I have seen this place multiple times getting on I-225, so I decided to try it out. To avoid any battles/heartache I ordered the same gyro sandwich meal (in kids and adult size). When I got it home we looked at the portions and noticed the gyros were the same size! Only the fries and drink were smaller (so IMHO, the kids meal is the better value). Now about the gyro itself: the pita and beef/lamb filling were excellent. Just wish it would have had more vegetables...as is, it only had tomatoes. The fries were seasoned well, but lacked the "double fry" that is typical of Greek fries....that's what gives them their distinct crunchiness. I didn't try anything else, but will be sure to give their desserts a try next time. read more

I've been going here for many years as I just said that now I wonder why I have for so long...but this last time will be my last. When you come to this particular Gyroz you can expect to get a mildly warm gyro one time it was almost cold I had to take it back and get a refund. The gyro meat was like cardboard like it had been sitting or was left over from the day before. If you go to the one on colfax it's a complete 180 they make their gyros fresh and actually cook the meat before making the gyro but here I feel the meet gets cooked then sits out or leftover I can almost guarantee that from the gyro I had yesterday. Came to this place w some friends as we were craving Mediterranean food and it had so many high reviews on Yelp/ Google and I don't understand why! I got a chicken gyro combo and the chicken didn't taste good to me- almost like some pieces were undercooked. Last night, I had a craving for a quick and cheap gyro. Within an hour, I found myself at Gyroz drive-thru ordering their Gyro combo and Beef combo. Through reading previous Yelp reviews, I saw that their fries are to die for. And, although I did not die after consumption... I did feel a special feeling after each bite in between my gyro and side of fries. Was it happiness? Maybe. Truly, I was just thrilled that the sweet voice behind the drive-thru box was alive and well to hear my request for sustenance. It took probably less than five minutes for my order to be complete and yet I couldn't wait to devour each morsel. Luckily, I found parking in front of Gyroz so I was able to Netflix and Chill with my foods. That was a good falafel sandwich. 3 and half stars solid. Pita was very soft and fluffy. Falafels weren't great but definitely one of the good ones. Fries were pretty good too. At $7.50 before tax for a falafel sandwich meal(with fries and drink) it is reasonably priced. Parking is limited but they have drive through too. The food came out quick. Incredible. After spending hours at the local emergency room with my associate. we got back to our hotel at 9:03pm. Of course the hotel resturant had closed at 9 and they couldn't serve us. Tried surrounding places that deliver only to find that they also close up shop at 9 pm each night. The only thing available was this local Gyros Z on East Iliff. walked over there not knowing what to expect. It was the best fast food meal I have had in a very long time. Courteous staff. This place is like the fast food of gyros and it's totally awesome. GYRO + I got the chicken gyro (sandwich) and it tasted really yummy. It was hot and fresh. Came with red bell peppers, onions, and a sauce. I am not a fan of raw onions, so I picked those out but other than that, the gyro was delicious. Wanted to get my fix of Greek food after studying abroad in Thessaloniki and I found the place that did it for me. Gyros remind me of the ones I had in Greece. I stuff the gyro with the fries from the combo and dip into the tzatziki. So good. I've tried the chicken and beef sandwiches and it all are good. I had some family members say that it was salty, and I agree the fries are on the saltier side but everything else wasn't too bad. Got some gyros to go; mine was cold, the pita was tough/chewy and the fries inside were extremely soggy. The cucumber sauce was clotted and runny at the same time? How is that even possible? It's 1PM and I feel like I got someone's leftover. Like they forgot their wallet and couldn't pay so it sat there for 25 minutes waiting for someone to order a gyro. Greek salad is terrible. Just lettuce (wilted), olives, feta cheese cubes, onions etc. thrown together. I added Falafels which was the only gluten free option. Falafel was not good. Underwhelmed with this place because I wouldn't really classify it as what I normally think of for Greek food. I don't like gyro meat so I typically get a chicken dish which is always grilled differently then American chicken, different spices, etc. It has a different taste. We got food for pick up, I got the chicken salad, which was fine but just kinda tasted like a salad I could easily make at home with grilled unseasoned chicken on top. The feta pieces were huge so a bite could easily become completely overwhelmed with the taste of cheese and they forgot my pita bread!! Very disappointed because I love dipping it in the dressing and having the bread balance with the salad. I also asked for no olives and my box said "X olives" but there were still 2 in there (no big deal, but lack of attention to making a dish right is a turn off). I decided I had a hankering for a gyro so I searched the Denver area for something close to my hotel. Staying by the airport there really isn't anything but chain restaurants and fast food. Using my handy dandy Yelp app, I found Gyroz and with a ton of reviews I decided to give it a try. I was hoping that it was going to be really good because it was a 20 minute drive from my hotel!! I was surprised to see that they actually had a drive through... That was a first! Their menu is limited but definitely very precise. My mom introduced me to this drive through on Iliff and 225, because she loves the gyros and fries. Now it's a guilty pleasure lunch spot, or the perfect place to get takeout for dinner on my way home from work. I'd been to the Colfax location for late night eats, but I never put it together that they are sister locations. I personally think the food at this location tastes fresher, but that could also be because I've only eaten at the one downtown after midnight. If you're craving Greek, I highly recommend the gyros and salads here. They don't put feta on their gyros without a special request, but the Tzatziki is delicious with the tomato, onion and thin-cut fries. If you go here, you have to get a side of fries, by the way. They are too good to miss! I've tried the felafel multiple times hoping to like it, but it is generally overcooked and crumbly, so now I just stick to what is consistently good. The only other downside is the awkward set up of the drive through that goes behind the strip mall next door. I've almost hit people who are exiting the wrong way at least twice, so be careful when you turn in off of Xapary. read more
