The employees were skillfully slow at their jobs. It took 5 minutes for the ingredients in my drink to be blended, with there being no line. Though the drink was somewhat decent, they don't advertise their sizes. So when I ordered a large smoothie I ended up with 44 oz of straight protein powder. Not too pleased with this experience. It's hard to review Smoothie King because while it's good and fulfills a semi-healthy-ish smoothie craving every now and then, it's just so expensive for a liquid meal or snack. This isn't an issue that's specific to Highlands Ranch; it's a chain-wide thing. So if I can put my frugal self aside for a minute, I really like Smoothie King. There's a lot of variety, and I've liked every Smoothie I've had from here (only 3, but that's a decent sample). I've had healthier ones that tasted healthy and ones that were pretty much straight up liquid junk food with how much sugar they had (don't try and tell me that they're healthy because they're not). The best part about this location is that it's super clean. Whenever I've come in here, it seems way less busy than it should be (not a great sign, but hopefully it'll pick up as more things move in nearby), and the restaurant is clean. There are a bunch of random supplements and other things for sale here to ignore, but the dranks themselves are the stars of the show. If you can get over the $10 sticker shock for a liquid meal or snack (sometimes, you just want a bomb ass smoothie), Smoothie King makes Jamba Juice look like a happy meal. read more

Update 7/29/20: STILL TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went in today with my daughter and my mask broke as I was walking in so I was trying to fix it and put it over my mouth the right way but it kept falling apart. As I was attempting to hold it up over my nose and juggling my keys, purse and phone, my daughter asked 2 times for a lil angel. The teenage boy behind the counter wouldn't even say hello to either one of us. I said hello to him and asked if he was ready since he ignored my daughter twice, he wouldn't even say hello back. He just stared and glared at me and said I won't help you until you get your mask on correctly. I literally had it over my face and I was holding the string where it broke ! It was clearly broke, he could see. That's how he treats customers??? I walked right out of there and that's the second time I've had terrible customer service and I will never be back! It's now my goal to ensure that everyone in Highlands Ranch knows that they have horrible customer service there and they don't give a rats ass about their customers!!!! The peanut butter strawberry shake (I add spinach) is literally my favorite smoothie of any commercial smoothie establishment. You can even call ahead even and run in to purchase and it will be ready. I'm a regular here about once a week and can honestly say the kids who work here have always been polite and competent. Maybe the other yelper who said they are rude is the one who is rude. The sizes are 12 oz. 32oz, and 40oz ($5-9). I recommend the middle one unless it's $5 Friday -allow extra time, they get busy on that day :) Highly recommended. read more

No one at the counter, then they come out and continue to talk among themselves about non-work related items. After a couple minutes of giving them an unhappy look - "you ready to order?" I can not believe this Smoothie King! Let's start with the glaring detail in the picture. There was a SCREW in my 3 year olds smoothie!! Luckily I caught it in time and he didn't drink it. That could have ended up seriously bad for him. My husband went into smoothie king yesterday around 7pm. He walks in the store and sees one of the employees sitting on the floor, that speaks for itself. He ordered a strawberry banana smoothie the largest size they have for my son and tells them no protein powder and they added protein powder .. for a toddler. So they make him another smoothie the small one in the picture. That smoothie was made correctly. My son fell asleep on the way home so couldn't drink the smoothie and I froze it over night. I let it thaw a little in the fridge the next day to give it to him, and good thing I froze it because the screw was in the slushy part. It wasn't until I took off the lid did I notice the screw at the bottom of the smoothie. It's ridiculous for the employees to be that careless, and ridiculous for management to hire these people. Smoothies are fine so I'm sorry I have to give 1 star. Customer service is bad. Specifically a tall teenage boy. I was in with my two kids one 5 and the other 2. My 2 year old tripped and fell into a tall stand up sign that was on the floor near the window. The sign fell over, myself and another customer helped to pick up the sign and stand it back up. Nothing was wrong with it. The kid behind the counter stormed out into the floor picked up the sign, threw it back into the floor, kicked it a few times then picked it up and threw it over the table that blocks the bathrooms from being used due to Covid. I picked up the bottom cardboard part of the sign that fell from him kicking it and handed it to him as I apologized to him multiple times. He ignored me and stormed back behind the counter. The other customers in the store just laughter at him for being very dramatic about the situation but for me it was very uncomfortable and super rude. He came back out to pick up some rubber bands on the floor from the display and threw them in the trash near the front door. As I was leaving he mumbled, " Whats wrong with some people!" I wanted to say something to him but I had my kids with me so we just left quietly. He's was very disrespectful. If he's ever in the store I'd stay clear of him. I certainly wouldn't want him working for me if I owned a business. He could've been having a bad day but I've read some other negative reviews on here about a rude teenage boy I bet it's the same kid. read more

The team here is always excited to see their customers and always search for ways to better the customer's experience. They go out of their way to make sure that each order is right and to make a new smoothie for the guest if it's a wrong order (or even if the guest simply doesn't like the taste of the smoothie). So my husband and I went into this establishment and we were really excited to try the smoothies. There was a gentleman in front of us no one in the place but us and there were four teenage kids all standing behind the counter. No one greeted us and we waited 18 minutes and no one took our order. One girl was making the guy in front of us his drink. The other person was making a drink ( turns out it was for himself) and the other two are staring at the register. Again still no one greeted us or said I'll be with you in a minute!! It was terrible. I said to my husband let's leave this is a horrible place as service sucks and no communication from staff.
