Four friends were looking for a good restaurant. A search of Yelp revealed Olive Branch Grill with a 4.6 rating. It is located about 30 minutes or more from our homes in a newly developed area surrounded by chain stores and chain restaurants. We reserved a table and took the significant drive out to the restaurant. Ambience: 2/5. Located in something of a strip mall commercial area. The dining decor is not impressive. Plastic plants and bathrooms located behind storage shelves along with a view of a liquor store across the parking lot don't make for a romantic setting. But as they say, you can't eat the atmosphere. Service: 4/5. Our waiter was capable. He was wearing a baseball cap, something I don't usually see at restaurants other than fast food joints, but he efficiently dealt with us and delivered the food in a timely fashion. Food: 5/5 We each ordered the three marinated and grilled lamb chops, which included a Greek salad and saffron rice. The salad was crisp and tasty, the saffron rice was delicious, and the grilled chops were downright wonderful. Overall: 4/5. read more

I'm somewhat new to the area and have discovered this excellent restaurant. The Mediterranean/Greek fare is always on point. Chris and Amanda do such a great job and treat their guests like family. Overall, the experience was nice! The food was phenomenal and service was very attentive. It's a little confusing as the outside of the building and when you first walk in represent a casual dining experience, but then the white clothed tables give it a higher scale setting (which we were not prepared for). We came for the casual with our two young kids. They had a nice kids menu, but note I'd say business casual attire is preferred. We will return, but probably just for a date night. read more

I have only eaten here once but when I asked about switching my spaghetti to angel hair pasta, I was pleasantly surprised. Many restaurants do not carry angel hair pasta. The food was delicious. The spaghetti sauce was nice and the meatballs were not too spicy or too big.Although you still had to cut them up. The service was excellent. The ambiance was nice, and the best thing about the enveance was the music was there.You could hear it, but it was background! Far too many restaurants play their music too loud. I mean, when you can't talk to your partner at the table. Because of the music, that's a problem. This one did well with the music being just barely there which was perfect. This place is amazing! We were visiting family and it's their fav place so we all went. Easy location but busy parking lot so come early. We were immediately seated with room for their baby carrier. Called my wife to meet me here after work. She beat me there, and the place was fully booked, so we grabbed seats at the bar for dinner. We ordered the Roasted Saganaki appetizer and drinks while deciding what to get -- it was fantastic with the roasted garlic and cherry tomatoes. Highly recommend! Our dinners arrived shortly after. My wife had the Greek Salad with Salmon and I had the Spaghetti with Meatballs. Both dishes were superbly prepared -- we cleaned our plates! I didn't give five stars only because the bar area was a bit overwhelmed. Amanda, our bartender, was clearly overworked and struggling to keep up with washing glasses that were piling up. The ambiance is very cozy, would be perfect for a romantic date. There is a small bar area tucked in the front corner, so also nice if you want to have a drink with someone. Just had lunch at Olive Branch Grill for the first time. It was amazing! From the time Chris sat us at our table, service was great! Ordered the Chambord Margarita (sweetly delicious), Spanakopita (appetizer special that came with homemade tzatziki and hummus), Gyro Platter, and limoncello cake. Everything was so delicious! They have provided consistent above average service and menu items at reasonable prices. i do, though, believe they could improve on their bar and mixed drinks, as for example their Old Fashion is not up to standard, perhaps as are some other common mixed drinks. Appetizer: Calamari was good, served with marinara and tartar sauce, and a small Greek salad. Entrees: His Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken was delicious with a rich creamy sauce. My Chicken Paparrdello was fresh and so good with store made paparedello and fresh vegetables -- the asparagus was thin and so good! Cute little place that I've passed for a long time and finally made it in. We had lunch and the parking lot is horrible. There are a bunch of restaurants nearby and therefore, all the spots were taken. BUT...it was completely worth walking from whatever fast food place I found a spot in! Fried calamari with the house salad: perfectly fried and seasoned. The salad dressing should be illegal and I may have to start drinking it. The dip sampler: How did I not know about spicy feta dip? Where has this been all my life? The hummus was perfect and the tziki was even better! The gyro plate: TONS of food. Perfectly seasoned saffron rice, gyro meat, pita and house salad. Everything was cooked to perfection! Maria was attentive and helped us with recommendations. She was very sweet! We also met one of the owners/chef (I didn't get his name) and he explained some of his culinary background (good resume!) and that they are family owned. This restaurant is so unassuming and hidden, tucked away behind a tire shop within a plaza, and next to a well-traveled intersection. Mostly a Mediterranean l menu, I am pleased to have such a restaurant near by and in an area that is generally lacking this type of cuisine. Service is average paced, but friendly. I never feel rushed, and I also never feel like I'm wasting time just waiting around. The food itself is kind of all over the place, ranging from average to pretty good. Nothing is super outstanding. The calamari is quite good, but i wish I also came with the little legs and not just the rings. It is perfectly battered, fried, and seasoned though. Sauces are all nice. The gyros left a lot to be desired. Wouldn't order that again. The paella was okay. I love the salad. It's just a well-done typical Greek salad. Overall we had a nice meal. Service was friendly, food was above average. The food came out more quickly than we liked but yet cocktails were slow. I was still eating my salad when the entrees were served so we felt rushed. We were in and out in less than 1 hour - not ideal for a Saturday evening out dinner. Also, it's impossible to just walk in and dine because they book every table with reservations. While we were there there were several tables that sat empty the entire time but were reserved. Considering that some people will be no-shows, it seems wasteful especially since we saw several groups turned away. Opening a few tables for walk-ins seems a better option. We will be back again but will make sure the waiter slows down the order a bit. read more

What a great find in Aurora, Colorado off Parker Rd. and Arapahoe Rd. A new Greek and Italian restaurant! Fun to discover clean, delicious food in a family owned atmosphere! Great value pricing and delicious taste! The Shrimp Souvlaki was delicious. The Beef & Lamb Gyro plate was huge and flavorful! The pitas are fresh and the Tzatziki is light and fresh. The homemade rolls and garlic tomato dip will knock your socks off! The Italian Beef Bolognese lasagna was like eating a light masterpiece in Italy! Great service, but wilted veggies that are over dressed. I got a side Caesar salad that was drenched in dressing to the point it was inedible. Then, I ordered the vegetarian pita sandwich, which had great tzatziki but again, the oil from the olives were so overwhelming that it made the pita soggy before it hit the table, and the veggies all tasted like nothing but olives. This restaurant is unique beyond belief. Every single dining experience is always at least a 10*** They often have "special" events such as A night in Spain which was more than we expected. Food is consistently fresh & cooked on sight! No premade items sent in as so many other restaurants are now doing.
