Worth ALL the hype and then some!!! Check out their IG page @yemengrilldenver for content and then immediately get to one of their 2 locations because the content does not do it justice! Met the owner on the way in and was greeted by a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating and open assembly of plates being dressed for orders. The menu is vast so we opted for the mixed appetizer, large mixed grill and the mint lemonade so we could sample a variety of items. The appetizer comes out and these falafel are piping hot, fluffy, crunchy and ohhh so freaking amazing.... but then you have options to dip them in. Let me tell you about the garlic dip- perfection sums it up but it is so flavorful and you could literally ward off vampires for a lifetime but dammit I'm still dreaming about it 4 days later. The hummus it so silky and creamy, I had no idea it could be this way lol, the baba ganoush is smoky and full flavored, the tzatziki is fresh, clean and tart. The mixed grill is 4 different kabobs nestled on a bed of the most flavorful mandi rice. Don't know what mandi rice is? GO FIND OUT because you're missing out on the most aromatic rice experience if you don't. And then the meats... they're spiced grilled treats packed full of love. The mint lemonade, yeah go on ahead and get the pitcher because you'll want it and then you'll look up recipes because you'll want it ALL the time. Save room for dessert because they have it and it's fantastic. Will we be back? ABSOLUTELY! Ohh and the rest of the staff, not just the owner are fabulous, personable and had the best suggestions to make sure we rolled out of the restaurant full and happy.

I had been to the other Yemen grill thinking I had signed up for the same quality as the other location. Maybe it was an off night but the food and freshness was as mediocre at best. The lamb sandwich lacked freshness and flavor, my wife's falafel wrap was also far worse than the fresh falafels we had at the other location. The banana strawberry shake at $5.99 was utterly sweet and resembled a Costco fruit smoothie but honestly was even less refreshing. The baba ganoush wasn't fresh a the pita was served on a platter that hadn't been cleaned in multiple uses. I guess the only good thing is that they are open till 11pm. Not sure what went wrong last night. But hope the quality can approve.

Yemen grill lets you watch as they make each of the dishes fresh and hot for each order. I wish you could hear the crunch of each falafel! Hands down you HAVE to order the grape leaves! These are the best and most flavorful, clearly handmade, grape leaves I have had. They carry a bright and salty flavor that had us fighting for the last one! My partner said this was the most moist and flavorful shawarma wrap that he had ever had. They offer delivery and family meals too, that would make a perfect meal prep for a busy week!! The only downfall is that I was sad to see that this location does not have the cafe options like their other location.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. The lamb haneeth was incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, it literally fell off the bone. The grilled chicken was juicy with a great smoky char, and the rice was fragrant and cooked just right. The hummus and salad were fresh and balanced everything beautifully. On top of the food, the service made the experience even better. Aqeel was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. He took the time to make sure everything was right and made us feel comfortable and appreciated. You can tell he really cares about the customers. Highly recommend this place for authentic, hearty food and warm hospitality. I'll definitely be coming back!

WOW yum!!! We had the gyro...it was LOADED with meat (lamb). We had the falafel and as a New Yorker who loves the falafel carts... these were better! The falafel balls were chopped and tossed in the lettuce and they were a generous portion of falafel. The strawberry and banana fruit smoothie was fresh and delicious! The baklava was ridiculously delicious. Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant! Definitely coming back.

    21. Chicken Mandi
    Shareen S.

Yemeni cuisine is famous for its rich and meaty flavors. My favorite dish is the Chicken Mandy. Mandy is a dish with chicken, lamb, or beef served over a bed of fragrant rice. The meat is traditionally cooked inside a tandoor or clay oven, or sometimes referred to as buried underground-- which gives it a smoky flavor and most tender, fall off the bone texture. I can guarantee it's cultural authenticity in flavors because I have experienced the real thing in the Middle East, even right down to the interior decor. I also love the fresh mango juice. And it is as mouth-watering as it sounds! Yemen Grill restaurant has been around for many years and the quality of food, produce, and meat, as well as the dining experience has been consistently high. It's a family style restaurant with booths and large sharing tables promoting a more traditional and communal dining experience. This restaurant has become very popular so plan to arrive early, especially when dining in the evening. Orders are made fresh, with generous portions, and are turned out quickly. The grilling station is upfront so you can watch your food getting prepared. Come hungry, and leave happy.

I am so impressed with Yemeni Grill! We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, shish tawook with rice, lamb haneeth, grape leaves, and a jug of mango juice, everything was absolutely delicious. All the meats were incredibly tender and full of flavor, and the food came out fresh and perfectly seasoned. The stuffed grape leaves were honestly the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Truly outstanding! The service is just as amazing as the food. Aqeel is the best, he greets you like family the moment you walk in, always with a big smile. The hospitality here makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. If you want incredible Middle Eastern food with warm, genuine service, Yemeni Grill is a must try. Highly recommended!

This place is extremely welcoming. The customer service is amazing and inviting. The food is really good, just as advertised.

    42. Tekah Lamb with Fries
    Eric G.

We've been wanting to try this place for a bit. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff were welcoming when we first walked in. The lamb tekah was tender and flavoured well. The fries were crispy and generously portioned. We had ordered the falafel appetizer, but it arrived after we were finished with our meal. Those were also cooked well. The cucumber dip was delicious! One thing is the person serving us seemed very much like they didn't want to be there, seemed preoccupied with anything but waiting on the tables. So go, the food is great! Just be aware that it may take a while to actually order it.

I brought the in-laws here while they were in town and it was no better way to start their trip off right in Denver! The dishes are made to order so everything was fresh, the food was nice and hot, and the portions were huge. We all ended up getting the gyro plate and everything was so well seasoned and flavorful. My husband and I are still talking about this place even a month later so we will definitely be back!

This restaurant serves amazing middle eastern food might be an understatement. Hence, the reviews averaging 4.5 stars truly reflects accolades many felt when they utilized this business. And I am glad to say that I could add to their raves today. First things first: This place recently moved to (what I would call it) northeast from where it used to be. I had no clue about this so when I showed up to the old location, I freaked out! I immediately had a sign of relief once I got to know that they literally moved across from the street of Havana. When I placed my order, the estimated time of food being ready was anywhere between 5:09pm and 5:20pm. Despite the fact that I first went to their old location, when I arrived at the restaurant at the new location, it was still before the promised time. And yet. my food, to my surprise, had already been ready waiting to be picked up by me. There were two guys upfront. One of them immediately greeted me as I walked up. Service seemed a bit basic and yet there was no rudeness or anything like that. I call it "decent" so hence I could rate that part 3 stars. But what's more important (to me) was the quality of food. I got me the Tabbouleh ($8.49) and Combo Chicken and Lamb Kebab with Rice ($24.49). Whereas the Tabbouleh is/was priced fairly reasonably, I thought the Chicken and Lamb Kebab with Rice was a bit pricy/pricey. Oh well, in this day and age, what can you expect? Cheap quality food is kind of a thing of the past nowadays. I was truly counting on the quality itself. I wasn't disappointed in any way when I started to savor my food. I have had Tabbouleh that was too sour or too lemony but Yemen Grill truly perfected in the Tabbouleh making. Same sentiment goes with the Combo plate. What I was impressed with the most was the Hummus. This was, by far the creamiest hummus I've ever tasted in my entire life. Not that I don't like the taste of garbanzo beans, this hummus didn't taste like garbanzo beans AT ALL. The bed of rice and the two meats (chicken and lamb) were perfectly cooked as well. Let's not forget to mention about restaurant's interior before I conclude this review. It was clean and spacious. Whatever the reason they had to move to this new location, keep up the good work by keeping the place spotlessly clean. As well all know that a any restaurant should have a clean facility, clean utensils, good service but most of all, quality food, this restaurant (as of the writing of this review) checks all the categories.

And I'm so sad the dessert baklava was not that great. Smuttered in chocolate, the nuts and honey classic flavor could not be tasted. They have a few other dishes in curious to come back to try. But... service! Well. Waitress was very friendly, definitely good vibes. But after 1st water, never refilled glasses; and plates stacked up. To update my most recent review of this place after getting me the Kafta Kabab plate…read more... Amazingly good quality food and friendly service!! On a super chilly Friday night, after I had been done with my second hustle business not too far from this restaurant, before I headed for another business I would need to take care of, I stopped here as I was famished. I simply couldn't think of any other place where I could get food that always promises quality where I wouldn't have to wait too long to get it. I was truly fearful that my uncontrollable appetite would swallow me had I gone to a different restaurant where I might end up waiting too long (LOL!!) My choice was right. And to be greeted by the same kind gentleman (who had always assisted me in the past) warmed up the core of my heart and soul. He did say to me that I should have called in to place my order ahead because he said that the kitchen was quite busy and that I might wait at least or as long as 20 minutes. I told him I was willing to wait although my stomach continued to yell at me from inside!! Well, I got lucky; it didn't take long. See...my assumption was right; this place never disappoints. This time, instead of the usual I get (the vegetarian plate), I tried something different. It's the Kafta Kabob plate. This is another great dish to consider ordering at this place as long as meat is part of your diet. The meat was unapologetically tender and well-seasoned. It was hard to fathom as to how they perfected this technique to cook it to its perfection. The accompanying salad and hummus were gracefully served in the same container. Did I say that Golden's hummus is one of the best? I think I did at least once. It is because of its impeccable creaminess. Awww...I can eat this thing almost everyday if I must. This is a tiny, more of a family-run restaurant type place. Inside is quite basic and yet it's never messy or dirty. This is a place you can comfortably sit and dine without worrying about its cleanliness; sanitation is not an issue. But most of all, you go here for the quality of food. This place easily beats a fine restaurant in an upscale neighborhood for sure.
