Awesome. Best I've had in awhile. Food was exactly what I wanted and great value in terms of pricing.

Gyroz is a quick service Greek concept. They prepare everything for takeout and they do provide you plastic utensils. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken. As others have said, the chicken has a good marinade, but the chicken pieces they use are the pre-processed chicken strip pieces you would get from Tysons or Perdue. This is not the chicken Greek salad they post on the front door. The chicken strips have the fake grill marks and you can tell they have high water content in them from their texture. Traditional Greek restaurants would start with whole chicken breasts and slice them up for a salad. The pita bread was fresh and pretty solid. The Greek vinegarette and tzatziki sauce sides aren't bad. I think if they used fresh chicken, this would have been a solid choice. Perhaps the gyro is meat is better. Plus for having FIFA game on large TV. This is really 2.5 stars. read more

Happened to be nearby and great choice for dinner. Ordering was super easy at the drive thru, got the gyro sandwich and salad with gyro added. There is so much food for the price. I m so used to paying higher prices at the mall and had to double take on the price. $7.95 for gyro sandwich, $12.50 for gyro with salad. The gentleman who handed me the bag was super friendly and told me to " safe drive home." What a nice gesture. Judging from the amount of food, just the Greek salad with meat added will be plenty for two people (light eater). read more

Fast friendly service with a drive-thru. The combo option is a great deal with the meat of your choice, fries, and a drink. Both the fries and amount of meat in the gyro was generous. I like a traditional gyro with tomatoes, onions, fries, and tzatziki sauce - just like you can get in Athens. Fries were served hot with plenty of spice. Where I live there is a Turkish fast food stand in a mall. Other than that the only place to get döners or gyros is at restaurants. Even in the US it not common to find fast food joints serving gyros (or döners/shawarmas). Not sure why because it is ideal fast food. Nothing like a tasty gyro with fries and a soda. Mixes things up a bit from the standard burgers and fried chicken. That is why I love Gyroz. I wish there were more like it. Anyway, this Gyroz is conveniently located off the 225 and is adjacent to the DoubleTree-Aurora. I was staying there. All I had to do was walk a few feet to pickup a tasty gyro sandwich combo. They also have drive-thru. Service was friendly and the food came out fast. And most importantly, it was good. At first it did look plain, but then I realized all the stuff was under the meat. I do wish it had more tzatziki, though. In addition to the gyro, they also have falafels, Greek salad, chicken, hummus, and baklava among other stuff. No need to be fancy sometimes. But a good gyro hits the spot. This little place serves fast and gluten free for us celiac folks. The fries are tasty and the number one goes along way. I get mine as a platter. Hubby says the pita has a great chew. The veggies are always fresh and cut super thin to match the meat. This place used to be one of the best places to come and enjoy gyros quickly. The drive-through service is extremely slow set at the drive-through for 25 minutes just to get two items they would not make other people in front move and bring out the food to them later they just had everybody wait, and this has happened for the past couple times we come here thought it would be better but it's just getting worse. The french fries are oversalted past three times to a point where you cannot eat them. read more

I moved out of state about two years ago so my tastebuds "forgot" what their food tastes like. I'm back in town for work and figured I'd pull up. THEY DON'T MISS. 10/10 recommend. I have been driving past this spot for years and I don't know why I've never been because there is a drive-thru. It was fast and the menu is pretty simple to order from. The food was good and fresh. The fries had a really nice taste and the chicken sandwhich was overflowing with juicy chicken. I just wish it had more tomato instead of just a lot of chicken. Either way I was really impressed with the meal! Next, I ordered a side of falafel which I have never tried before. In my opinion it wasn't very good, so maybe I'm just not a falafel kinda gal. OMG is their food good!!! The menu is admittedly small, but if having a small menu means they can focus on making those few things good- they have mastered it!! We got the chicken combo and sides of falafel and hummus. We also got baklava. It was all finger licking good. The homemade tzatziki is on point!! I could have eaten it with a spoon. Great for a fast gyro fix! We did the drive thru and ordered 2 #1 combos with a gyro, fries and a drink. It was yummy but wish I ordered a side of taziki sauce. I think it was 50 cents each. The gyro was loaded with gyro meat! Wow! Lots of meat but not a lot of feta or sauce. I still enjoyed the late night bite. I got off of work late and my chef bf gets off of work late too. Instead of cooking I picked up the two gyros at around 9pm. They are opened daily from 10-10p. I guilty ate most of my fries in the car on the drive Home! I remember eating at this establishment a year ago and enjoying it. I came back this evening in December of 2021. I went through the drive thru and ordered the original gyro combo with the suggestion of the friendly employee. I also ordered the hummus with bread. The fries have a delicious seasoning. The original gyro was absolutely amazing. The bread and meat were soft and tender. The onions and tomatoes enhance the combination with the delicious sauce. I ate the gyro passionately in the comfort of my vehicle. I will definitely be back for more. Be prepared to be asked if you would like to leave a tip at the drive thru. I'm not one to complain but this was a first for me. Food was not the issue as I come by quite frequently. The issue was whoever was running the register on 4/2 around the end of the night was very unprofessional. When I came up to the drive thru the microphone was at 100 and they were talking in a "funny" voice. Whatever, I pull up to the window and she just stares at me before telling me my total. I hand my card over and she processes the payment. She then motions my card back to me and I try to grab it and she's not letting go. She then takes it out of my grip and spins around and eventually gives it back. I noticed as I was waiting for my food she does the same blaring into the microphone to the next customer. My husband and I visited this place for the first time. We picked this place because of its 4 star reviews. We arrived around 9:00 PM. When we git back to the hotel and tasted the food, we were disgusted because the meat tasted old. For this reason, we pretty much trashed our meal. Won't be ordering anything from this place again. Have you ever had someone tell you that a place's fries were better than McDonalds, and you doubted their sanity? If so, you'll doubt my grip on reality until you taste these fries - then you will have your mind blown as well. I don't know the exact seasoning mix they apply to their fries, but imagine the very best McDonalds fries you've ever had, and add a level of salty seasoning umami to that. You MUST have the fries. I love the Greek salad here I get gyro meat. What I do not expect to get... is the CORE of the lettuce head. Take time to clean the lettuce and throw away the freakin core. Has happened three or four times and I am just tired of it. It is not something I want to see. More importantly. It's not edible. I keep coming back. Because I love the food. I love this place! Their beef and lamb gyro is my favorite Greek treat. My fiance's favorite is their chicken sandwich. The only thing that I don't like about Gyroz is if you order olives, the pits are not removed.
