Definitely a solid breakfast spot in the highlands ranch nook of Littleton. We attempted to go on a Saturday morning after a long trail hike. Ready and hungry, we were sat immediately by the busy crew and the entire place was bustling! But surprisingly highly organized and not chaotic at all. We loved the coziness of the decor. We were sat by a window and I would personally request a window seat any time because it's out of the way. So it worked out in our favor. Quick service, great menu options and something for everyone. The dishes were well thought out, fresh, simple, and their toast is to die for. I love a seeded hearty toast covered in butter and that's what you can find here. Plus they give you a tin of jam which was also amazing. Warning is that if you're lactose intolerant, their cheese topped dishes have A LOT of cheese. I'm not, but even I took off a third of the cheese. It was way too much for me (a cheese lover). We attended a Yelp event years ago and learned so much about the small details that go into the menu, their choice of ingredients and who and how they partner with folks. We've been fans ever since. We stopped in today, were seated immediately and ordered. Yummy plates have always been on the menu. Today, for me, it was the Frittata Rustica with a Watermelon Wakeup. Omelettes are always a hit for me, and adding mushrooms, onions and tomatoes in a classic Italian style was perfect. Add cheese and some ciabatta bread? I'm sold. Our server was great, despite also being super busy. We didn't need much overall and she made sure to check in often. What was new today that made the whole check out amazing was getting the bill with a handy barcode. Pay at your table, in less than 5 minutes flat and walk out. So nice! read more

Waffles fine, pancakes fine, juices are solid - that's about it, everything else is just "okay". Not exactly a well rounded and fleshed out breakfast experience. I've been living here 6+ years and every time I get First Watch (Why do I keep going back you ask? Well, because it's Highlands Ranch - and it's not exactly Napa valley out here) I'm quickly reminded of the horrendous potatoes. Flavorless, undercooked, starchy, disappointing little cubes of utter sadness. Today I seemed to have forgotten about it for a brief moment, because I made the mistake of ordering the market hash. Yep. Potatoes and onions were practically crunchy and borderline raw. Glad to see they're at least staying consistent. Felt like I had allowed my niece to cook me breakfast for the day. I prepare the ingredients, and my 5 year old niece cooks them in her Easy Bake oven. Yummy! Oh, and as I'm typing this, my wife just found a hair in hers as well. Hooray! If you're in Highlands Ranch, save yourself the trouble for a mediocre experience and go to Hashtag, The Egg, or even brave the crowds for Snooze instead. Far better spots. read more

This mid-morning came in to meet a friend after the morning rush. We were seated after a 5 minute wait. The waitstaff: younger male with a man-bun was extremely RUDE. Our table ordered 3 juice drink and a meal to go since the other 2 were not eating. The server brought the drinks and roughly placed them on the table and then threw the straws onto the table. Because this was a business meeting we stayed; but each member in the party looked at each other and were in amazement at how RUDE the sever was to our table! We will not ever go back to this location and any other First Watch locations if this is the culture of the servers at First Watch! Just because people are having drinks, does not mean you won't get a good tip! read more

First watch in highlands ranch is one of my favorites. The service is almost always outstanding with friendly staff that genuinely cares about your experience. I have had many different dishes at this restaurant and everyone of them has been great in its own way! First watch has a very nice energy with cute decorations and lighting. This continues to be one of my favorite breakfast places and I would recommend to anyone looking for a yummy breakfast. This location does get pretty busy during peak hours but they have a great online que that you can join from home so you do not have to wait at the restaurant (as there is not much waiting room inside). First watch also has a seasonal menu that changes from time to time during the year that includes food and drinks which is a nice touch on top of their regular menu. I found First Watch, which was just around the corner from 9round where I had worked out. I stopped by around 9am. The place was busy but not packed quite yet. I felt like I lucked out with timing, because as soon as I sat down the place started to fill up. Customer service was great. My server was friendly, and the food came out in a timely manner. This was perfect for me, because I had an appointment to get to so my intent was to be in and out. I ordered the cinnamon toast milk cocktail, and it was exactly how it sounded. The wonderfully best part of eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch is drinking up the leftover milk. The cocktail didn't taste boozy at all, but I realized after that I felt a nice warmth after drinking it. I ordered the breakfast tacos, which were delicious. It was loaded with protein (eggs, chicken breast, AND chorizo), and it was pretty flavorful even without the spot checks of Cholula hot sauce. It defaults to a side of black beans, but I opted to get the spring salad instead. I was highly satisfied with my overall experience. read more

This review is for the Highlands Ranch location. Requested outside seating as we had our dog with us. Told wait for a table would be 15 mins as two women had finished and paid their bill. These women after 20 mins were not leaving. We were seated and ordered. We had not even eaten half of our meal when our server dropped the bill on the table and told us how we could pay it. We had not asked for the bill. The message seemed to be, eat fast, pay and leave. Meanwhile the two women had still not left. I spoke to the cashier and was told that servers were trained to give the bill while we were eating . I questioned this as the woman at the next table who we were talking to had finished her meal and then given the bill. We live in Arvada and had always had positive experiences at that location. read more

But we were very happy with the results. I'm not sure the reviews I read were for this restaurant. First of all, the wait was short, the people were friendly and easy to deal with. Our waitress was Ashlee, and she did an excellent job of taking care of everything we needed. The place is nicely appointed and clean. Yes, there was chatter, but it was not noisy. Amazing breakfast experience. Though I love breakfast food, I don't go out for it nearly enough so maybe I'm not the best critic, but everything was exceptionally good to me. I had to share a order seasonal gingerbread spiced donut holes with my pal, and they were divine! Then I just had The Traditional, but the potatoes were cooked perfectly, the chicken sausage was delicious, and the artisan toast was hearty and filling. I actually could only eat 1/2 the plate, which is a good thing since that would be an appropriate serving for a person of my gender, age and size but then add on a few donut holes and that tipped the balance of a "healthy" serving. ;) Waitress was very good and friendly. Came here for a late brunch on a Sunday. They have a online check in, which I put our names down on but it was still a modest wait after coming in. Nothing crazy though. After getting seated, we had our drink orders taken rather quickly. I ordered the bloody Mary which was very good. It came with a piece of bacon which was delicious. Unfortunately, service was very slow afterwards. Waitress seemed to disappear for several minutes at a time before coming back. Not sure if this is related to a staff shortage. It seemed like all the tables around us were getting their food except us. When it finally arrived, it was hot and fresh and very good. The food here is excellent. I visited First Watch a few times when I lived in AZ, and I always thought it was just okay, but this location is pretty great! My husband and I came for brunch, and even though it was busy, we only waited about 15 minutes. They also have a "community table" you can sit down with others if you don't want to wait. Maybe it's location-specific, but they have brunch cocktails available, and I never noticed that when I went to other First Watch locations. The kale tonic is delicious, and you can get it spiked. My husband and I got mimosas and coffee. The coffee isn't my favorite, but their Project Sunrise thing is cool. My husband ordered the Market Hash, and I wasn't turned on by the menu description, but it was actually really, really tasty. I got the Trifecta. Eggs and sausage okay, but the waffle I got? Amazing. It was super light and crispy, almost funnel cakey or pizelle-like. Best waffle ever, AND they give you warm syrup. After cocktails, coffee, and food, it seemed a little pricey, so the next time we went, my husband and I shared; we still had plenty to eat. The service was fast and friendly. Where have I been?!?! First Watch Highlands Ranch is amazing, Great food, great service! My friend and I went for brunch on a Saturday, it was BUSY, but staff handled the crowd beautifully!! The kitchen was behind, but the server checked in and kept us informed the entire time, we even got an extra glass of juice and some candied bacon while we waited! The juice is fresh and amazing! I ordered the new watermelon and my friend ordered the kale tonic, equally amazing! For our entrées I ordered the 2 for you, which included 1/2 market veggie sandwich on multigrain bread and a small chicken avocado chopped salad....amazing!!! My friend ordered a veggie omelette with salad greens dressed with lemon dressing and some multigrain toast and jam. I can't wait to go back and try something else... They have gluten free toast, a dairy free chia seed coconut milk pudding bowl that is to die for and all of their power bowls are very easily customizable and yummy!!
