There is only one word to describe this restaurant: perfection. I can't think of a single thing that I would change. First off, I need to compliment the entire staff from the waitresses to the cooks. It's clear that this restaurant is a well-oiled machine and no matter how busy it gets there the waiting time and quality do not waiver. The food is the best Mexican food I've ever had anywhere. No, I'm not exaggerating. I've not had a single thing here that did not meet and exceed my expectations. It's hard to put into words how much I like this restaurant. Some things are just better experienced yourself! read more

Yuck.... Smells like a dirty urinal and nobody seems to be very happy to be there. Food sucked. At least I didn't get food poisoning like the last place. read more

Love! Love! Love this place. We are there once a week. Nice family owned place. Food is great and the service is outstanding.

Amazing delicious food very friendly homey feeling a bit small but it's worth it five stars hands down best menudo ever

very bad customer service, today 03/16/24 -I had a very bad experience with the waitress and cashier about the check. I asked for tacos and they charged me for cilantro, chips, extra drinks I never got and told me that If I don't like it to open my own restaurant. read more

We go here all the time, one of our favorite spots in Thornton. Food is good and reasonably priced.

2 stars for service and the fried jalapeños Other then that the green chili was not good the steak was chewy and my buddy's shredded beef was dry. Probably not going there again. read more

This my family's favorite little hole in the wall. We always come by for something quick and it's always good. Highly recommended!

I ordered a good amount of food including menudo , i asked specifically how i wanted it to be made , there was no flavor it was mainly watered down with a tint of orange, if i could rate this place zero stars i would , not only that I ordered Barbacoa , it was terrible , dry and nasty . The food is terrible i don't understand why they are still open . I recommend not spending more then 10 dollars here . Money was thrown away. read more

My favorite place for dinner breakfast are any time of day the menudo is the best and the staff there are two there that are my favorite the young man and the younger girl the Spanish speaking older lady's I'm not a fan of they tend to be more rude over all I'll take family and friends here. read more

Stopped here after 2 other Mexican restaurants were closed. Ordered food to-go at the counter. I got a chili relleno, taco, and enchilada. The food was really gross, almost inedible. I ate half of everything and was too put off to finish. The taco was basic ground beef (no seasoning), lettuce, tomato, shredded cheddar cheese, and a hard taco shell you buy at the grocery store. read more

Got take out 6 carne asada tacos, beef was a bit chewy, under seasoned, no smoke flavor. Just very passable. The side of green Chile (looked like orange chili) was basically tomato soup with some chili in it. And they only gave me 2 tiny hot sauce containers for 6 tacos. I was Surprised how busy the restaurant was. Everything was just edible nothing else. read more

All I wanted was a simple smothered burrito. How hard is that to screw up? The beans were dry, pasty, and bland. The chicharrones were stale and very salty. The carnitas were dry and didn't seem to have any spice in them at all but the worst part was their disgusting green Chile. It tasted like it was tomato based. I wish I would have read the reviews for this place before I went. read more

I love acronyms. I love creative acronyms. And the internet has been one of the biggest contributors to the world's collection of acronyms. Yelp is also doing it's part (you've been FUC'ed!). My favorite Yelp contribution happens to be YASMG. Don't know it? It stands for Yet Another Strip Mall Gem. Seriously. Google it. Learn it. Use it. Well, I'd like to add my own entry to the pile. TSMC. Typical Strip Mall Crap. And I'd like to apply it's inaugural useage to Los Nogales. Situated in a part of town that's heavy with good Mex, I had high hopes going in. I was not taken aback by the coffee shop circa 1978 decor, cause sometimes angels have dirty faces. It comes down to the food, people, and the food was not very good. In fact, it lived up to the decor. Bland, overcooked, dry, stale. Bummer. Service was great, and the rest of the clientele seemed to be enjoying themselves. But I was underwhelmed. Before you tell me to STFU, I will say that YMMV, IMHO. I'll just go a block north or south, to La Palapa or La Botana, which both r00l. I wanted YASMG and I got TSMC. AFAIK, I won't BRB. LOL. WTF! FTW!!! Cheers! read more

I thought this was a good experience despite the previous review. I had a Mexican hamburger which was okay but I can remember when M&G's made them and I've yet to find anyone restaurant that compares. The taco was okay, don't like the way the meat was prepaired but again it was okay. The menudo was very good with lots of homney. Mom said the encheladas were "great." The carne asada was also very good. My favorite was the corn chips & salsa. In all I'd come back again. read more

Los Nogales Restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Thornton, Colorado

Well, this rating might be closer to a four-star rating, but deal with it. I am giving it five-stars. I am doing this due to the fact that my family has been going to this place pretty much since it first opened up. My family knows the owners pretty well and they've treated us quite well over the years. Very friendly too. As many times we have gone here, I can't say that I've tried too many different foods. It's just that I like their smothered steak burrito so much that it's too hard to no go with that choice. The price is real reasonable for the burrito as well, so that helps. It would be a shame to pass this place up in my opinion. If I lived closer these days, I'd go to this Mexican restaurant more often. read more

Went here today and was pretty impressed. Beef and chicken enchiladas were good, green chile was good and ground beef was good. I got a combo plate so I was able to try a variety. Also liked their rice and beans! I will definitely be going back here in the future read more

Messed up my entire to-go order and overcharged me. When I called to speak to the female Owner about the messed-up order, she argued with me and repeatedly told ME that the server told her I ordered meat (which I did not). I am a vegetarian and received ground beef in my to-go order and the other 3 to-go orders were also not correct. I will not return to this restaurant because the Owner is rude and does not care. She did absolutely NOTHING to make it right!! She did eventually say "sorry" at the very end of the conversation because she has known me for many years of visiting this restaurant. The waitstaff is usually extremely rude, so I decided to start ordering TO-GO food instead. This is the very last time that I will give them my hard-earned money. read more

It was okay. The chips were hot but all of the flavors are a little mild for my native taste buds. The rellanos were made with orange cheese and egg. The cheese enchilada was good. The food was worth the price, but I personally would prefer my food to be a bit Spicer. read more

This place is such a hit and miss. TODAY A MISS. Very ,very slow Service ! With only 10 people seated .45 mins.and still no food can't even get a water refill .49 mins for food I ask the waitress 3 times for extra napkins never did get them or water .the prices are good. read more

The food has always been above average. This has been my favorite place to go in this area. Especially the shrimp cocktail. The main reason for going are the Michelada (not sure on spelling) or Red Beers. They are by far the bests one's that I've had. read more

Probably the best menudo I've ever had. Everything was perfect with the to-go items. Lime, oregano, red pepper, white tortilla (I know I'm a gringo). What really stood out was the flavor and the tomato inside of the menudo. Robust flavor. A lot of tripe, and not overpowered with too much hominy. This is an authentic and delicious place! read more

Small restaurant, great prices and EXCELLENT food. My favorite is the warm chips and chunky salsa, Barbacoa torta and Mexican steak plate. I will never go to another Mexican restaurant because I know I will always be pleased here. read more

This place is awesome! Food is always amazing and so is the service. This place can be busy on the weekends but it's always worth the wait. A mom & pop shop that I am proud to support. As a Mexican-American, I know good Mexican food. I am really picky and this restaurant has never let me down! read more

I really enjoy this place! It's got great salsa (not too hot, not tomato sauce) and the food is excellent. Cilantro haters, note that they do use it in the salsa. The ground and shredded beef fillings I've tried have had good flavor, they were well seasoned. This flies in the face of most Denver Mexican food values, but it greatly pleases my foodie's palate. Chili rellanos were moderately spicy, not excessively spicy. Most people should be able to eat here without sweating too much due to high Scoville ratings. The service can be a little slow at times, though that is mostly due to lackadaisical waitstaff than a slow kitchen. It's not a deal breaker for me, since the waitstaff are always pretty friendly and helpful despite their lack of haste. The most fabulous part about this restaurant is the prices-- it's easy on the wallet, which means I can go here more often. Sounds win-win to me! read more

Wife and I both got menudo and it was ok but there's no comparison to the menudo at Guadalajara... I also got a cheese enchilada and it was cold and the salsa tasted like a can of diced tomatoes lol‍ wouldn't be my first choice or 2nd to come here next time haven't been there since 2012 and this was our first experience back. read more

Good food at a good price. The fajitas are great aa are the margaritas, not to overlook the service either as it was outstanding.

Horrible service! Ordered a C-22 and no tomatoes or onions and they made them with the tomatoes and onions on the plate when asked to remake they just scraped off tomatoes and onions and our waitress was talking crap in spanish worst Mexican food in Colorado!!! read more

Great food. We absolutely love it here when it's not busy. We have learned that when it's busy not only is the wait for seating a while but so is service. Once we finally got seated we waited about 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken and another 15 minuets to receive the drinks and place our finale order. Needless to say we stick to weekdays or morning weekends to attend. They need a bigger venue and a more observant wait staff that is capable of handling more then two tables at a time. read more

Moved up north and was in need of a new spot for Mexican food. Based on Yelp reviews we stopped in to try. My son had enchiladas and I had a shrimp cocktail and smothered chille relleno and in the words of my very picky son, "so very delicious". It's totally a hole in the wall small and needs updating but the food is great, we will definitely be back! read more

This is a great family owned and operated Mexican restaurant. The chips are warm and the salsa is fresh. Not too mild and not too spicy with lots of real flavor. The value this place has is amazing. $5.50 for an enchilada, taco and smothered burrito. That's unheard of this day and age. If you're in the area give this place a chance. It's better than the reviews show. Great value for great food. read more

Best place for me after a hangover. Menudo is on point everytime! The place is always packed when i come in, but the service is always good and has never been unpleasant. Plus, everything on the menu is fairly affordable. Gotta check this place out! read more

2nd best crispy chile rellenos I've ever had! We eat there twice a week lol. The staff is incredibly friendly and the green chile is AMAZING!! I it gets SUPER busy on Sunday around 11 (after Church lets out) so get there early or go for a late lunch if it's the weekend. My older always gets the steak; I'm not thrilled with it but it's not bad. Chile rellenos are the way to go! read more

First off, I called into the place to place my order for pickup. The woman wasn't able to understand my English. This resulted in my order being incorrect. Then, my husband's and my daughter's bacon was not cooked throughly. The workers were such in a rush, they sent out food that was basically uncooked. read more

Good local Mexican restaurant. Even though they were busy, we were seated quickly. Great chips & salsa, though I wish they would have offered a refill of the chips. Service was friendly & all of our meals were good. I don't live near this restaurant, but if I'm in the area again, I'd definitely return. Buen provecho! read more

Food was ok, good prices but the quality could be better as well as the service. I ordered tacos which were dry and a tamale that came smothered even though I ordered it without sauce. The tacos were so dry I had to drink to swallow. Also we asked for chips and salsa 4 times and finally got them as we were finishing our meal like they were after dinner mints. read more
