We've been to Home Team Deli a few times now and every time has been delicious! I LOVE The Wonderboy (ruben sandwich) and The Big Unit without sprouts (turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, cream cheese), both are really tasty. My husband really likes the Vladdy Sr. (French dip, with the best au jus I've ever tasted!) and The Koufax (hot pastrami on rye). The sandwiches are HUGE! A few times I've ordered a half sandwich and been completely satisfied. I have also really liked the soups I've had. We are a baseball family, so I love that all the names are baseball references. The k my one I think they missed was the Pick Two (half sandwich and cup of soup or salad), I think they should call it The Double Play! Service has been outstanding every time we've been in. They all have been incredibly kind and have gone out of their way to make sure we were pleased with our food. We have always had our food as takeout, but they do have tables you can eat at in the restaurant. All this to say, Home Team Deli is a home run in our book! read more

Food is really good the downvote is around the speed. It took 30 minutes for a #9 with nothing customized. It was 11:15 when I got there so presumably before any lunch rush. While there were a handful of people sitting at tables, the majority of the tables were empty. People are accustomed to a certain pace at places like this. If your brand is not designed around moving fast maybe consider taking a page from Whataburger where they have signs everywhere telling the customer they don't move fast; you will have to wait. Again, food is good. I just don't think it's reasonable to wait 30 minutes for a 5" hot sandwich. read more

Wow, the reviews of this place got us so excited to try something new! The menu looks great, the food sounds good but unfortunately the quality is terrible. We got the following #77 two hot dogs ($16 omg) #63 Koufax pastrami on rye ($15 for lunch meat on a toasted rye bread) #23 The Ryno Italian Beef ($15 for some lunch meat beef on a roll) Order of Green Chili Cheese Fries If you want a side, you're ordering à la carte so be prepared for a $25 price tag for a meal with a drink per person. The food is just lunch meat that's not even as good as the roast beef from Walmart. And no I'm no kidding. The rye bread was the saving grace for this meal and luckily I shared with my family so they could try it too. I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of the food overall but the hubby said the hot dogs were good but $16 for two hot dogs is ridiculous. The green chili fries were shoestring so they can't hold up a green chili cheese topping. Maybe they were out of regular fries. Definitely should be listed in the menu as shoestring. I wouldn't have ordered them. Plus they get cold in about 4 mins. We love to support local restaurants but I have to be honest; the prices are ridiculous and the quality is below average. Plenty of variety in their menu! Lots of sandwiches and hotdogs to choose from! The hot dogs are tasty! The ambiance is pretty okay. It's very baseball themed and there are a few tv's to watch movies and sports. Their fountain drinks are pretty good too. They had three varieties of lemonade when I was there. Love a good Chicago dog. Everything, all the way. Beyond disappointed for an $7.99 dog. When you can see to the bottom of the soggy poppy bun, it's not a Chicago dog. Skimped on toppings every time. It's a cute little spot, but I think it will have the same end as anything else that tries to go into SouthGlenn. The food is so expensive that I wouldn't go back. Worse was that I didn't even know what I was paying until they gave me a total because I didn't see any prices up on the menu board. With that said this gets a 2 instead of a 1 because the #30 sandwich was good. I paid $32 for these 2 Sandwiches! My husband went for the iron man, but traded me for my #30 because mine was good. The iron man had the horseradish sauce all over the outside of the bun also, so it wasn't possible to just wipe it off and enjoy. I was excited to hear they had a Chicago dog on the menu so I arrived at about 11:15 and placed an order for just a hot dog. They had been hit with a big takeout order when they opened so I ended up waiting for over 30 minutes for the hot dog. This is very understandable however I wish that they had warned me before taking my order. Then they skipped over my order when someone who ordered after me got their food first. When I finally got the hot dog, the bun was cold and the hot dog was lukewarm. It was something like $8-9 so I was just super disappointed in the whole experience. I understand they are newly opened but there were just issues with the entire experience which could have been resolved with some warning or an apology (or a steamed hot dog bun!). read more

Went for a late lunch. Slowest service you can imagine. They seemed more focused on making take out orders than serving the customers in the restaurant. Waited 45 minutes for two sandwiches and they screwed up one of them. The Reuben was no better than you get at Subway. Slow, terrible service, and below par food. Just visited the new Southglenn location and everything was exceptional. The guys working then were extremely nice and greeted you the moment you came in. Good atmosphere with plenty of customers. I ordered the #47 Cactus League Chicken Cheesesteak and the #20 Schmidty Cheesesteak. My biggest gripe is the price point, inside the restaurant there are no prices on their sign. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink and it came out to $25. While the portions were not small, I don't think it was worth the price. Just noticed this place. Had the beef today. Beef and gravy is really good. Vienna beef is great if prepped the right way and home team knows how to do it. Could use a Turano french roll for the higher gluten. Can't wait to go back. read more
