The extra hot green chili is really good! Sopapillas are also a must with a pitcher of margaritas! When it's your birthday the staff comes out to place a sombrero on the birthday person's head and loudly sings 'Happy Birthday'. It's always a fun time here. We were thoroughly impressed even after seeing the maggots baby umbilical cord cut right in front of our eyes. Me and my son felt really unwelcome. The Cajun fried rice on the side was genuinely good -- well-seasoned, not an afterthought like…read morefried rice sometimes is at seafood spots. Water was cold and refilled without us having to flag anyone down, which matters more than it sounds like when your hands are covered in Old Bay and butter. The dining room itself was clean, well-kept, and the energy was warm without being chaotic -- easy to talk over, easy to relax into. We finished with ice cream, which was a nice, unexpected way to close out a meal built around mess and spice. Boils here are market-priced, so it's not a cheap night out, but between the portion size, the sides included, and the attentiveness of the staff, it didn't feel like we were paying for atmosphere or hype -- it felt like we got what we paid for. This is a great pick for a group that doesn't mind getting their hands dirty -- girls' nights, birthdays, anyone who wants a seafood boil that doesn't take itself too seriously. If you're looking for a quiet, tidy dinner where you never touch your food, this isn't it, and that's exactly the appeal.

Formal Complaint Regarding Experience on 7-9-2026…read more To the Management Team, I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my recent visit to your establishment on 7-9-26 Having visited several times in the past, I have previously enjoyed your shrimp platter; however, my experience this time was deeply unsatisfactory. My visit was marred by unprofessional and rude service from the staff members on duty. When I politely requested lemons, my request was met with dismissiveness. Furthermore, when we raised a concern regarding the quality of the fried rice which appeared to be plain white rice with frozen vegetables rather than the fried rice we have received in the past our concerns were ignored, and our request for a simple substitution of fries was flatly refused. I was also shocked to see additional line items on our bill for requests that are standard in the service industry. Specifically, I was charged $1.00 for a request for "extra crispy" fries, and I have previously been charged for simple accompaniments like lemons. Charging customers for basic food preparation preferences feels both petty and indicative of a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. The combination of hostile service, a significant decline in food quality, and the nickel-and-diming of standard requests has made it clear that I will not be returning to your business. I believe it is important for you to be aware of how these practices are impacting long-term customers. I hope you take this feedback seriously to prevent other patrons from having similar experiences. You have lost a good customer. Will never come again. I hope others will not go. I am sure we will find place support and find good food.

I kind of want them to replace the beans they give you with the salsa and chips when you first sit down, with the beans that are on the plate. Either way they're both tasty. Salsa is perfectly spicy without needing a constant drink. Service was good too, our waiter didn't speak much English, but the orders came out well. The inside looks completely different than when it was Old Chicago, they did a bang up job, especially with the hand painted mural. Once the kinks of opening a new place are ironed out, this place will be even better.

They tasted like the grease they were fried in was very old. Funky tasting, but the kicker, the cheese inside was not even melted and the inside of the wrapper was soggy and chewy and tasted like that old grease. My partner had a create your own plate with a taco, a burrito and an enchilada. The put a funky crispy relleno on her plat too. She could not eat it either, she liked the beef, but her enchilada, the cheese was not melted either. The beans were good, the rice tasteless. The salsa was acceptable. The best thing I had was the black bean dip they gave with the chips and salsa, it was really good. I am only doing 2 stars because of the service. Otherwise it would have been 1 star. I will NOT go back.
