Always a fun and upbeat place for brunch, especially if you wanna make it a boozy brunch. Every time we've visited the service has been great. Although busy, we've never had to wait for a table. And the food always comes out fast, both fresh and hot. And that's what we like about this place, everything that's served here is colorful and vibrant with a mix of colors and flavors on your plate. I'd give this place more of a 3.5, but I rounded up to 4 because the service was great (I didn't catch his name, I'm sorry!). We got there around 2:15 pm and they close at 3, so I did feel a little bad, but I'm pregnant and was hungry and knew we'd be quick. I've been here once before and it was phenomenal, so I was really excited to come back. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed this time. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the waffle was honestly the hardest I've ever had. I was so hungry that I just forced myself to eat it instead of sending it back. Later we found out they make a big batch of waffles at the beginning of the day, which explains why it was so stale by mid-afternoon. Pro tip for customers: order the chicken and waffles well before noon. Pro tip for the restaurant: maybe make a fresh batch in the afternoon? The chicken also wasn't great... it was thin and a bit burnt. I also realized after biting into it that it was dark meat (thigh) instead of chicken breast. I really wish that was specified on the menu because I would've ordered something else. I'm picky with my chicken, so that was a miss for me. That said, the service really was great, and I appreciated how accommodating he was, especially with us coming in 45 minutes before closing. And I have to give credit where it's due... the buttermilk pancake was FIREEEE. A small one is definitely big enough to share if you're also getting an entrée. read more

We went here for breakfast at 8:30am on a Saturday and it filled in quite quickly! I've got to imagine it's bumping with a wait a bit later in the morning. We ordered the pork hash and the denver omelette and were both very satisfied! Having pork shoulder in a breakfast dish was a nice surprise, and the ingredients in the omelette were charred perfectly and the addition of green chili and roasted red peppers was awesome! We were a group of 6, arrived at 12:15p on a Sunday and got seated right away. The bloody Maria was delicious. I wanted to try the NY Hash Deli but they were out of the pastrami. Instead, I ordered the pork hash with over easy eggs. It was very filling and savory, I really liked the cabbage salad on top for a nice crunch. The first one, the yolk was bordering over hard unfortunately. The second one, the yolk was over medium and the albumen was undercooked as well. Having tried one of the original HashTAG locations, I was happy to see the chain make it to the southern part of the metro area. My Sweetheart and I are fans of the Troy Guard restaurants and HashTAG is no exception. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fun. The staff are friendly and always willing to offer up suggestions if you're having trouble deciding amongst the various options. Beware....the pancakes are ginormous. The large we were told comes in a pizza box.....the small is more than enough for an individual. On our last trip I had the Tijuana Benedict....simply delicious with the adobo pork shoulder and chipotle hollandaise. You simply can't go wrong with anything you might choose! read more

Despite that, I was seated at tiny table for two (I was by myself) against the window to a patio area and a table for four with three people sitting there. It felt like I was literally sitting at their table. It was awkward...however I should have asked for another table, that's on me. Then my server came over with a glass and bottle of water. The glass was dirty! I asked for a clean one...I did not see much on the menu that appealed to me and had trouble choosing something. I ended up ordering the Wake & Bake skillet switching up the cheese. I received the order surprisingly super quickly and it was not at all warm - the brussels sprouts were cold, and the shredded cheese wasn't melted. My server, Luke, took it back and brought it back warmed up. What a fun place for brunch! The atmosphere was bright and friendly and staff seemed to enjoy working there. Even though tables were full the place didn't seem crowded. Nice seating areas and large booths. If love breakfast food they have it all. A wide range of eggs, scrambled and Benedict, or if you want something sweet they have large cinnamon rolls served with lots of butter and pancakes with fruit and nuts. We have a carafe of Prosecco with two sides of juice to make our own mimosas. We had a great time and the service was fabulous.
