. The inside is super cute, I love the book decor! The names of all of the beers are awesome and they do tons of fun events like game night and book club. Beer tenders are always friendly and the beer itself is good as well.

A good friend lives nearby, so we stopped by on a nice Friday evening to get a few beers and chat. Indoor and outdoor seating was available, so we sat inside. The beer company has a literary vibe to it. We stayed quite a while sipping our beers as the sun went down. The end of the week/weekend has food trucks outside that will bring your food into you, which is nice. I like a dark beer, and was not disappointed with me choice (ended up drinking the same flavor all night). This is a great little local bar/brewery, with to go options if you want to relax at home with a nice beer.

That color though... LOVE!

Loved listening to the bands, and exploring the huge space. They have olllllld school pinball game, giant jenga, gigantic cornhole, trash can sized beer pong, and ladder ball (normal size). They also have an original Nintendo with Mario. Seating a little tricky, be careful sitting on the benches, they move in odd ways. But loved the tables and chairs upstairs with the perfect view of the stage! Service was my only complaint- I think the first guy at the bar was having a hard time because they were so busy. I waited at the bar for a while without being acknowledged, then by the time he did finally notice me he just held up a finger. Finally a chick came over and took my order, but it took a while. She was perfectly nice, however, and it wouldn't stop me from returning or recommending them. The helles was a decent German beer with a good depth of flavor- I would come back and try their other beers for sure. Highly highly recommend and will absolutely be back for other events! Bring back emo night please!

They had a section with some large games like beer, pong and cornhole as well as a separate side that had a stage. The upstairs location had some tables and a ton of plants. You could overlook everything from the upstairs. The night was fun, but the place seemed dead for the most part. Kind of surprising for a nice weekend night. There is also a loud rowdy group that was kind of monopolizing all of the large games so we didn't get a chance to play those. Beer was decent although they do add a 20% charge. Might come back in the summer when the weather gets nicer.

This is a great pet friendly place located in the RiNo Art district...a brewery with craft pizza,…read morecalzones, apps & salads. The vibe is cool with music playing, garage doors that open up to the outdoor patio & a friendly staff. We arrived mid afternoon on a sunny Sunday for pizza. As the owner(s) say, why the name Black Shirt, "it's my symbol of rebellion- Johnny Cash". " Black shirts stand for rebellion, independence, and the courage to stand apart." And their pizzas do stand apart from others! We ordered the War Pig Pizza and a small Caesar Salad. The pizza was topped with a red sauce & a cheese blend, with cotija, pepperoni, prosciutto, bacon, sun-dried tomatoes & a chipotle-maple glaze - it was outstanding! The combination with these ingredients made for a delicious craveable pizza. I especially liked the glaze, more sweet than spicy. However, the salad was just okay, the dressing didn't have a lot of flavor & the lettuce could have been more fresh. Overall a great lunch & I look forward to trying some of their other pizzas as well as their beer.

I love their style crust! Thin and crispy but not TOO thin. More NY style which is my fave. The garlic bread was also superior. Get an extra side of marinara if you're saucy like me. I will say, the specialty pizzas get pretty pricey, but I felt ok when ordering the customizable. This is def going to be my goto when I am wanting to order pizza in. YUM!
