We went for breakfast and the food was amazing. Right down to the coffee. It was very smooth and not bitter like several restaurants serve. I had the classic breakfast plus added a pancake. The eggs were cooked to order. The hash browns seemed homemade and had a hint of onion? But no onions in them. Quite tasty. The bacon was very flavorful with just the right amount of crispness. The pancake was delicious. Just the right amount of fluff and not heavy at all. My husband had biscuits and gravy. Also very flavorful. He would've preferred a bit more sausage but he always wants extra sausage on everything! The service was top notch and they were very well staffed. We will definitely be back. WOW! Just.. WOW! Okay, I know you need a little more to go on than just that. My wife and I happened upon this place after driving around looking for a restaurant and remembering seeing this place whenever we go to Bowles Cafe. It was a pleasant surprise walking in and seeing a nicer interior than the metal building might suggest. I had anticipated a bar, with hamburgers and ribs and a seat-yourself at picnic tables kind of atmosphere. But we were seated by a hostess and picked a hightop in the main seating area. Looking at the menu, there was a great variety in choices. Comfort food, burgers, ribs and Italian. I opted for the chicken parmesan and my wife took a chance on the ribs. After the first bite we could tell it wasn't going to be bar food. My chicken breast was as big as a large hand with fingers spread. The meal portions are generous. I finished a third of my meal and took the rest to go. My wife's ribs were a half-slab that looked like a full-slab. Now, my wife is picky when it comes to food because she's a great cook and knows the potential food has for tasting good. She started raving about the ribs at the table and continued to sing their praises on our drive home. I've never heard such a reaction from her after visiting a restaurant. After we finished what we wanted and boxed the rest, we ordered the carrot cake. It was bakery fresh and heavenly! My first impression of this place is it has an identiy crisis. From the outside it looks like a beer and rib joint, Inside it feels like a welcoming, casual brewery but with a fully stocked bar. It has covered and open outside seating from the front and along the side. (There's a cozy area at the end of that outside seating that I eyed for next time we visit.) And when you start enjoying the food it seems like you've landed in a fine dining establishment. Whatever you are looking for in a restaraunt, other than white table cloths and stuffiness, you'll find it at Bruno's. And if you leave hungry, it's your own darn fault. read more

We have been back to Bruno's and it is okay. The food is good - the green chile is really good - but it's incredibly expensive for what it is. $50 for a cheeseburger, a cup of green chile ($8 for a very small serving) and a French dip. No appetizers, cocktails or dessert. By comparison, Tavern 242 up the hill has huge portions, a better atmosphere and a burger, Buffalo chicken wrap, cocktail and a draft beer was $57. Come to Bruno's Kitchen if you ENJOY GETTING RIPPED OFF! I've ordered the Prime Rib here 3 times. The first 2 times my serving came with a giant (probably 3 in. x 3 in.) hunk of fat. Sorry I don't have a disgusting picture to share. I complained to the manager asking if she would want to have a piece of prime rib presented to her like that, much less eat it. She said "No" apologized and brought me a bit more. But the 2nd time we went they did it again. So I complained, AGAIN! Manager she told me, you have to specify that you don't want it served with big chunks of fat and they'll trim it (which is bull-shit). So this last time, I did just that and here's what they served me: a $28.00 "12oz" prime rib that is the skinniest piece of meat I've ever seen. Again, I should have taken a photo right away; half the steak was even thinner because they cut it on an angle to paper thin on the end. I shared my experience with the ladies sitting next to me and they said they've had similar experiences. They have to send back food often because it isn't cut or prepared right. My wife and I stopped by Bruno's Kitchen after a long afternoon of last-minute Christmas shopping, and we were pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in, the experience was welcoming. There are plenty of TVs around if you want to catch a game. The hostess seated us right away and was genuinely friendly, especially after learning it was our first time there. We started with espresso martinis, which were surprisingly good--so good, in fact, that we ended up ordering a second round. Definitely a strong start. For an appetizer, we went with the Gravy Fries. Nothing fancy here--just hot, fresh fries covered in brown gravy--but sometimes simple done right really hits the spot, and these absolutely did. For entrées, my wife ordered the crab cakes with a wedge salad (which she loves), and I went with the Green Chili Burger and fries. Both dishes delivered. My wife really enjoyed the flavor of the crab cakes and was happy to see a solid wedge salad option on the menu. My burger was excellent, and the green chili had a legit kick--which I truly appreciate. There's nothing worse than something being advertised as spicy and then falling completely flat, and that was definitely not the case here. Overall, we had a great time and left happy. While it didn't quite cross into "blow-your-mind" territory, everything was done well, the service was friendly, and the food was solid across the board. A later breakfast at a busy restaurant, with prompt service to seat. Two orders were given to the wait staff, one for the sausage and scrambled eggs, toast and black coffee. The second order was for French toast. The orders came quickly. However, the French toast was one slice of bread cut in half and appeared to be deep fried and burnt on the cut edges, and was also extremely greasy. I spoke to the wait staff and was told they would do a second serving of the French toast and send it to go. It was burnt as well on both slices on one side completrly. For the costs, I was expecting at least 4 slices of grilled French toast lightly browned. When the tab came, I noticed there was a charge for the rye toast which should have been included in the meal combo price. I have eaten at Brunos many times before with top notch prepared meals. If I return for breakfast meals, I will order differently, and ask if they are charging for the toast. read more

Stopped in for a bite Saturday night. We got there around 5:30 and it was definitely bustling! The host and hostess took our number and we waited and had a beer while doing so. It was a hazy IPA which was great but with the popularity of IPA's they should have another on tap as well. My only issue is they should expand their waiting area out front to include the ability to have a beer while waiting. Our Prime ribs came and were very tasty. Our visit was less that two weeks since the restaurant opened. The place is wide open and has a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. We were greeted and seated immediately.
