Today, Toastique Highlands Ranch didn't disappoint. After a strenuous workout at the nearby gym, we were ready for a nice healthy meal. We could have gone to a diner type place but we wanted something a bit lighter than most breakfast places offer. Upon searching, we realized that a location of Toastique in Highlands Ranch was nearby (only a few minutes drive.) Let's go!! I've been to the Centennial location of Toastique so this place was already familiar to me. And yet, different locations can differ greatly from time to time. Like I said, this location didn't disappoint me a bit. What I got today was the Smoked Salmon Toast with three different add-ons (egg (you can choose between poached or hard-boiled), tomato and avocado.) And to go along with it, I ordered a doppio over ice with a side half and half (my daughter ordered some smoothie and an overnight oats.) Everything tasted fresh and nothing was over salty. The layers of the ingredients on my toast were stacked up pretty high. As beautiful as it was, we very much hated to knife into it to destroy the beauty of it (we wanted to keep staring at it!!) A bit too dark to the back of the dining room but everything was very clean and spotless. This store (I only know two locations however) is always maintained with care. Not to mention, service was top notch. The boss lady type person (who greeted us cordially upon arrival) came by and checked on us at least once to ensure we were happy with what we got. The only thing was that the store was cold. The front door was left wide open for fresh air to let the shop breathe. The temperature outside in its upper 50's allowed some to enjoy this fresh breeze and yet we were a bit cold. Well, it could be that all the cooking smells wouldn't be trapped inside so our clothes/hair wouldn't smell like food (ha ha!!) Other than that, we were fed; we left the restaurant being so full. I used to make fun of Millennials and their Avocado Toast, and swore that I would not partake, mostly because it seemed absurd to me to pay $14 for a piece of toast with some avocado on top. Fast forward into the present and after coming here and indulging, I admit I was completely wrong. Maybe it's this place and their delicious toast that has altered my mindset? I would say definitely, it's the best toast I've ever had. We tried the Buratta Toast and Spicy Crab Toast, both equally amazing. The bread is the foundation of their toasts being so delicious, super hearty and dense with a nice crunch. Of course the fresh ingredients add to the overall greatness. The coffee here is also amazing. The staff here is super in every way, from greeting us upon entry to making sure we were completely satisfied. Looked for a cafe with a food menu on Yelp. I was intrigued by the simple coffee options, extravagant toast, and of course ACAI BOWLS. I had a hard time choosing between the acai bowls. The matcha, the coolada, and the charcoal sounded really good and unique. But I ended up chickening out and getting the OG Acai Bowl which is a traditional bowl topped with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, granola (CONTAINS NUTS), honey, and cocoa nibs. I also added an almond butter drizzle which was a great call to add some creaminess to the bowl. By the way, $13 for a bowl may sound like a lot to some. In Hawaii that's the minimum price so I was happy to pay this. And the bowl was huge! Almost overflowing and it made me so happy to know that we have something so great nearby. I was so full afterwards I counted it as my lunch. BONUS: the staff were all super nice, attentive, and considerate. The same staff that helped me also helped this father who was by himself with his two kids under the age of 5. The staff offered to split the one bowl he got for the kids so they had their own bowls to eat out of. He seemed very thankful she offered that without him even asking. Visited Toastique for the first time this morning. We ordered: 1. Spicy Crab toast 2. 3 Cheese Italian toast 3. PB + B bowl 4. OG Açaí bowl 5. Balance juice 6. Recharge juice Absolutely sensational cuisine. The ingredients for everything, from the veggies to fruit, were incredibly fresh. The Spicy Crab had a huge punch of flavor, but wasn't too hot. Flavors were very balanced. The 3 Cheese Italian was also amazing. The bread was delicious and the cheeses tasted so good together. The prosciutto, arugula, and roasted garlic onion jam put the dish over the top. Also loved both of the bowls we tried. The PB + B bowl was my favorite. All the ingredients worked beautifully together. It felt a little more desert like in some respects since it's sweeter. If you're a peanut butter buff, this bowl is a must try item. Absolutely loved the granola and candied ginger as well. The OG Açaí was also very good, though a little more acidic. The fruit tasted incredible with the other ingredients - huge bursts of flavor! Both juices were likewise extra yummy. I preferred the Recharge Juice over the Balance Juice. Plus the bright red color (thanks to the beets) was absolutely beautiful. We left full, but not overly stuffed since the food was light and healthy. We got there around 9:30 AM and it wasn't crowded at all. Plenty of places to sit. It's ultra clean and the modern decor is very tasteful. Service was minimal. I think they would be a little warmer and friendly when customers arrive. That would be my only negative comment. I think I might be addicted after one visit. After one visit and each family member (3 of us), ordered a toast and a bowl, because we didn't feel one alone would be enough for a meal. We are all in agreement that it is completely delicious!!!! As I said, it's not a meal per se because each item alone item isn't enough gif a "meal" (unless you eat like a bird or a child) but you could throw these in your rotation as a treat or snack. My husband and I both absolutely loved the salmon toast, and he's a tough one to impress! I can't even explain why it's so yummy, the lemon? The salmon? I have no idea I just know it was so good I was stuffing my face fast! I was about halfway done when I realized I needed to take my time and savor each bite because it would be gone soon. Not only is everything here a gourmet masterpiece for your taste buds but it's a beautiful piece of art work as well, this really speaks to eat with your eyes. The smoothies are equally delicious and beautiful. My only disappointment is that they're on the small side. We usually go to Nekter about twice a week, and the bowls are much larger, so much so that we would consider them a meal, and they cost less. I'd love to have Toastique bowls as my permanent replacement but for $2.45 more for s smaller amount it will just be an occasional "treat". Yeah I'm hooked on that toast! But the food and drinks fell short the basic avocado toast tasted well pretty basic like it needed more seasoning especially for the price. Incredibly delicious, healthy, and filling! I have eaten here three times now, and every time has been amazing. I am thrilled to have such a high quality dining option in Highlands Ranch. I have tried the Avocado Smash toast (avocado, marinated tomatoes, watermelon radish, micro greens, and special seasoning). It was out of this world good and I was full in a comfortable and lasting way afterward. Next, I tried the Tuscan Tuna toast (tuna, bibb lettuce, kalamata olives, capers, tomato, herb lemon vinaigrette, balsamic glaze, lemon wedge). It was also delightfully tasty and made me feel healthy after eating it. I would definitely get it again. Finally, I tried the spicy crab toast (lump crab meat, bibb lettuce, sriracha aioli, tomatoes, jalapeno, melted cheese). I devoured every bite! The flavors melded so perfectly and had just the right amount of spice without overpowering the other flavors. I have also tried a couple of their juices. I wish I could remember their names, but suffice it to say they were super fresh, tasty, and took care of my vitamin cravings! Everything here is made in-house and is super fresh. The ambiance is so welcoming and serene; it has beautiful herringbone white tile against the wall, wood accents, and is generally very pretty inside. The owner is super nice and friendly. I wanted to like this place because the menu looked healthy and it had so many stellar reviews. Unfortunately we didn't even get to try the food as the customer service was so terrible. When we walked in, there were two girls working, but we weren't initially greeted and waited about 5 minutes for someone to take our order as we waited. Finally a girl came over to take our order, but from the start, she just seemed annoyed that we were even there. Her whole demeanor seemed really off putting, so much that I almost wanted to just pause and ask if she was ok. We ordered two toasts and two coffees, and I where I could get some water assuming it was a help yourself type of deal. She said she needed to fill the water bucket first and pointed to where the water would be. We sat down and after 10 minutes, I noticed she had put ice in the water bucket but no water. I thought maybe she started to fill it and forgot, so I walked over and asked if she wouldn't mind filling the water bucket. She seemed annoyed that I asked and replied that they were really busy with a bunch of doordash orders. At that point, it was clear that she was not going to fill the water bucket until she finished her other tasks, and if it was going to take them that long to fill basic customer service asks like providing water, it was going to take much longer to get coffee and toast. At that point we just decided to ask for a full refund. The girl provided the refund and handed me the receipt with no apology. Having worked in the restaurant industry in the past, I understand when things can get busy, but there were so many basic customer service needs that were missed, and an overall negative attitude that we ended up going to Lazy Dog and getting avocado toast there for a cheaper price and much friendlier staff! read more

My friend and I both chose the Avocado Smash, and I got an Iced Brew with oatmilk instead of almond. The cashier was friendly, and the owner was going in and out and checked in on us as well. They don't skimp on the toppings here! My Avocado Smash was piled high (maybe a little too much because it was tough to eat without the toppings falling off), and it was great tasting. My Iced Brew was amazing, a really great coffee-based smoothie treat! A bit pricey, I think it was close to $50 for the two of us to get a toast and a drink, but everything was super fresh and high quality. Because of the cost, I wouldn't come here all the time, but eating out is just expensive in general anymore, so I can't fault Toastique for that.
