Local gem! It is a hard to find location, but worth it. Try anything with the green chili, including a Benedict. They staff was friendly and figured out how to get my kid a banana since he was melting down a bit. A very plain interior with an odd waterfall inside, but you are not here for that. Big, yummy, and unique breakfast and brunch dishes....

A great local family owned diner. A big local breckfast spot with lunch business too. Good american food served here! Pepsi products. Small strip center parking lot but eazy to find.

It's nice to go to a real "home style" cafe. Something that isn't a chain. The food is very good and you can not beat the prices!

Was not aware they had more than one location so it worked for us since we were close to Littleton and didn't want the hassle of downtown traffic. Great old style restaurant with a full bar offering a "Diner" kind of vibe. Staff was very friendly and helpful offering a good sized menu of comfort food style entrees of Burgers, Sandwiches, some Mexican dishes and salads. Reasonably priced menu items and good sized entrees made our lunch perfect. My apologies for not taking any photos of our entrees but we were talking when the food came and very hungry so we all dug in to the deliciousness. I had the burger of the month which was a 1/2 lb burger with crispy wontons, caramelized onions, bacon, arugula, goat cheese and a balsamic peach vinegar. Some of the other entrees were the pulled pork sandwich and a chile relano burger. The fries were crispy and flavorful as well the onion rings with a light batter and cooked to crispy perfection. A great place to stop for a burger and enjoy the old school charm and comfort. I see why it is a local favorite.. Bravissimo Cherry Cricket

Burgers are dry even though we asked for medium. Adding sauce after sauce to the patty (customization galore) isn't the answer because it makes the sandwich too salty yet not solving the dryness of the meat. But I'm glad they opened up a location in the southwest area so one doesn't have to always go to Cherry Creek.

Luckily,…read moreit was just a short walk over and we were immediately greeted by the staff at the front door. The hostess was extremely friendly, very conversational, and we definitely got that Southern hospitality. Our waiter, Ben, was extremely helpful when it came to questions we had and dishes that he would recommend us to try as first timers. We started off with their monthly special of fried okra and it was very delicious especially dipped in their homemade sauce. The okra was lightly battered, fried to perfection, and had a little spicy kick to it for every bite. Both my wife and I went with Ben's recommendation of the Monica-Smothered Catfish and Pork Chops. It was great to know that you could order the lunch portion during dinner hours and we did just that as we weren't too hungry after getting off the plane. The catfish fillets were cooked perfectly and it paired well with the crawfish tail cream sauce. One of the best catfish dishes I have eaten. As for the pork chop, it was grilled perfectly as well and the vegetables were a nice side. Also, one of the best pork chop dishes I have eaten. The creamed potatoes were delicious, but I didn't expect melted butter on top. Since the restaurant was busy for dinner service, there was a hiccup with our toddler's meal and Ben resolved it very quickly. I wished we had room for dessert because the descriptions were definitely mouth watering and Ben did ask us a few times if we wanted to try the beignets as they are a top seller. All in all, we would definitely come back here whenever we're in Colorado to try other dishes as well as the desserts! Service was excellent as our waiter and the other staff made our dining experience very smooth and seamless. They checked in on us in a timely manner and made sure we weren't missing anything. The restaurant was clean and had a good mix of the Colorado outdoor and the Southern/New Orleans decor. The parking lot is a decent size and we always saw it full whenever we left the hotel during lunch and dinner times.

We made a reservation and were seated promptly at a large outdoor table offering both sunny and shaded spots. The setting is lovely, a nicely restored historic building with a Victorian vibe in downtown Littleton. We ordered: * Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($10) - sopressata, shaved parmesan, oregano-infused white balsamic * Chicken Salad Sandwich ($17) - toasted whole wheat, grilled chicken, dried cranberries, tomato, apple, walnut * Short Rib Grilled Cheese ($20) - beef short rib, white cheddar, tomato, horseradish sauce, arugula, caramelized onion, sourdough * (2) Black Forbidden Rice Salmon Bowls ($25) - cabbage slaw, cilantro, avocado, pickled red onion, cilantro vinaigrette Plus three cocktails: two Bees Knees and one Manhattan. Service was excellent and the food was very well executed. The shared Brussels sprouts were a hit. The salmon bowls were flavorful and nicely prepared, as was the chicken salad sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy, and tasty. However, the standout was the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Absolutely fantastic, and definitely what I'll be ordering next time. They are light, fluffy, delicious, sugary with just the right amount of dough. They are best eaten fresh right there, and don't make that rookie mistake by inhaling and coughing into that mound of powdered sugar! We also always get one of their Benedict's. My daughter ordered the Eggs Jennifer with crispy potatoes which goes well with their homemade ketchup. You gotta try it. My dad and I shared the bowl of gumbo. Gotta have some with their homemade hot sauce. Yummy roux. And my husband's fave is the sausage gravy. My fork tends to wander around the table so I feel like it was a very fulfilling meal! Service is always friendly and I love all of the Mardi Gras and N'Orleans decorations. I even recognized the picture of Lafitte's bar, the oldest bar in New Orleans on their wall that's a local legend that used to serve pirates. I would LOVE if Lucile's would take over the open spot on Simms, north of 6th, that used to be Campfire Lakewood. It's the perfect building for Lucile's and their wraparound porch and I could visit all the time! I also love going to their Logan St and Evans and Boulder locations. Can you tell I'm a fan?!

Never fear - you are surrounded by friends and family that want to help. It takes a village for monumental life experiences. Lean into it! Therefore, today the Sausage family dines together at Lucile's after a big morning of moving. We are hongry! We start with a round of beignets. Heavenly delights with mounds of white sugar like Scarface in heaven. Maple Sausage flutters her eyes and exclaims "The dough was fluffy on the inside but crispy on the outside like a good tortoise that's been at the zoo for 100 years and you've come to form a parasocial relationship with. Every time you return, it's there." We've also ordered a round of beverages, as varied in colors as the rainbow on a rainy sunny day. Silly Sausage has ordered the chicory coffee. "Chicory notes. Violin. Fur Elise." Lil Chile Sausage has ordered the fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. "It's magical. Sorcerer's apprentice from Fantasia, for sure. Like when the waters from the well flood, but it's grapefruit juice. I'm drinking the grapefruit juice to stop the flooding." And Cutie Pie Sausage sips on his Bloody Mary. "Top 3 bloody Mary's ever. Other top 2 are in Idaho springs and urban farmer. Pickle spice is awesome. THICK TOMATO!!" Oohhh... Ahh... The flavors are resplendent! But wait... Our entrees are arriving! Maple and I have ordered the red beans and rice. Maple slurps her beans and chews her rice, but breaks to consume her biscuit all in go. "The biscuit was unreal. Rb&r are delicious. Sausage has a little bit of spice, but not an overwhelming amount of spice... Like a jazz band walking down Bourbon Street in my mouth. I can hear 'When the Saints go Marching in...'" Lil Chile has ordered the blackened salmon plate. While speaking to his fish and asking for blessing to consume it's flesh, he remarks "Wow! I'm properly full. Nice notes of spicy and Louisiany. I feel like Shia Labeouf - I'm ready to rage! I'm ready to choke someone out." Silly has ordered the blackened salmon po boy. As she wraps up eating her meal, the voice of The Spirit of Food speaks through her, "It tasted like Mardi gras. I was getting the beads... You know what I was doing to get the beads" And finally, Cutie Pie has ordered the Biscuits and sausage and gravy. He leans back in his chair, full as can be. "It was overly indulgent, but I'm highly satisfied. I feel like a hippo, not a violent hippo, that needs to sleep." Life is so short and community feels out of reach. The world is in flames and we stare into our phones to obsess over humanity's self-hatred. BUT when we take moments to help each other, our neighbors, our family, our friends, hope is actively restored to the world and love is a contagious disease that you are coughing on your peers. COUGH COUGH! The spirit of community lives in Lucile's. Our belly's and hearts are full, yet we are light as a feather. Our experience here will DEFINITELY be coming back to the bedroom. Thank you, Lucky's!
