Our go to place for some good Mexican food! They always welcome us with big smiles and warmth. The staff are very attentive and we just love going there. The environment and ambiance is inviting and they have a nice bar area with TVs for those sports enthusiast. Our usual is the steak fajitas. MmMMM!!! We had the pleasure of meeting Miss Liz. She is warm, inviting and friendly. Her staff resonate her same welcoming warmth. They are very attentive and professional. We had the nicest server, she is really sweet and helpful, she always make sure our drinks are refilled. We came from San Diego where the Mexican food is really good and this place is almost as good. It's not really authentic but they are as good. I love their crispy chili relleno with rice and beans. My wife has the shrimp taco and she loves it but the salsa that came with the taco, she said that the salsa is a bit on a salty side and she use the salsa that go with the chips. My problem is with the dessert the tres leches is too sweet, the milk that they use tasted like condensed milk and not evaporated milk. Still trying to figure out how they got the grill flavor in the shrimp, with the bacon being so crispy... all without overcooking the shrimp. The steak absolutely scratched my itching i had for a good steak that tasted like steak. Happened upon this spot when it was just opening but was excited to try it. The staff were very friendly and gracious. The patio was great and would be ideal for after work drinks. We recently went to eat at El Meson de Liz. As soon as went walked into the door, Liz greeted us with a welcoming smile. All of the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was just as good as the service. The Mexican Street corn was to die for. We judge Mexican restaurants by their Carnitas and given that fact, El Meson would be on the top of our list. We found out that Liz actually lives in our neighborhood and we hope that her restaurant continues to thrive. We will definitely be back. read more
