Went out for dinner on a Friday night with a party for four, with some old friends. Our server Jackson was personable, friendly, and attentive throughout service. I ordered the lamb and my wife had the short rib. Both were cooked well, served hot, but the risotto and the lamb were a total salt lick. Came here for a bday brunch and the food did not disappoint! I had the barbacoa Benedict and it's one of the best Benedicts I've had in a while! The barbacoa was tender and juicy while the hollandaise was creamy and had the perfect saltiness, I do wish they added a bit more since one piece had more than the other. The potatoes were great, they were crispy and salty! We also had cocktails and they were great! Cheap for brunch and pretty boozy. They also have a pretty basic beer selection but I highly recommend their cocktails. Service was just mediocre, it wasn't a busy day but it felt like our server didn't want to be there. We were just here for restaurant week and had a fantastic time. We had a reservation and were seated right away in a spacious booth. The service was impeccable. There was always someone checking in on us, refilling drinks, and clearing away dirty plates between courses. I had the crispy artichoke, short rib, and carrot cake along with a glass of wine. Everything was excellent and come out quickly and fresh. I was particularly obsessed with the artichoke because it's something I love and have never had prepared in that manner. UPDATE! I've been here twice within the past two months and the obsession is real. Breakfast, lunch or dinner - the menu slays, but the most superior item on the menu is the chicken salad sandwich. The bread is thick cut and crunchy, the chicken salad is the perfect balance of ingredients to sauce and the arugula makes for a peppery finish. Add a side of house made chips on the side and you've got yourself the perfect lunch. You can make a reservation online; service is great and welcoming, and prices are decent. Café Terracotta is cute vibe when you have brunch on the brain. I went here a couple of months ago and sat outside with my boyfriend. Service was a little slow but they did make sure our food wasn't cold. I ended up getting scrambled eggs with hash browns with a side of sausage gravy. Cafe Terracotta is special. The menu isn't huge but it's well thought out and food has been consistently delicious. I usually stop by a couple of times a year for brunch/lunch, and when it's nice out I always try to grab a seat on their porch or in their cute garden patio. Service has always been fantastic -- not too rushed. It's one of those special places that's perfect for a relaxed weekend treat--or a weekday lunch with friends. I met a friend here for lunch this summer. She recommended it, and I was a little early so went in and had a cup of coffee at the counter. The guy waiting on me was so friendly. When I asked about the menu, about the barbacoa, he gave me a taste. Later, when my friend arrived, we sat out on the front porch. I ordered huevos rancheros with barbacoa and she had a salad. My meal was very good but so large it could have fed at least two people. My friend's salad looked delicious (as did so many things on the menu.) I'm looking forward to coming back. TIP: I was unfamiliar with the area, so was a little surprised when my phone guided me through a residential section of town. Cafe Terracotta is located in downtown Littleton in a historic Victorian house. Their menu is classic American fare elevated in a unique way. Dinner is served every night every night 4:30pm to 9pm. I highly recommend the Falafel, Brussels Sprout Caesar Salad, Scallops, & Carrot Cake. Our server Monica and Chef Miles took fabulous care of us - our dinner was fantastic, and service was lovely & attentive all around. The space was intimate & warm - reservations highly recommended. We started the meal with two mocktails - both were great. The House mocktail was made with seedlip botanic infusion, honey syrup, lime, and hibiscus ginger. The Falafel was made with celery root hummus, grilled pita, compressed cucumber, tzatziki, & aleppo oil. The Falafel blew us away and we can see why it's a favorite at Care Terracotta. The perfectly golden-brown falafel was crisp on the outside & soft inside, bursting with savory chickpea flavor. The hummus & tzatziki added a creamy balance to the dish while the cucumber added a fabulous snap & zing of briny flavor. The Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad was made with shredded brussels & romaine, grated parmesan, crispy brussels leaves, dried cranberries, & Caesar dressing. This salad had a fantastic mix of textures (and the flavors were equally exciting) - I loved the the crispiness of the Brussels sprouts against the sweet chew of the dried cranberries. The Burrata was made with grilled sourdough, frisee, & balsamic tomato jam. The burrata was milky & smooth on the crisp, chewy bread. The Scallops were perfectly cooked & served with braised cannellini beans, house-smoked bacon, swiss chard, & parsley. The scallops were tender and had good bounce with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The bacon added a hint of smokey sweetness to each bite. The Parisian Gnocchi was made with Italian sausage, Tuscan kale, lemon zest, & grated parmesan. This dish was rich & indulgent. The gnocchi were velvety & the sausage added a savory flavor with a hint of spice. The parmesan added a sharp salty & nutty flavor. The 10oz New York Strip was served with crispy beef tallow potatoes, buttered haricot verts, and cognac & peppercorn steak sauce. This was a nice robust piece of meat. For dessert, Carrot Cake (& this is the best carrot cake I've had in Colorado!). The sweetness & warm spices of the cake blended perfectly with the cool cream cheese frosting. Visited Cafe Terracotta recently for the first time. It's a super cute location in downtown Littleton. I loved the inside and outside seating options. You feel like you're in Europe when you sit outside. It has a beautiful garden feel! Food was great. Things were seasoned well and tasty. I can't give it a 5/5 in terms of food because I've had better dishes, but it's definitely a solid 4/5. In terms of service, our waiter was a little quirky and tried to guess our order. We like to take the Platt trail from Denver to this cute place on the weekends in the summer. The outdoor seating has been renovated into cute little private cabanas which makes it the best place to brunch as long as you don't get carried away and forget others may want to use your seats! I felt bad last visit because we did just that.... We were so comfortable that I feel we overstayed our welcome a touch when I saw all those waiting for a turn. After multiple visits, a few for brunch, and another few for dinner) over the last few years, I can up this to 5 stars - the food is consistently delicious and well prepared. The service is pretty consistently good - though it sometimes feels a little slow, it's fast enough to let you meet the 2-hour street parking time limit, even with appetizers and dessert. And having their own parking lot, however small, is a plus for any popular Colorado neighborhood. Most recently, my husband got the braised short rib, which was as tender and delicious as it was when I got it about 1.5yrs ago. Our friends got the arctic char (she loved it and I was ALMOST jealous) and the prime rib (he loved this as well and it had that typical smoked crust encasing it so it did not look like your typical prime rib). I was having difficulty deciding between a few dishes and our server (in so sorry I don't recall his name) immediately recommended the dirty risotto, which was FABULOUS and immediately took me to NOLA on the first bite. We started with the calamari, which frankly I thought was average, and the gouda butternut squash dip, which I thought was lovely. And finished with "chocolate pudding," which was only a mistake in that I should have stopped eating with about 3 bites left of my risotto. We will happily continue to return. read more

This place is amazing!!! The chef really knows every pallet. When he says spicy according to my husband, he means it. I had a side salad with steak on it and the steak was cooked to perfection. The only improvement I have is the wines by the glass selection could be improved. The Cabernet was a little alcohol forward I'm a little more picky about my wine so take that note. They also have quite a following with locals. I need to come here more often than I do. Last minute stop while on 470 headed to the mountains. Looked good on yelp and didn't disappoint. Food was great. I had the braised beef short ribs and it was great. Portion was just generous enough that I walked away happy and the quality of the food was perfect for the modest bill. Would definitely recommend. One thing to be aware of, they clearly like folks with reservations. We walked in at 5:15pm and there were 6 people seated and they were "unsure" if they'd be able to seat us without a reservation. Wow, what a great place for brunch! We chose to go here for my breakfast brunch and I was very happy with the choice! We made a reservation for 1030am on a Saturday out on the patio. They have a ton of outdoor seating and it is very spaced out which is nice to not feel over cramped or crowded. We started with a Bloody mary and the pomegranate mimosa which were both good! We then got the cinnamon roll, yum!! For our entrees, we ordered the Barbacoa poblano omelette and the smoked prime rib Benedict, both with potatoes. They were both truly delicious! This was probably one of if not the best omelette I've ever had, everything was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and balanced! We also had the sweetest server who was highly attentive and enjoyable. Loved coming here on Christmas Eve with friends and enjoying the prie fixe menu of the night. We got here early and started with cocktails at the bar, waiting for another group to leave. They never did, so we agreed to be cozy in one of the booths. Service is fantastic. Everyone's spirit felt festive, and it's clearly a successful team effort at Cafe Terracotta. I got the Stuffed Acorn Squash, Colorado Rack of Lamb, and Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. Forgot to take a picture of the Manhattan Clam Chowder. Most memorable dish was the squash, followed by the lamb. Wasn't a fan of the white bean salad that came with the meat, but fortunately I had a very delicious and dirty martini to wash it down. Overall I'm glad to have experienced this restaurant and felt charmed by the atmosphere. You're totally walking into this place as if you're strolling through a village first, past everyone else having dinner in their bubbles. Super cute. The staff and wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's an old house which is small. When it's crowded, it can be very noisy. Hard to hear for conversations. The menu needs to be revised. When walking into the dining room you are hit with this aweful smell. Because the dining room is so small the kitchen is just right there. They are cooking Brussels sprouts! I understand a lot of folks like these, but a lot of us are offended by the taste let alone the terrible pungent smell. It pretty well ruined our lunch. The food was decent. It's a bit pricey. $20 salads. $16-20 sandwiches. Service was a bit slow due to being crowded. Drinks were not refilled without asking. It was better months a go. Menu should be changed. read more

Edit: my review still represents my experience at the time but it's important to note that the manager reached out to me to discuss what happened and did everything he could to make it right. To that point, management definitely cares about their guests. Well...that was awkward. so the scenario is this, we had a siblings dinner out at good old Cafe Terracotta. gift cards were involved, as well as different socio-economic situations from different family members. Our waiter was obviously experienced and knowledgeable but for some reason he kept throwing shade at different members of our party. I think it was in the spirit of charm or a style of service but it wasn't for us as we just felt attacked, insulted, or condescended to. There was one instance where we ordered a single serving of potatoes and he just kept at us that we should get another one. We declined several times and he walked off mumbling. He also mocked (mimicked) my wife, again, probably in what he thought was in jovial fun. We didn't see it as such. Then came the bill. I have never seen such a messed up situation in my life. We had gift cards and just wanted them applied to to the bill and we would just pay the rest from a single credit card, no big deal, I imagine. I asked, several times, for just a single bill and we would settle up amongst ourselves. He didn't do that, instead he "anticipated" our needs and spilt up the check. Several people in our party couldn't afford even their portion, which was fine as I was just going to pay the bill and I would settle up later with Venmo from people in our party who could pay. Either way, I wanted a single bill and asked several times and he couldn't, or wouldn't, do it. What resulted was my sister being charged an amount, that she was not financially able to cover, which the server then proceeded to argue with her over in front of all of us resulting in a mortifying experience for her. Again, she was just invited and the financial responsibility should have been just on me to avoid embarrassing situations like that. We all thought that if he simply squared away what the bill should look like before hand, this extremely awkward encounter would never have happened. IF we dine at Cafe Terracotta again, we will be sure to communicate to the server what we would like to do before hand (which is what most restaurants and servers do with large parties, as has been my experience). I could excuse the bill snafu but the side comments and apparent rudeness were beyond the pale of what we have come to expect at this particular restaurant. It's unfortunate. read more
