I have been going to Los Arcos for many years. My brother proposed to his wife there and also had a rehearsal dinner there many years ago. The last time I went with two friends a couple of weeks ago, I was disappointed. First we were seated at a table that was so lopsided that we moved to another. That table was also lopsided so we tried a third. One of my two friends had picked Los Arcos for her birthday dinner. The food was good, as usual. Just before we got our food, we were asked if it was alright with us to move our table about 2 feet as they needed to add another table to a very long set up table for a large party. There wasn't very much room for us to move over but it was done. After dinner we're were sitting and taking when a waitress came up to us and asked "will you be staying long"? The way she said it sort of made me angry and I looked at her and asked her if she wanted us to leave. She said that the large party next to us had become even larger. She said if we were staying we needed to pick up and move to another table. It all seemed rude and not like the past service we had received at all. So we moved yet again. We had ordered fried ice cream which I love but it was so frozen that we couldn't even get a knife in it. Ended up leaving it. The treatment we received was nothing like many times in the past. We've been patrons of Los Arcos for over 15 years and we still enjoy every time we visit. The food is great, the portions are large and the service is always so much fun. We also enjoy the multiple TV screens so we can enjoy whatever sports game is on while dining. Our go to order is the three-smothered Burrito Plate, Super Burrito and/or Traditional Chimichanga. The extra hot green chili is really good! Sopapillas are also a must with a pitcher of margaritas! When it's your birthday the staff comes out to place a sombrero on the birthday person's head and loudly sings 'Happy Birthday'. It's always a fun time here. There are many other Mexican restaurants in the area to choose from but we enjoy coming here for the atmostphere. read more

We were seated immediately when we arrived. Staff was nice and friendly but the food was very bad. We ordered the tacosas and molcajete. The tacosas was supposed to be a deep fried giant taco. However, the meat was tasteless when eaten on its own and has a bit of livery taste. The grease it was fried in was clearly recycled as you can taste the old grease. The molcajete meat pieces looked like leftover meat pieces from other dishes and did not seem like quality ingredients. The rice and beans that came with it, the refried beans tasted like it came straight from a can. Overall, very disappointed as we came here from a recommendation. On top of that, after the meal, my eyes started itching. I only start itching when there is a massive shellfish contamination. read more

This is a hidden gem that sits just outside of Denver. I've been here probably 10 times in the last year! The service is always great, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I've never seen anyone sit on the patio, now that I think about it. The fajitas are amazing. And the Jumbo Nachos were also SO good. But it was SO big. I got it as my meal, and ate as much as I could, as fast as I could. But they were soggy within 10 minutes. Honestly, you need about 5 people to finish this huge plate of food. This is the only restaurant that serves what they call "Tacos Fritos". Being from SoCal, all tacos were made this way before 'truck' tacos came along. Extremely smooth & efficient. We ordered house margaritas which were ok. The chips & salsa were plentiful and also ok. We ordered a green chili dinner and a chili rellano dinner. Both were very good. The salsa here is so flavorful I could almost fill up on that. It's very fresh, and very chunky, which I appreciate on an empty stomach needing some sustenance. I had the super burro, 1/2 beef and 1/2 bean. It has enough flavor, although I did add chalula. It was big enough to eat half (with the chips) and save the other half for the next day. We've been coming here for years, but lately it's been a mess. While the service is still good, the food is worse every time. It keeps getting less flavorful and more greasy. My wife may have even had some reaction to all the grease as she experienced a bowel-rattling blowout in our basement bathroom just two hours after our last dinner here. Lots of TVs, they were playing NFL preseason so I imagine this would be a great spot to catch the game during regular season. We came during happy hour on a Friday and they were very busy, we still received good service! They also provided complimentary chips and salsa which is always appreciated at a sit down Mexican restaurant. The house margarita was very strong (and huge, a bonus because it lasted the whole meal). The burrito itself was delicious. This would be a 5 star from me if the green chili had some kick to it! I came to this place on Mothers Day and the place was packed! but the service was quick and we were seated right away. Upon entry the hostess gave all the moms a single long stemmed rose and free margaritas! The menu was loaded with tons of delicious foods of both Mexican and American varieties. After ordering our food arrived freshly prepared which was both pleasing to the eye as well as to the tastebuds. The servings were so big that we had to ask for several to go boxes. We went to Los Arcos on a Sunday at 630 with our family. Our server was less than friendly. Our son's steak came and was completely raw. He ordered medium rare. The steak looked great but completely raw. Then the server argued that it was what he ordered. When he brought the manager over she immediately said it was rare and apologized and took the plate. The second steak came out well. My son was hungry so he said it was fine and she said no she needed to make it right. She took the steak and left the rest of the food so he could eat something. We were all almost done with our food by the time he got to eat. The third steak was as ordered. The manager was apologetic and helpful. The waiter was terrible. He ignored us the rest of the visit, we had to wave him down despite a not busy evening. The food was fine but nothing exceptional. Then we just saw our statement and the waiter adjusted the tip to a penny short of what we approved. The manager said she told the owner but the owner never visited the table to check on us or see if we were taken care of. We should have been able to eat together as a family. I gotta be honest; I agree with the three star rating. I will say our waitress was great, very sweet and friendly, and super attentive despite it being a busy Friday night. So that was definitely a highlight of our experience. The food on the other had was pretty meh. Definitely not "authentic" but more of an American Mexican cuisine. Somewhat bland. I will say the star of the show was the extra hot green Chile; that had some good heat but alas I refrained from enjoying until I am done with this dang pregnancy. (24/7 heartburn is sadly no joke) but even if I could tolerate heat at the moment and everything was smothered in that green Chile I feel like it would still be lacking. The flautas were supposed to come either Mexican style with guacamole and sour cream of rancheras style with red or green Chile. I opted for Mexican and a side of regular green Chile. Firstly look has sad and dry they are; thank god I ordered the extra side of Chile or they would have been pretty lame. And then also what is that green watery excuse for guacamole ?? Lol it reminded me of (and probably was) the guacamole hot sauce you can get at the store for like $1. Pretty sure no fresh avocados were used in that and again had I not ordered the side of green Chile I would have been severely disappointed. Awful, disappointing, in absolute disbelief of all the positive reviews on this place. The salsa had a heavy taste of grease and lard, the steaks we ordered medium rare were gray and barely even cooked, the beans were dry and rice undercooked and stale. The moscow mules we ordered tasted nothing like ginger, the presentation was so flat and uninteresting, it truly demonstrated the lack of thought and effort, and it really just tasted like half a shot of vodka diluted with seltzer water. The quality of the food was point blank terrible. I honestly wish I'd stayed home and eaten a ham and cheese sandwich. It would've been top tier in comparison. In regard to the service, the servers seemed like they just didn't care. I asked for a water refill, the server never got it to us. The environment was so unwelcoming that half the party wanted to leave right after we got our orders in. I really regret not listening to them. Whoever was supervising last night gave us so many glares and made us feel unwanted. It was all just a bad vibe, I think we had more fun replacing the tire on my car that went flat driving here because of how crap the roads in the area are. Just a terrible experience. My husband had to travel to Westminster for business and had about a 3 hour window in his day for us to grab lunch. This restaurant was about an 8 minute drive from our hotel, and I had seen this restaurant advertised on social media and it was close to our hotel so we figured why not. When we arrived, there was one woman behind the computer around the corner from the door. She told us she'd be with us shortly because she was putting a DoorDash order in the computer. Another man walked in and said he was meeting someone for lunch. He was told there was no one here. When he insisted their car was in the parking lot, he was brushed off and rudely told he could wander around looking for them (spoiler alert - they were in the booth right around the corner). We still were in the waiting area when the woman behind the counter told whoever Brenda is to seat us. Brenda did not and instead started sorting things. When another woman server walked up, Brenda handed her two menus and told her to seat us. She walked us around a corner to a booth where we sat for 15 minutes with no one coming to the table. At this point, we'd been here for 30 minutes and had yet to be asked what we wanted to drink. We decided we should just order to go food and went back to the counter. When we got there, all three women were standing around the counter and looked appalled that we got up. We mentioned my husband's meeting and ordered to go. The DoorDash driver showed up for his meal and was told it would be right out. He ended up having to wait with us for another 20min in the seating area before both meals came out. They charge extra for chips and salsa, which blows my mind, so we didn't get any with our food because we didn't know we had to order that. The food was extremely mediocre, lacking flavor, and the portions were so small it couldn't have cost more than $2 to make the food in the boxes that they were charging $10 for. I've driven by this place so many times and it always looks packed! I finally went to check it out and it was pretty good! I am very picky about Mexican food and I do not like shredded chicken. So it's hard to find places and entrees that have grilled chicken. I opted to get the grilled chicken fajitas and they were very tasty! And I even had enough for leftovers the next day. My husband got a variety plate so he could try different dishes. He liked them all but said the taco was the best.
