I recently ate at taco Selene it's a little hole in the wall taco spot in Aurora and I really enjoyed this place. I got the house special fish taco and the chicken taco and a chicken sopes and everything was seasoned so well! just overall good cooking and their salsas paired very well with the tacos and they have a variety. We also tried the Jamaica drink. It was good. I wish the flavor was a little bit stronger, but I did like that. It wasn't overly sweet.

Yum! Everything you've heard about it is true- best tacos in Aurora. The end. Whatever they use to marinate the meat is absolutely divine. Carne Asada taco was melt in your mouth delicious. The Al Pastor taco has a sweet and tangy taste. It pairs well with everything. The salsa bar is a serve-yourself-delicious treat with fresh ingredients and superb spice. Service is super fast with tacos coming out about 4 minutes after you place the order. The dining area offers many seating options. Love and will be back again. At $2.50 per taco, it's a true steal.

Without even thinking about it, we rolled up on a Tuesday and enjoyed the special of $2 tacos for taco Tuesday. And my husband kept saying "I should have ordered more." All of the tacos were SO good. Great prices, impressive time to readiness, kind staff. And most important - DELICIOUS! There's also a salsa/toppings buffet bar that has some tasty sauces and pickled veggies!

I'm from California and grew up in a predominantly Mexican neighborhood...so trust me when I say that this restaurant is LEGIT! The prices here are some of the best around! $2.50 for a taco ($2 each for Taco Tuesdays), and $9 a burrito or quesadilla. They serve authentic, genuine flavors and there's a self-serve salsa/condiment bar with lots of great options. This last time around, I ordered 2 tacos de bucce (cheek) and a carne asada burrito with sour cream. My tacos were very flavorful and paired very well with the habanero/orange salsa. My burrito was absolutely delicious and so filling! It's packed very thick and I had plenty of leftovers. This is my new go-to Mexican food joint and I look forward to returning!

Been here 3 o4 times, always good, always great service. One of the best taco places in Denver.

I went here on a recommendation from a friend, and I told him I wasn't sure if I wanted to curse him or thank him because this place is addictive! This small business is in a strip mall off of 6th Avenue between Buckley and Chambers. Food is made to order and at $2.50 for tacos, cheap! The meat is flavorful, seasoned well, and tender. Served on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro, it can be eaten on its own--but if you want some spice (and I mean SPICE), head over to their salsa bar. Pickled veggies and lime as well as multiple fresh salsas await to accompany your tacos, tortas, sopas, burritos, or quesadillas. You can eat in the restaurant or get it to go. I will definitely be back soon for more! (I will try to wait at least a few days before my return, but that's going to be hard.)

This place is the best authentic Mexican taco shop I've been to. Taco Tuesday is $2 a taco and it is generous on portions. Service is fast. Casual seating inside

No frills taco shop in Aurora. From all the taco restaurants I tried in Colorado, I like Tacos Selene the best. It totally gives the mom and pop shop vibes. You order from the counter first, they give you a number and then sit wherever you want. As you wait for your tacos, tortas or burritos, go to the salsa and condiments bar to grab the limes, 4 different types of salsa, sliced radishes, etc. It's my first time here but I definitely enjoyed the lengua and carne asada tacos. I can't decide which salsas were my favorite but the orange one definitely has a kick- to the point that I had to wipe my nose and all that lol. Will definitely be back and try the burritos & quesadilla! This might by my go-to taco place now :)

Pretty spacious casual local taco shop with self serve sauce bar and soft drink dispenser machine. This is my favorite taco restaurant in Aurora for very affordable and delicious taco Tuesday. Fast food restaurant system to order at the register, they give you a card with number to hang up, and bring food to your table (so not really that much "service"). Green sauce is mild, orange sauce is medium, and brownish red sauce is pretty spicy. Strongly recommend the horchatta as must order drink!

Al Pastor and adobada. - Three tacos filled with beef, chopped onions, and cilantro are served on a paper plate, accompanied by salsa and small containers of toppings.

Venalonzo's is precisely the kind of establishment that rewards those willing to look past first impressions. The Centennial location is compact and the line can stretch, but do not let that deter you -- this kitchen operates with a velocity and precision that puts most full-service restaurants to shame. "Plates emerge from the kitchen in a near-constant stream -- the kind of efficiency that only comes from genuine mastery of the craft." The Quesabirria (order of 3) is the undisputed centerpiece of the menu and my standing order without exception. Crisp, cheese-lacquered tortillas enveloping deeply braised birria -- accompanied by a rich consommé for dipping -- it is the sort of dish that renders all other taco conversations irrelevant. A word on logistics: the Centennial location is ideally suited for a solo visit or a small group lunch -- it is my go-to for a quick, exceptional midday break. For two people, ordered a set of 3 tacos (2x barbacoa and carnitas) and then another 3 tacos (asada, carnitas, and pastor), birria egg rolls, and a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Not a big deal but they put all the tacos in one box and I was able to differentiate which 3 tacos that I ordered. This place is super stingy with salsa. They gave me 2 tiny containers for salsa and then when I asked for a couple more, the lady said she could only give me two more. :( Excited to try the food and started off great with a simple bean, cheese, and rice burrito but outside of that everything else was very meh. Not sure how but all the meats were so dry, I ordered braised/slow cooked meats (barbacoa and carnitas). Asada and pastor were okay as well. Everything lacked seasoning and the salsa didn't add much to the tacos either. Birria tacos were also dry and consommé needed salt to be added. Value was not bad at $37.64. Tacos were about $3-3.20 per

A lot of places popped up, but this Mexican restaurant really stood out -- great reviews and the food pictures looked amazing. It's about 13 minutes from the airport, which made it super convenient. From the outside, it looks small, but once you walk in, it's surprisingly spacious. We were seated immediately, and our server was absolutely phenomenal -- so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. For an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido with chorizo (you can choose corn or flour tortillas). This is one of my favorite dishes to get at any Mexican restaurant if they offer it, and this one did not disappoint. The cheese was perfectly melty and stretchy, and the chorizo had great flavor that paired so well with it. Wrapping that cheesy, savory goodness in a warm tortilla? So good. For my main dish, I ordered the quesabirria -- corn tortillas filled with birria and cheese, fried crispy, and served with consommé for dipping. It was decent, but I will say it didn't have quite as much flavor as I'm used to with quesabirria. Still enjoyable, just could've used a bit more seasoning. The beans were actually delicious and full of flavor, but the rice was a little bland and could've used some salt. Overall, the service was amazing, the restaurant was clean, and even though it was busy, everything came out in a timely manner. The prices were also very reasonable -- definitely not expensive for the quality and portions. I would absolutely come back to try other dishes. With just a little more seasoning in some areas, it would easily be a five-star spot for me!
