The green chili relleno added such a great Colorado twist, and getting it cooked medium was perfect. The tater tots were crispy, hot, and the perfect side. The servers were super friendly and attentive, and the whole place had such a fun, laid-back vibe. It's the kind of spot where you can come hungry, have a great meal, and just enjoy the atmosphere.

Burgers are dry even though we asked for medium. Adding sauce after sauce to the patty (customization galore) isn't the answer because it makes the sandwich too salty yet not solving the dryness of the meat. But I'm glad they opened up a location in the southwest area so one doesn't have to always go to Cherry Creek.

I ordered: Classic Burger - Double patty, American cheese, pickles, onion, ketchup, mustard. A textbook smashburger with crispy edges, juicy patties, and a soft, pillowy bun. Tallow Fries - Golden, crispy, and indulgent. Like fries got promoted to main character energy. It was honestly the exact meal I needed -- no notes. I left full, happy, and ready for a nap (which I 100% took when I got home). If you're in the area, hitting both C Burger and Sanitas Brewing Co. is the move. Can't wait to go back.

We finally needed their help so they reluctantly came over to help us. I put in my order and couldn't believe the price but figured it's gotta be good. Our food I could see was ready so I went up there and it was just sitting there on the counter, waiting for somebody to pick it up, but never was told to come get it. First bite of the burger was cold, I don't know how that could happen when They just made it. The cheese wasn't even melted. I'm guessing that they pre-cook the burgers and then maybe just heat them back up. It was very dry. The fries were such a big disappointment couple squirts of sour cream and maybe one slice of cheese which I paid over $10 for. I had to interact with the person one more time and again they were just snarky. Everything about the places, uncomfortable from the seats to the employee.

I'm no stranger to dive bars, but the rest of my family was not very comfortable. So I'd say this is not a family-friendly establishment. Service was unreasonably slow for how unbusy they were. And I don't need to describe ambiance further because dive bars are dive bars. The food itself was supremely disappointing. People rave about these burgers? I feel incredibly lied to. They were pretty bad. I can taste when meat is low quality, and this is it. It's like finding the lowest quality frozen ground beef patties on manager special at Walmart. You're not going to get sick from it, but you're also not going to have the best meal. It just blows my mind that anyone would call these burgers good. Especially when there are plenty of decent burger places in Denver.

Now. Alaskan cuisine was a new one for me, but I was excited to try. We started our journey with some huckleberry old fashioneds. I love huckleberry and will always get it if available and this did not lead me astray. We started with crab dip which was a hit even with our baby. For the mains, my husband got the meatloaf platter and was obsessed. I had their specialty burger (a mix of beef and elk) that included arugula, goat cheese, jam and some onions - also top notch. To finish things off we got chocolate raspberry cheesecake and... Wow. Delectable. If it's not obvious, the food here is epic and I love the concept and theme. Will happily return next time we're in the area. That cheesecake though....

My son had the barbecue wings and they were very good. They had been smoked instead of just thrown in the fryer which was a nice touch. The blue cheese chips were really good as were the fish and chips. We had it with cod. I added the mini blue cheese chips, and they were the surprise of the meal. Crispy house-cut chips came piled high with blue cheese crumbles, a creamy sauce, a sweet dark glaze, and fresh green onions. Every bite had crunch, tang, and a little sweetness. I'd come back for those alone. I was glad to see Athletic non-alcoholic beer on the menu. It was cold and crisp, served in a mason jar, and went perfectly with the burger. It's great when a place takes N/A drinkers seriously. Service from Malea was friendly and attentive, and lunch came to just over $31 before tip, which is fair for a filling, quality meal. The specials board had an Oktoberfest elk burger I'm already planning to come back for. Highly recommend for a relaxed lunch, good food, and a place that feels like a local hangout.

The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, and we requested outdoor seating. The hostess was very accommodating, quickly putting two tables together so we could sit outside in the shade on a beautiful Denver evening. The Alaska-inspired menu is fairly limited, but several items sounded appealing, especially the Elk Meatloaf. Our order included: * Bethel Brussels Sprouts ($12) * Elk River Meatloaf ($24) * Seward Caesar with chicken ($15) * Kids Fish & Chips ($9) Let's start with the positives. Service was very good throughout the meal, and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. The Brussels sprouts were a hit with the table -- flavorful and well prepared. The fries served with the fish & chips were hot, crispy. And the dinners were all generously portioned. Unfortunately, the rest of the food ranged from mediocre to disappointing. We were especially looking forward to the elk meatloaf, but both orders arrived extremely dry. The mashed potatoes and gravy were actually quite good, but they couldn't overcome the texture of the meatloaf itself. At least half of each serving was left uneaten. We substituted mixed vegetables for the green beans and found them undercooked, with the carrots still quite hard. The Caesar salad also disappointed, with wilted lettuce, and the fish in the fish & chips was described as bland. The patio itself is pleasant, but it sits directly beside a busy road, so traffic noise can be significant at times. Perhaps we simply ordered the wrong dishes, but given our experience, we were surprised by the restaurant's very high Yelp rating.
