    Shrimp po boy and greens.

The shrimp po boy and greens was fire. I eat pork but appreciated the turkey in the greens.

Once you walk in and seat yourself it definitely has that neighborhood feeling. Also quite loud with the music, the patrons and employees. Once the server sees you she's prompt to give you a menu. Ask you what you would like to drink. Once she brings your drink and takes your food order then she'll disappear until your food is ready. Once food delivered she'll disappear again. Not checking on you to see if you need anything else or if the food came out ok etc.... The food itself was tasty and cooked correctly. I had the pork chop sandwich and greens so no complaints there. I like to come here for my soul food fix that they don't have at my other soul food place. Two different menus from the restaurants. Luckily there is parking half a block away as it's a nightmare.

Food was delicious and service was friendly but slow. It's Black History Month so I paid this spot a visit while in Denver. Enjoyed myself. Drinks were ok, could be a bit stronger but the staff welcoming demeanor helped. I would definitely go again. The inside was typical soul food spot vibe, busy with music and a tv in the corner. Enjoyed myself! Will be back.

Went here on a Sunday morning early December with 3 friends. It was a little more casual than I was expecting and has very little parking (expect to park in the neighborhood it!) but the server was nice and personable. It took a second to be greeted when we entered and as we stood there looking around, we saw what looked like a buffet. When we were greeted, the server let us know we could sit anywhere and that the buffet breakfast was free with whatever we ordered. That was pretty cool. We were there later in the morning so things like bacon and fish were out but it still had sausage patties, grits, eggs, and hash browns. There's a bar with TVs, giving it a sports bar like vibes. I did expect more Cajun and southern fare than was offered in the menu, (it had a lot of burgers) but I got a side of the crawfish étouffée and it was phenomenal! So good, and hot! It was really small though with a lot of rice. I think it's worth checking out when you're looking to watch a game, just looking for a quick meal, meeting with friends, etc.

Wing Wednesday !!. We got winGs since it was on the menu. I got the breaded came with about 8 pieces there was flavor and cooked well no complaints my bf got the honey hot wings came with 1 sides which we got fries. Service was good. We got greeted as soon as we walked in. there was only 1 waitress and 1 bartender. Small little joint. Not a lot of seating and you can tell everyone in there were regulars there for drinks and it happens to be karaoke night. Definitely loud. Had a DJ playing music it was hard to talk to each other but played great music. Menu looks to be like soul food.

This is a staple in Denver. It's one of the most premiere black establishments that existing to this day the food is comfort, and the vibes are unmatched for all ages randomly has really curated a Louisiana flair with a Denver ambience! The ladies on Stan will definitely take care of you a the drinks are amazed very local. Very dive bar, but this is a place to be if you want to meet the people of the city.

Good vibes just way too loud for me to eat anything while I'm there. I have to plan accordingly when I go there next time.

I love a good deviled egg but this one was just okay, it lacked any flavor. I also saw people rave about the cinnamon roll but it was just okay and dry. A lot of the items on the menu were a bit pricey for size/taste/quality but for a special occasion or date night could be worth it. First, wife is a vegetarian and they had no mains other than Mac and cheese for her. She ordered the salad without chicken which was $25. They knocked it down to $22 after I asked why it was the same price without meat, which still seemed like a lot for a salad with no protein. Kids' Mac and cheese was not the same receipe as last time; it was a different noodle and seemed to be needing some salt as it was pretty bland. Unlike our last visit they did not include an ice cream for dessert. My fried chicken and waffles was ok--the breading was a bit soggy though and I much preferred the Nashville hot chicken from my last visit. If I'm being honest this was closer to a 2 star experience, but with how good the last visit was, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt they maybe tonight they were just off. That said--need one vegetarian entree for the menu.

The flavor of the goat cheese with the arugula with al dente noodles were amazing. The crab cake Benedict was good. I liked the crab cake but I dont think it needed the english muffin. It didnt add anything to the dish. I didnt care for the chicken fried steak. The breading was falling apart and the meat was pretty tough. I also didnt care for the chicken pimiento biscuit. I thought the pimiento was too sour and the biscuit was too dense. It had a big enough menu that there will be something for everyone!

We first attempted lunch at Rebel Bread's café, but they were out of most sandwiches due to a missed delivery. Leven Supply was our second stop, but they had been seized by the State due to unpaid taxes! Fortunately Lucile's is right across Alameda Avenue from Leven and we found them humming along at their usual pace. We were greeted by Brad, a particularly friendly, personable, and efficient server and soon seated in the comfortable dining room which features just the right number of New Orleans-themed tchotchkes. My girlfriend ordered Eggs Sardou which features creamed spinach, Gulf shrimp, poached eggs, and Hollandaise. She chose the jalapeño cheese grits. I had Eggs Pontchartrain with pan-fried mountain trout, poached eggs, and Béarnaise plus the plain cheese grits. My girlfriend had never been to Lucile's. She was thrilled with her dish. The spinach was particularly creamy and savory. Absolutely delicious. My meal was also excellent. Every item was perfectly prepared. I haven't even mentioned the buttermilk biscuits which are each a meal in themselves and come out at the peak of perfection. Lucile's is one of my favorites.
