Red Chilaquiles Plate. No eggs
Cassandra R.

This was my second time here. Here's what we ordered: Coffee -weak but loved my mug Horchata-powdered and grainy Chilaquiles- sauce really red. Not a ton of flavor. They used shredded white cheese rather than Cotija. No onions or cilantro on the chilaquiles which was really needed for some level of flavor. Very bland dish. I didn't get eggs, but that still shouldn't have made the dish flavorless. I don't expect to need eggs for a good chilaquiles plate. The beans and rice were good but nothing to rant or rave about. Green Chile cheese tamale- was good. Very decent portion size. Not the best I've ever had but a regular decent tamale. Just not enough to bring me back for this item. -Location was clean as always with friendly service.

I ordered chilaquiles thru Uber eats, they sent me make to own chips and salsa plate, Also ordered a birria taco, for $65c extra and sent one with barely any meat.

I am still looking for that amazing burrito ( like my hometown San Fran Mission burrito) but Tacos La Morenita is as close as I can find so far. Their Al Pastor burrito was very good. Great blend of meat, rice and cheese in a grilled tortilla. Sure there was a pretty steep upcharge for the meat ...but that is what it is. Good Guacamole...perhaps the best I have had in a long time. Creamy, mixed with salsa crudo and jalapenos. Really flavorful. Great chips. Not your typical flat kind but more puffy and texturally really good Insanely good hot sauce that reminded me of a complex Mole...Just get it! I would definitely come back. Added bonus that they will start serving Alcohol starting December Feliz Navidad and que Bueno!!

Okay, as if this place could get any better! They remodeled, made it larger and more open, and expanded the menu. Drooling! They added Quesa Birria tacos, tamales, enchiladas, tortas, and more! Oh damn, and POZOLE! I have a new bucket list at this place! Come check it out if you haven't. They are completely family owned and the sweetest people! I would eat here daily if I could!

Let's get down to business ...this is the best taco spot in southeast Aurora ! The menu is extensive. The meats from Asada , carnitas , adobada to fish and chorizo is all authentic Mexican food . They have a bar now and just feels like a great taco spot you would find in LA . The staff is great . The owner recently transferred the business to the nephew so it's still in the family and he's done a great job keeping up with place and food . We ordered a ton of tacos , a gordita and a couple of beers while we waited for our to go order and will definitely keep coming back anytime I'm on that side of town , it's just that Good. Check it out and support LOCAL!

A long time coming review for sure! This is my go to, comfort food from my favorite hole in the wall spot! The ladies that work the counter & kitchen are so friendly and efficient. They always greet you with a warm, welcoming smile. And while I love the pleasant service, I do come here for the food! On this day I opted for the birria tacos and they were so delicious. Be careful adding the red sauce as it packs a punch but is extremely flavorful. In general, their tacos are amazing and it has been for years now.

Carnitas breakfast burrito- where's the meat?

Disappointed with the food I ordered. Based on the overall Yelp rating, thought I'd give them a try. Note: Their prices have increased from what's listed on Yelp and their website. They even charged about $2 ($1.95) for a very small side of green sauce, I was shocked to see that when he rung me up! That's the first restaurant I've seen do that. I called in my order in advance for pick up during lunch with my kids. Food was ready when I showed up as stated (20 mins later). We did not enjoy any items: Sausage breakfast burrito - average, nothing special but potatoes didn't taste fully cooked/ warm. Carnitas breakfast burrito - hardly any carnitas meat. Mostly filled with potatoes and egg. Potatoes didn't taste cooked as well. Birria tacos - $14 for 4 dry tacos and very small broth. Not worth it. Meat were dry and no cheese! No flavor. Asada chili cheese fries - $10 for a small to-go box! I was expecting a full size to-go box especially for that price and that's normally the portion size from other restaurants. The potatoes/ fries were cold and the asada meat were burnt and dried. They definitely threw the leftover unwanted meat over the fries. Everything tasted bland. The 4 items totaled $40. Not worth it. Unfortunately I won't return because of this experience. Two stars for the nice greeting, food was ready on-time, and the inside looked clean.

A lot of places popped up, but this Mexican restaurant really stood out -- great reviews and the food pictures looked amazing. It's about 13 minutes from the airport, which made it super convenient. From the outside, it looks small, but once you walk in, it's surprisingly spacious. We were seated immediately, and our server was absolutely phenomenal -- so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. For an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido with chorizo (you can choose corn or flour tortillas). This is one of my favorite dishes to get at any Mexican restaurant if they offer it, and this one did not disappoint. The cheese was perfectly melty and stretchy, and the chorizo had great flavor that paired so well with it. Wrapping that cheesy, savory goodness in a warm tortilla? So good. For my main dish, I ordered the quesabirria -- corn tortillas filled with birria and cheese, fried crispy, and served with consommé for dipping. It was decent, but I will say it didn't have quite as much flavor as I'm used to with quesabirria. Still enjoyable, just could've used a bit more seasoning. The beans were actually delicious and full of flavor, but the rice was a little bland and could've used some salt. Overall, the service was amazing, the restaurant was clean, and even though it was busy, everything came out in a timely manner. The prices were also very reasonable -- definitely not expensive for the quality and portions. I would absolutely come back to try other dishes. With just a little more seasoning in some areas, it would easily be a five-star spot for me!

The small dining area is clean, neat and brightly decorated without the kitchy strings of plastic jalapeno lights, serapes, and touristy sombreros one often encounters in Mexican restaurants. The waitstaff are friendly and helpful. I have been there three times for breakfast/brunch for the chilaquiles and fresh orange juice: I watched the lady run the orange halves through the juicer myself. Fantastic breakfast and fairly priced. This afternoon went for supper and had the carne asada fajitas. The obligatory chips and salsa were first rate. The salsa is made in house; was nice and thick and had a nice smoky flavor. I ate all of it. The fajitas were heaped up on the usual fajita skillet with a quite generous amount of steak cut in narrow thin strips, very tender and flavorful. The pepper slices were also thin and numerous. Best fajitas I can remember in Aurora/Denver in the 25 years I've lived here. No iced tea so I had a Mexican coke in the obligatory medio litre bottle. No room for dessert. I left fat, sassy, and sated. This is my new favorite Mexican place along with Piramides on Havana.
