I so wanted to be able to leave a good review, but alas, this was very disappointing. Asian cuisine and Cajun cuisine are both known for bold flavors and seasoning. Asian Cajun has neither. $20 for the fried oyster platter: the smallest flavorless oysters ever, obviously bought from SISCO, and a small handful of Cajun fries that I needed to dunk in ketchup, and if I need to use ketchup on your fries, that is a very bad sign, as I rarely use ketchup. I know from talking to the owner that the fries are $4 and you get a small handful. $16 for a soft shell crab basket: The difference between a basket and a platter is that the basket does not come with fries. These were small, overcooked, super oily crabs that tasted okay when dipped in their remoulade sauce. But nothing a Cajun or an Asian would say was seasoned properly. $50 for 3lbs of crawfish boil: I got the "all in" sauce, but could not taste any garlic, lemon, or Cajun seasoning. This is Prime time for Crawfish supposed to be the largest and best crawfish, harvested right now (but these were probably imported frozen from China; the shells were super soft and clung to the meat like previously frozen, cheap crawfish). There were a couple of medium to large crawfish in the bowl, and the rest were tiny, as small or smaller than my pinky finger. When you cook really small crawfish with medium to large crawfish, the little ones get mushy and are very hard to peel, and fall apart with the shell. $5 for added broccoli, which appeared to be frozen, thawed broccoli that turned to mush when cooked with the crawfish. When I got home, I added MSG and Old Bay seasoning to the bag, so hopefully it will taste better later. (I peeled all the crawfish there to make eating later easier and less messy.) You can buy a pound of frozen crawfish tails from Louisiana for $25 and get a ton more meat, much higher quality meat. $3.50 for a Diet Coke and $1.00 per refill. That is criminal pricing for the item on your menu with the highest margin of profit, and they do not tell you beforehand that refills are extra. And the waitress was so reluctant to get me refills, at one point, I had to walk to the counter to get a refill. They were not super busy, but she (the owner) was the only person working the front of the house. Three not very large sodas for $5.50 total... Circle K sells a 44-ounce soda for $1, tax included, and I am sure they still make a profit. Angel (the owner) was super friendly except for when asking for refills, but took a really long time to get back to me for anything. It was nice that she brought the check to the table and took my payment there instead of at the counter, since I walk with a cane. But no amount of friendliness, cleanliness, or nice decor will overcome bad food, especially at these prices. read more

Absolutely love this place went here for my dad's birthday. We did 3 pounds of crawfish which they were extremely big for being out of season with tremendous flavor. We did four total pounds of snow crab 1 pound of shrimp. All of it was fresh didn't taste fishy at all we did the Asian Cajun sauce, medium spice level, which was perfect good flavor, lots of garlic comes with corn potatoes and sausage cooked perfectly. Great First Visit for a Seafood Boil This was our first time at Asian Cajun, and we were craving a good seafood boil. The positive online reviews led us here, and we're glad they did! Parking was easy, and we were seated at a booth, just as we requested. The restaurant was clean and surprisingly spacious. Service was excellent! our server even memorized our order without writing anything down. I ordered the shrimp and snow crab boil ($40 at the time), and the portion was generous. Stopped by Asian Cajun Crab Shack and ordered the catfish po'boy to go, and it was a great surprise. The catfish was crispy and well seasoned, and the sandwich itself was simple but really satisfying. The bread worked well with the fish and toppings without getting soggy. The Cajun fries were also pretty good and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I honestly didn't expect to find a solid po'boy like this all the way out in Colorado, but it definitely hit the spot. This place surprised me, I'm so glad I finally tried it!! I've been to other places that do Cajun style seafood boils. In the past I haven't been a huge fan of them before but this time I loved it. We got the snow crab and shrimp boil with the everything sauce and it was delicious! We also got the gator bites appetizer and that was good. The place is located in a strip mall and actually there's a lot of good restaurants next door. The place has plenty of room and is open and spacious. One of my favorite meals I have ever eaten was in New Orleans, and it was a shrimp Po'boy - this place captures it nearly perfectly. The pickles, the bread, the lettuce, all of it. I am so excited The Asian Cajun is up north! I frequent the Denver location often and now it's so convenient for me to enjoy their food since they're closer to home. All the seafood boils are good but I always get the crawfish (when it's in season). The Asian Cajun sauce or the garlic butter are my go-tos. They have a variety of fried seafood baskets, pasta and Asian dishes such as pho and fried rice. Don't overlook the appetizers! There's plenty to choose from. Everything on the menu is delicious! Amazing family owner's business!!! Me and my Louisiana born and raised boyfriend stopped by after wanting to come for a while. It got his stamp of approval and we will have to be back weekly. We were extremely taken care of by the owner and their happy hour was great, 25% off started beers, wine and cocktails. My corona was less than $5 , unheard of in the Denver restaurant scene. I really liked this place. It is very casual and roomy. It was not crowded when we were there. I was there with an actual NoLa native, and she really thought it was authentic. We got three things, Shrimp Etouffee, Shrimp Gumbo, and Spicy Cajun Fried Rice. All were excellent! They were plated well and served hot. The flavor balance was delicious and amazingly nothing was too salty. The spice level for me was slightly mild but I am guessing you could ask for it to be spicier.
