Last time I ate here I ordered the hamburger with spicy jelly and the waitress suggested that I try the Black Betty. It had peanut butter, jelly, bacon and cheese. They were out of habanero jello so I added jalapeño's instead. It was delicious!! It also matched well with the sweet potato fries. It's not uncommon for me to ask the staff what's best to order as they usually know what's best or what people like most. The restaurant was clean, as usual, and staff was very kind and efficient. First but not my last time here. We rolled in for breakfast and boy was I surprised. After reading the menu I decided on The Lil Billy. The portion is unbelievable. I'm taking half of home for leftovers. I never thought biscuits, gravy and hash browns could taste so good. The bacon is the best I have ever had. And Crystal provided us with perfect service and they pay plenty of attention to you. Our order was taken and delivered to our table perfectly. The seat was dirty i had to brush bits of food off but the tables were clean. The menu has TONS of options and the portions are huge! I had the one plus which came with hash browns, a sausage patty and a blueberry pancake. The hash browns were great they were perfectly browned not burned. The eternal brunch quest... The two of us walked in, it was busy ... but I think being under the Parker Hotel may have helped. You could tell it is a chain by the decorative farsted vibe, but it was ok We were greeted and told to it would be fifteen minutes. Others walked by, they were given the option of sitting at the bar, I was a little miffed on that since we would have gladly sat there but was not an option. After a few minutes, we were seated and gave our orders, pretty smooth so far . Food came out, again, this is the problem with corporate chains...flavor is so neutra so as to not offend it's almost bland. I had the "LilHillbilly". It was okay. No seasoning of the potatoes, eggs, or gravy. The biscuit and bacon stole the show however. She had the Sharon omelette, the top part of the hash browns were real good, the underside however was not cooked, very limp potatoes. Omelette was so so... She loved the Strawberry and English muffin however. It was okay, we have had better in Parker....but this was good for an easy brunch. We wouldn't hurry back however. read more

This is a traditional diner that has leveled up on taste and service. Vibe was chill, even when they were busy. I've been there for breakfast (you have to get the skillet biscuit!) and the portions are huge. I also took my mom there for lunch another day and even though we asked for substitutions and things on the side, they got every item right. If you like diner food with some local (and delicious) twists, Doug's takes it to the next level. No fancy "ladies-who-brunch," just good food, done right, good service, and prices that are fair. read more

Tried Elizabeth restaurant yesterday. Cold. The restaurant was cold (we kept our coats on), coffee was warm but the food was cold. Very expensive and below average food quality. Staff was friendly but you don't get good reviews with bad food and expensive prices. read more

The restaurant was clean and very busy. We had a small wait but on a weekend that is expected. Our server, Lindsay, was friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the cinnamon roll and banana bread to share and both were amazing. The cinnamon roll was huge and perfect for us to share. The banana bread had great flavor. The chicken friend steak was large and the breading was nice and crispy, gravy was great and didn't taste salty like it was from a packet like restaurant gravy typically is. My husband had bacon and eggs and the bacon was thick cut and cooked perfectly. Our son had a cheeseburger and he loved it! I finally got around to eating here. The food is good, not great, but I'd like to try it again. I had the spicy Reuben, which was not remotely spicy. Plus there wasn't much cheese either. My friend had the Doug's melt and we shared. I'd just as soon have them raise prices a bit and provide a proper sandwich. Service was on point. read more

We always look forward to a delicious breakfast at Doug's Day and today did not disappoint! We joined on a bustling Sunday morning, we were quickly seated and Laura, a super-friendly waitress from Mississippi brought us hot and fresh coffee! Food was great and included, for our table, the Sweet Combo with amazing blueberry hotcakes - so light and fluffy with a wonderful malty flavour. We also love their thick-cut bacon. Others enjoyed the breakfast burrito with bacon Christmas style, and the Ranchers breakfast with country style steak, eggs, has browns and the scrumptious griddle biscuit. Great choice for breakfast! Our only feedback to the restaurant would be to perhaps add some noise dampening panels as when it's bustling, it can also be a bit noisy. read more

I have lived in this area since the 80's and just discovered Doug's! We went for brunch. Dad had the Mona Lisa omelet and I had the Sharon. Both were light and fluffy and perfectly cooked. The staff were polite and attentive. I asked for some green chili to go with my beans and that combo was life giving! It's just a tiny place with old photos on the walls of old movie stars, WWII airplanes and other knick-knacks. We were glad we stumbled on this palace as this area of town is kinda a breakkie/brunch desert if you want something better than the typical chains. read more

Came here since we're staying at the hotel next door. We elected to get take out and we weren't impressed. I got a waffle and they didn't give me butter or syrup? And they forgot the powdered sugar. The berries are definitely not fresh (likely from a frozen bag). My bd didn't think his food was fresh either. wouldn't come back here. This is an especially busy place for breakfast, but today I went for lunch. I'd anticipated ordering a burger, but realized I wasn't hungry enough for that, so ordered the Monday-Thursday cup-of- soup-and-half-sandwich lunch special for $9.00. The soup today was potato and bacon, and three sandwiches were on offer: a Rueben, a BLT, and a club. When my "club" sandwich came, it was a simple ham sandwich, not a club sandwich by any means. While I waited my reorder of a BLT, I ate the cup of soup. It was very thick, more like mashed potatoes than soup, but I'm not complaining. The toppings of grated mixed cheeses and bacon were just right. Doug's is locally known for huge portion sizes, so I was a bit surprised the cup of soup was, indeed, a cup--I'd thought it would be more generous. But given how thick it was, more would have been too much. That may not apply if the soup is brothy. The BLT was fine, 2 slices thick-cut bacon and lettuce and tomato. I don't think there was any mayonnaise on the sandwich, but it wasn't too dry. Servers here are nice folks--that's definitely a draw for me. Parking is a bit of a hassle. There are 3 parallel spaces in front, and these are first to fill. Side parking is more generous, but harder to navigate if one is disabled. Parking in the adjacent bank lot is discouraged, and nearby restaurants are known to ticket Doug's patrons, so beware. read more

Tried this diner for the first time for a big group breakfast. Our server, Taylor, was great and The food was good. We shared the Mona Lisa Omelette (A) with fresh mushrooms, green chilies, onions and bacon. Delicious! It came with a nice serving of golden hash hashbrowns (B) and a Griddled Biscuit (C). The Biscuit was very dense without a lot of flavor...felt more like a filler. The Peach Jam (B) was good. Their prices were reasonable. We will definitely come back to try some of the other goodies on the menu. read more

Quick attentive service for breakfast on a Sunday at 10:30 am. I had steak and eggs with a biscuit and strawberry jam, very good. Had breakfast here for like the 8th time this morning. Had a great spinach, bacon, and swiss omelett with coffee but instead of toast I went with their biscuit. This biscuit was sooo BIG it was obnoxious and simply not that good - very little flavor really. This is just half of the monster next to a piece of gum for perspective. Really wanted to like this place, but it was so lack luster. Upon our greeting, it felt rushed and unfriendly. The server was kind but messed up my order. We had to ask twice for silverware after our food was served. The scrambled eggs were blah. The waffle was lukewarm and the butter hard. I never was asked if I wanted a coffee refill. The food was excellent. I had the breakfast nachos type meal (that's not what it's called on the menu but it's basically chips, cheese, choice of meat (I got chorizo), crème fresh, beans, green chili sauce and an egg on top) and it was absolutely delicious. I love huevos rancheros and this was very similar in flavor but just a different execution. Will definitely get that again. My kids both had hot cakes and they were beautifully fluffy and delicious. Also tried some of their pancakes and chilaquiles from my family and thought those were a lot better. Definitely get some pancakes. I had a sandwich first time, breakfast the second time. Sandwich, service, prices great. Breakfast took a very long time. Food was brought after several others who came in after us. Huevos Rancheros sauce was disappointing and the pinto beans served with the dish were down right disgusting. If they had just served them clean it would have been much, much better. But the pinto beans had turned red with seasoning which was all wrong and inedible. My son had a dish that came with the biggest biscuits I've ever seen. The biscuits were very good and baked just right. I would still recommend eating here. Kinda hit or miss but, I think one is more likely to be pleased than displeased. The ambience left a lot to be desired, very plain and stark other than cool pics of old Parker on the wall. Prices were reasonable. The menu had a lot of variety for the most part. read more

Doug's is one of our favorite breakfast places around. We visited again today for Sunday breakfast. We arrived around 8 AM and were seated immediately since they were not yet busy. We ordered our favorites and as always, the food was awesome with very generous portions. Much to our disappointment the service was unacceptable. It was as if our waitress had forgotten us and we'd become invisible to the rest of the wait staff. They weren't busy. Other tables were getting regular attention from their other servers. Our waitress offered to refill my coffee once, about 10 minutes after we were done eating. We waited another 30 minutes before she remembered that she was serving us and she returned with the check. The excuse she offered was that she had been "running around". We could see her the whole time we were waiting. She wasn't as busy as her fellow servers. She just plain forgot us. We are always generous tippers. Not today. This type of behavior cannot be rewarded. We'll return because the food is great. Hopefully that waitress will learn to keep track of ALL her tables. read more
