I love middle eastern food and I love trying new places. So I gave this place a shot. When I pulled up I thought it was going to be a greasy spoon style middle eastern food which I don't like...luckily it wasn't. The server barely spoke English which made asking questions about the food difficult. I ordered the half chicken platter. When the food arrived I was psyched because it looked delicious but when I ate it, it was mediocre. The rice was cooked well but lacked flavor. The chicken had a weird flavor that I didn't enjoy and it was overcooked and dry. I had to choke it down to eat it. I was pretty let down by the whole experience and I definitely can't recommend this place and I won't be coming back.

My sister and I made a stop at Grape Leaves on the way to Monument from the airport after reading so many reviews. Thank you, reviewers! This Mediterranean food is legit, and the service is the best! We started with a creamy, delicious, gratis hummus with pita and asked for their homemade hot sauce. Yummmm. I had the chicken shawarma plate with rice from the owner's recommendation. My sister had a gyro with fries. Both came with a small salad with vinaigrette dressing, and all of the food was delicious! I thought I would save some for the next day's lunch, but that did not happen! The chicken and the gyro meat were tender and seasoned perfectly. Who raves about rice and French fries? Evidently I do because both were incredible. The rice was light, fluffy, beautiful and tasty! We didn't have room for dessert, but next time we will plan better. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, Grape Leaves! I highly recommend this restaurant. ~Nora

Still on the hunt for the best baba ghanoush in the metro Denver area, my wonderful MIL and I took the long drive out to Grape Leaves restaurant on Friday. Excellent decision because Grape Leaves rocks. Some of the best baba ghanoush and falafel in Aurora. And the place rivals Yahya's and the Damacus Grill for some of the best Middle Eastern food in the entire Denver metro area. Liked the staff and loved the food. When you're looking for some delicious vegetarian selections don't forget to try out Grape Leaves. (On the next visit I will report back to you on their lamb, beef and chicken kababs:). We were visiting Denver and on the fence about dining here. (We just got turned away by Great Greek, go read that review if you have time!) When viewing the restaurant from the outside, you may think it's a little sketch, but most restaurants like that have amazing food! Lol When we walked in, there were two parties in the dining room. The chef/owner came to greet us. He was really friendly. They brought out salads with a yummy dressing made with oils and vegetables (carrots) it seemed very healthy. They also brought out little bowls of sides, including a few that looked like a slaw, beets, and tzatziki. We ordered the hummus, it was so pretty and creamy! I got the chicken shawarma plate with rice. Portions were very generous! My husband got the chicken shawarma quesadilla and when I tell you that's probably the BEST quesadilla I've ever had in LIFE!!! In all my life! LOL it was so cheesy and flavorful, I almost wish I had ordered that instead!

The food is very delicious. The staff are very friendly, excellent customer service. Really clean and nice ambiance.

Don't be deterred by the humble looking exterior - this place is awesome! The grape leaves are seared, and so flavorful. The hummus is creamy and the baklava is unbelievable! Hussein was a wonderful host!

FINALLY-an authentic Greek restaurant that doesn't overcharge and underdeliver. Perfect amount of food for all!! Gyro meat-outstanding, tzatziki sauce-bar none, mini salads-divine! Engin was a wonderful host! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Delicious Arab food and sooooo flavorful! I wish I had taken pictures of the grape leaves we had ordered as appetizers and the pita bread + humus we were given on top of everything ordered. We had ordered the chicken shawarma saj + lamb kabob plate, which are pictured below. Yummy!!! It's probably my top preferred restaurants around Denver, currently

But... service! Well. Waitress was very friendly, definitely good vibes. But after 1st water, never refilled glasses; and plates stacked up. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. To update my most recent review of this place after getting me the Kafta Kabab plate…read more... Amazingly good quality food and friendly service!! On a super chilly Friday night, after I had been done with my second hustle business not too far from this restaurant, before I headed for another business I would need to take care of, I stopped here as I was famished. I simply couldn't think of any other place where I could get food that always promises quality where I wouldn't have to wait too long to get it. I was truly fearful that my uncontrollable appetite would swallow me had I gone to a different restaurant where I might end up waiting too long (LOL!!) My choice was right. And to be greeted by the same kind gentleman (who had always assisted me in the past) warmed up the core of my heart and soul. He did say to me that I should have called in to place my order ahead because he said that the kitchen was quite busy and that I might wait at least or as long as 20 minutes. I told him I was willing to wait although my stomach continued to yell at me from inside!! Well, I got lucky; it didn't take long. See...my assumption was right; this place never disappoints. This time, instead of the usual I get (the vegetarian plate), I tried something different. It's the Kafta Kabob plate. This is another great dish to consider ordering at this place as long as meat is part of your diet. The meat was unapologetically tender and well-seasoned. It was hard to fathom as to how they perfected this technique to cook it to its perfection. The accompanying salad and hummus were gracefully served in the same container. Did I say that Golden's hummus is one of the best? I think I did at least once. It is because of its impeccable creaminess. Awww...I can eat this thing almost everyday if I must. This is a tiny, more of a family-run restaurant type place. Inside is quite basic and yet it's never messy or dirty. This is a place you can comfortably sit and dine without worrying about its cleanliness; sanitation is not an issue. But most of all, you go here for the quality of food. This place easily beats a fine restaurant in an upscale neighborhood for sure.

The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.
