I'm glad I checked out this place despite the mediocre reviews on Yelp. The service and food were great. We came in at 3 pm, an off time, and ordered: french dip sandwich (didn't try but my husband and son liked it), happy hour fries with shepherd's pie dip (HIGHLY recommend the dip! really unique and delicious), and mussels (tasty and they gave practically a loaf of garlic bread with it). Our experience here was great! The food was absolutely fantastic, we went with a group of 8 and some of the food was just so good. The ribs were so delicious and the sauce was so yummy. Our table had 3 orders of them, 2 half racks and a full rack and all 3 came with two sides which were all good. Our table also got the bangers and mash which was delicious. The two varieties of sausage on top were really good, the mashed potatoes though were surprisingly meh. Fish and chips were good too. Prices were $14+ but the food was totally worth what you pay for and portions were HUGE! We also got bread pudding for dessert and were not disappointed. Overall, if you want a nicer lunch or dinner this is definitely the spot, the food was great and I didn't think was too expensive at all. We came here on St Patrick's Day because we wanted and Irish bar! It was pretty packed inside but they said we could grab a drink and go outside! I had brought extra clothes thinking we would and I was glad I did! It was chilly! They had a good variety of beers on tap! I got Deschutes IPA. I know it wasn't very Irish of me! :) We got fish and chips and Shepards Pie. The fish and chips was excellent! A great portion of fish and fries! The fish was good quality and the breading was really nice! I wasn't impressed with the Shepards Pie. I make it a lot and have had it a ton so there wasn't enough flavor in it for me. The portion size was good for it though and the presentation was good. I don't feel it should be topped with fresh cut tomatoes but that might just be me! We finally got a seat inside after the crowd left and they had a bag piper come and we enjoyed that! They have a good amount of space inside and upstairs deck as well! The food was very tasty. I got the salmon and my husband got the shepherd's pie. The only star deduction was because my daughter got the kids mac & cheese. It said on the menu that on weekends it was for $2 all day. But they charged me $7 plus an adult lemonade $3.29, instead of a kids lemonade. So instead of a few bucks for her food and drink it ended up costing around 10. They need to correct their menu in that instance if they're going to stop giving two dollar kids meals by 2 PM. Perhaps they mean that it is $2 for brunch but that is not what is implied. In fact there's a different kids brunch menu. read more

Last Saturday we stumbled upon this cool spot. We were greeted promptly and a very nice woman with black hair and and Irish accent waited on us. We didn't drink that night, but the beer and whiskey selection was impressive. The food was good and relatively inexpensive for the area. It looks like they have a nice patio rooftop, so we'll certainly return in the summer. If you like that homey, Irish bar vibe, this is the spot. The menu is straight forward and has your bar favorites. The shepherds pie looked great, I'll definitely try it next time. I had some French onion soup, and it was stellar. I had the Dubliner sandwich, and it was good, though I tend to enjoy spicier food, usually! We will be back. read more

Met friends here for dinner on a Saturday night recently. We hadn't been here in years. I am so glad we went. It was cozy and inviting with live music that added to the ambiance. We could talk without screaming and still enjoy the music. The food was very good. I had the vegetable tacos and they were the best veggie tacos I have had. They were stuffed with many different types of veggies with a yummy chipotle sauce. Two at the table got the enchiladas and both gave thumbs up. Not a bite left! The fourth got the bangers and mash and loved it. Service was attentive and answered several questions about the enchiladas being gluten free. They are GF! Good choice of beer and wine and even a hard cider. We will definitely be back. read more

We went for dinner and drinks for the first time at this restaurant. Doug at the bar was beyond fantastic. When I could not decide which of two dishes to order, I asked him for his thoughts. I ordered the seared salmon based on his recommendation and it was delicious. My husband also took his suggestion for the onion soup with the fish and chips and my husband said his meal was great. Not sure why this place is still open? Greeted at the door with, "how can I help you?". The heck? Seat us for dinner?!? Waited 7-10 minutes for a server to say hello and get the process started. VERY mediocre food. I ordered the New York strip special. It came with a salad and "baked" potato. Kitchen staff: I could tell without even taking the first bite that you microwaved the "baked" potato. It was horrible - I did try a bite. The steak was 50% fat and gristle. Didn't bother to try the vegetables as they had no color. The server was kind but not enough to make up for such bad food. Wife had fish and chips - very bland fries and the fish was cooked at the wrong temperature as it was greasy. $70 dinner for two with an appetizer, one beer and a coke is NOT remotely worth the money. I had a very unpleasant experience dining at this Irish bar/restaurant today. I have been to this establishment many times before and have had positive experiences. I came for Sunday brunch around noon and asked to sit in the back room; the room was empty which was fine by me. A short time after I sat down, very loud and very offensive music started coming through the speakers. I left my seat to see if it was being heard in the other rooms and bathroom and it was. It was rap music and was so loud I could not ignore it. There were several lyrics about violence against women and disgusting words. I am not a prude but that is not I want to be forced to listen to an an Irish neighborhood bar during Sunday brunch. The music was so loud that even wearing the headphones that I had with me I could not block it out. I asked the waitress about it and she said she was also upset about it but she did not suggest a solution so I asked to speak to the manager. He was a curt man with a very abrupt manner and told me, "There is nothing I can do." I questioned him about this and he rudely turned away and walked out of the room. (A manager has no control over the type or volume customers are forced to listen to?) About I0 minutes later two couples walked into the room and I could hear they were complaining about the music. Apparently, they had asked to be moved to the back room to escape it. Immediately, the music in the room we were in was turned down, although I could hear it playing in other parts of the restaurant. I told one of the men who had just walked in that I had spoken to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do. The man told me he was an "audio" professional and that what the manager said is not true. I am very offended that the manager did not/would not turn the offensive music down for me, but could for the two couples. This is not the way to treat a loyal patron, who is Irish and will always looking for Irish food and atmosphere. This experience completely ruined my meal yet no compensation was offered. read more

I'm not sure how my waiter didn't notice that my burger was literally RAW before serving it or how it made it out of the kitchen and onto the bun. When you call for a reservation and are told that your table is reserved and then show up and they tell you they not only don't have a table for you they hadn't even written down your reservation. This caused us to have to tell all those in our group our plans for the evening, that was to include drinks, dinner, and trivia were shot. When a business so obviously does not want your business I am glad not to give it to them ever again. Turns out they took our reservation but later left a message saying they don't take reservations. Someone needs to get their story straight. The message was not heard until the next day and the hostess never said anything while we were there about them not taking reservations and she was actually looking in a reservation book they had for it. read more

Since the pandemic started this place has changed. Three years later and things have only got worse. Our latest visit required us to wait 10 min before being greeted by a hostess and sat. After sitting at our table for another 10 min and not getting any wait staff to greet and take an order, we left. The menu used to be full with many options. Now you get 4 entrees to choose from. If you come during early afternoon hours you will only get a brunch menu. They won't serve lunch food. We chose to come the day after St Patrick's day hoping things would be lighter and less crowded. Enjoyable dinner here late in the afternoon before the dinner rush on a Saturday night! We started out with the chips & queso (with meat) - it was pretty good! I had the bangers and mash, my wife had the shepherd's pie and my daughter had the kid's cheeseburgers. All of the entrees were good, hot and had great presentation! We finished off with the brownie sundae, which was also good - although it could have used a bit more brownie in it. I did like that they used a local creamery for the ice cream - Magill's. I came here with my little sister, and really enjoyed it! The exterior is awesome, and I really look forward to drinking on this rooftop patio some day. Because it is cold and COVID, we were seated in their outdoor tent. I loved that they had fire heaters in the tent, because it made it feel so much more warm and cozy. I ordered the salmon and LOVED it! I ate it so quickly. The couscous, the buttery vegetables, the fish itself- all of it made a great dish. My sister ordered a burger and also loved it. I typically would have ordered a wine, but as I was driving a minor I decided to stick to water. I could totally see myself hanging out here on weekends with a book, glass of wine, and some sort of dish. Went with my wife & another couple. The waiter recommended the NY Strip over the Prime Rib., so that was what I ordered. So I ordered the "14 oz Choice NY Strip" medium rare. Wow! What a mistake! Worst steak ever. It was delivered to our table slightly warm, and had an impossible to cut membrane on one whole side. Throughout the steak was the tough "vein", rendering the meat inedible. As we were going from dinner straight to a movie, I did not send the beef back . It was not choice nor was it 14 oz (probably only 10 oz) but that was a moot point. Strangely, the skin-on fries I had were served hot & were delicious. The accompanying steamed veggies were decent as well. The Titan IPA was great, as always. I heard the Prime Rib was pretty good, as was the Bison Meatloaf. My wife had Chicken With Mushrooms which she said was excellent. However, she had to send her Moscow Mule back (made wrong) and got a Mojito that she said was really good. Don't listen to your server here; order your food based on Yelp reviews Updated review: Manager replied back, then called me & made it right by me to "give them another chance to win our business". Aside from the size of L.A. it is pretty much a bonafide Irish pub. The decor, atmosphere, and the smell of stale beer adds to its authenticity. Some may read that as a detractor but I find it adds to the rustic charm of the place. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff and chef knew exactly what to do for me and I was not disappointed.
