Saw this spot a couple of days ago, and I was hungry today so decided to check them out. I was wondering why it was empty inside and they only had 3.6 stars. When I pulled up I couldn't tell if they were open or closed. They had this plastic sign flipped to open but their lighted sign was dark and it looked dark inside. I got the cheeseburger with fries and a drink, the "house meal." The fries were tasty for a fry, seasoned lightly. The burger was delicious, the only thing I could've wished for is a thicker patty. The customer service was just okay, pretty cut and dry, and their drink selection was abysmal. Other than that the food was not bad. read more

I had a smothered breakfast burrito today. They where out of chorizo so I got sausage. It was amazing. It has eggs, sausage and hashbrowns in it. Chile was good too. Would recommend. read more

A small burger joint nestled next to a pawn shop. first time visit, I went for the NGL special, an avocado and bacon cheeseburger with the works, a drink and fries. NGL Burgers - The aftermath of the NGL Special; delish! - Burgers Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

I've been coming to ngl burgers for about 6 years. However, today 7/10/25 we went and the service was horrible. The owner had an attitude. He was not personable or even nice at all. We ordered a carna asda plate and club sandwich special and two drinks. But the total ended up being 34 dollars. At the time my husband asked for a receipt because one of the plates was 10.99 and the other was 11.99. The man decided that the drinks were 5 dollars a piece. He didn't want to give us the receipt. Then when we ordered we were asked if it was for here or to go I said here. I received my order in to go boxes. Our thoughts your money is good here but you have to eat elsewhere. Then when other people apart of the same culture who speak the language came in. He was all smiles whistling and served them there food. Yeah I will not ever return. If your black don't go there. read more

This was the first place I stopped upon arriving to Colorado. I was craving a burger and so, of course, I took to Yelp to find a new and interesting place to visit. After stumbling upon this place I decided I'd try it out. Upon walking in I noticed it's not maintained as well as it could be. It's the equivalent of a dive bar but for burgers. The interior is outdated and lacking in my opinion. I also wish napkins and condiments on the tables were stocked better. I had to walk to a few different tables to get what I needed for my food. That being said, the food was really great. I ordered a combo (burger and fries) and was impressed with the quality. I would come back for the burger on its own, the food speaks for itself. Overall this place gets the job done. You can tell it's family owned and I thought the men behind the counter were very sweet. They filled me in on some of the restaurant history and what their most popular menu items are. I did have a good experience but it was nothing above and beyond. I think small updates to interior maintenance would go a long way. read more

This place has been a staple for all of my childhood and I can always count on a delicious meal from NGL. From their carne asada plate to their house special burger or the bacon breakfast burrito, you can't go wrong! It's all cooked up fresh as you order which ensures you get a hot plate of delicious food. This isn't the fanciest place in the world but coke for the diner feel and the yummy food and you won't be disappointed. read more

First and foremost,Arapahoe County has a mask mandate in place and the person behind the counter didn't have a mask anywhere in sight. Now for the restaurant. This restaurant was recommended to me as a great burger place. Much to my surprise most of the menu is not burgers, but instead it is Mexican. The burger and fries were mediocre at best. On another note, the restaurant was not very clean. Dirty tables, sticky salt shakers, and things spilled on the floor and not cleaned up. This was my first visit and my last. read more

This place is amazing! Family owned and operated and they treat you as such. My husband and I started coming here back in 2006 because we lived up the street from this place at the time! We've been coming here on and off ever since then. When Gus passed it was like losing a family member. Nigel stepped in and took over and is just as amazing. 16 years and still love it read more

NGL Burgers - Yum hot pastrami onion ring are big, yummy - Burgers Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

I'm a little torn. See, the restaurant itself seems like it has fairly great food - the breakfast burrito is massive, the gyro special looks alright, the steak special is also appealing. All of the Mexican dishes and sandwiches look awesome. But it's called "NGL Burgers". If you entered a place called "NGL Burgers", wouldn't you expect a place that specializes in, well, burgers? I ordered the burger special today, and it is with a weary heart that I say it did not live up to my standards. The patties were McDonald's-style thin, which led to them being overcooked. The burger fell apart as I picked it up because while the patties were thin, the whole burger was large in diameter. The bun was slightly burned on the top, and they didn't dry the lettuce before putting it on the burger, resulting in wet, soggy sauce dripping all over the container. "The works" on the burger included tomatoes, lettuce, regular American cheese, and uncooked onions - very generic and boring. Bite for bite, it tasted exactly the same as a Carl's Jr. Big Carl, but without the same look or quality. I think it might be because the sauce is almost an exact replica of the Carl's Jr. classic sauce, which is something of a mayo, relish, and ketchup blend. At first it was fine because I was hungry, but by the time I had consumed about 1/2 of the burger, it just got old. In fact, I was almost starting to regret the purchase. Why would anyone go out and pay $8 for a taste they could have surpassed at home? The fries are somewhere in-between steak and shoe string, so they were neither crunchy nor soggy. Nothing special. The restaurant itself looks a little old and worn down. The colors are somewhat ugly, and it wasn't a place I wanted to sit down in, so I stood as I waited for my to-go order. As I said before, all of the other menu items looked rather tasty and intriguing, but I came in looking for an awesome burger, which I didn't get. I will say though that the price is more reasonable here than at some other places I have eaten at. I will come back again and order something else next time to see how they fare in their other dishes. But if you're looking for a burger joint in Aurora, CO, you're better off hitting Fatburger just a block to the west near the SuperTarget. Now THAT was a tasty burger. read more

I've been coming to this place for many years just for the burger deluxe combo and grilled cheese. I didn't feel like waiting at a chain like Denny's, it's not worth it for the quality. You get what you pay for.... a 5 dollar effort. Anyways, NGL continues to amaze me. The fries were really good. The egg sandwich was super good. You can tell it's real egg not the cartoon stuff. The portion wasn't huge but it was satisfying. I mistakenly got like 3 pancakes not knowing they were super huge. I'm not a pancake person but for this place, amazing. I'm gonna try a breakfast burrito next time. read more

Everything I've had on the menu here tastes like it was made at home. Such a great place to eat, devastatingly slept on. My family and I eat here all the time, absolutely love it. read more

For a place with burgers in their name, their menu was only 10% burgers, and they were basically the ones I used to be served in the high school cafeteria. Their salads looked sad and the Mexican food (yes, at a supposed burger place) we also ordered was mediocre at best. I'm so confused why this would even be called a burger place. This is apparently a breakfast/Mexican/cafeteria food joint. The amount of great reviews absolutely baffles me. I'm convinced they're all fake. Until they pick a brand, I wouldn't waste another second here. I should've just sat in the hour long In-n-Out line. read more

I grew up with parents that loved greasy spoons where they could get a good dish at a cheap price and the owner would know your name. My family and I have been coming here before they changed ownership and it was seamless. They still have huge portions of decent food (it's really good for the price) and my dad still loves to chat with the owner. I particularly love the breakfast burrito as I am partial to breakfast foods. But I know my parents (who don't yelp) love everything. The gyros, the burgers, the works. The inside isn't shiny and new, but the low prices and comfortable atmosphere more than make up for it. Support local! read more

NGL is the perfect greasy spoon. The price is right, the portions are good and it's never too busy. This place has been around forever and hasn't been updated in as long. I don't have a problem with that since I know exactly what to expect. It's family owned and operated. They have a breakfast special before 11am.. 2 eggs, bacon or sausage with toast for less that $5. Can't beat that! read more

You can't beat $5 for a locally owned burger place. I'd rather come here than one of the chain fast food restaurants any day when I am craving a cheap burger. I was a bit worried to try this place based on some of the negative reviews from 2011. However, it seems they must have cleaned up their act because I did not see any problems as far as cleanliness at all. The employees were extremely nice and seemed to know the regulars that came in while we were eating our meal. We got two of the specials (burger, fries, and drink for only $5). The meat to bread ratio was a bit off, enough that I will probably order a double next time and split it. I will also order extra onions next time because the onion-lettuce mixture was a bit lacking in the former. And yes, the burger has a thousand island-like sauce, which was actually pretty good. But the major disappointment is the lack of milkshakes on the menu! However, we will be back the next we are in the mood for a fast food burger. read more

This is good for what it is, a greasy spoon restaurant. Love greasy spoon places cause you know exactly what you're getting - good food, not the best quality, but still pretty tasty and cheap. I come here quite often actually cause I study a lot and sometimes just need something tasty and cheap to go. I'm a fan of their burgers a breakfast burritos. I haven't tried anything else here yet. The 1/4 burger with fries and a drink is $5.25 and it's a good sized burger. Price is on par with fast food locations but you're getting better quality and it's cooked fresh when you order it. The burgers do come with a "special sauce" much like McDonald's Big Mac, so it's probably just thousand island dressing. They also have other burgers that have avocado, bacon, etc on it. The breakfast burrito is pretty good! It's much better than some of my favorite brunch places around Denver. Probably cause of the simplicity of their burrito. I'm Hispanic and grew up on the border of Mexico so having burritos that are "smothered" is still weird to me but I've gotten more used to it and their's is a pretty good green chili. The woman and man (I'm assuming they're married) who own the place are very nice. They usually cook when their other cook aren't there. I don't usually see that many people in the place, which is a shame cause I think they deserve more attention than a lot of other places around here that cost an arm and a leg for mediocre food. If you haven't tried them yet, I definitely recommend! read more

Walking in to this mom and pop place on a Tuesday afternoon there was quite a few customers, which I always take as a good sign. The place was a little dirty, decided to stay anyway given the reviews. It was just mediocre, nothing special in my opinion. We got the burger specials and a chili cheese fry. The burgers were good but the patties were so small and thin, and the buns so thick it was a weird ratio. Not a fan at all of the green chili and the fries were just okay. Glad we gave it a shot but probably wouldn't come back. read more
