Fried fish tacos

Big margaritas + the indoor/outdoor space makes this a go-to spot for me. We especially enjoy sitting on the patio for lunch on a warm day. The first time dining here, our server informed us their food is Baja-style, with a strong focus on flavor, and the food really is delicious! We've sampled many items on the menu but our favorites are the birria tacos and fried fish baja tacos. The baja trio is nice since you get a sampler of guac, queso and salsa. We also enjoy the street corn and ceviche as starters. Service is always great, food comes out fast, and we always enjoy our time here.

I love the Thornton/Westminster/Broomfield areas getting popular Denver based restaurants opening their second/third locations up north, so I was really excited to see Perdida making its way up here. The food is good, not phenomenal but solid. (Skinny) Margarita, same. Service was good - and the vibe was pretty spectacular. Calm, not too dimly lit but lit enough - loud(ish) but it's an open space on a busy Saturday night so what do you expect? Overall def be back, especially over the summer for close patio happy hours.

This is the Baja trio. It is ~$18 and you get about $2 worth of product.

Perdida was recommended and we were scoping it out for a large party. Unfortunately, they do not offer a la cart items except during happy hour. We just needed to sample their products. The location is reasonably appointed and appears appealing. However, the food nor the interactions were to our liking. Basically, we were told the more casual sister restaurant would be more fitting for us!!!! Had it not been for the sprinkler housing falling from the ceiling and hitting me in the head, I doubt they would have properly addressed the situation. I did not expect to be comped however nor did they inquire as to if I was ok from the impact of their falling decor. Prior to that, they had dismissed our comments stating they are more "coastal " or "Baja" and perhaps their location was just not our cup of tea. Regardless, we will never be having our " cup of tea" here in the future. Good concept but very poor execution. Honest warning.... Good luck

One star deducted merely for the patio (which is large) but not being pet friendly. Such a bummer!! We came for lunch and luckily it wasn't too busy. We were seated promptly on the patio. We ordered drinks, chips, and the fajitas to share. All the food was delicious and I enjoyed my margarita. We had to kind of hunt down help for some items we needed at times. It unfortunately ended up being our server was bogged up by a party splitting there bill what looked to be 8 ways. Will be back, but would be back more if I could bring the pup to come hang on the patio!

Absolutely delicious,we'll definitely be coming back! Where do I begin? The drinks were incredibly refreshing. The Coco-Loco was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, cold, vibrant, and so satisfying. The ceviche stole the show as my personal favorite. The fish taco was also delicious, fresh and full of flavor. The street corn was tasty, though the pickled onions were a bit strong for my taste, I'd ask for them on the side next time. We had a baby in our group who made quite a mess, and the server was incredibly kind and patient with us. The service made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We're already missing the food and can't wait to go back!

Perdida is a pretty good upscale Mexican restaurant. We found this to be a cool location with a great atmosphere. All of the staff were friendly and we were greeted when we walked in. We started off with a few appetizers, the mini chile rellenos were good, 6.8/10 filled with lots of cheese. The Crispy fried shrimp is a real winner, great sauce and flavor 8.5/10. We also tried the jalapeño Cesar, which was decent, a little on the plain side 6.5/10. For entrees we had the Perdida special which had a chicken enchilada 6/10, carnitas (a little dry) but good flavor and spice 6/10 and a birra taco which was a little flavorless and the dipping sauce was full 4.5/10. For the other entree, we had the carne asada, fairly straight forward. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, it was lacking flavor and left some to be desired 6.3/10. The rice and beans were very good 7.5/10. To end our meal we had the churros, without sugar, they were alright, a little dry 5/10. We found this spot to be good and we would come back. For two of us our bill was $140 with tip with no drinks. I honestly wish they had more options or the ability to add tacos or other items ala carte. It looks like they had a good drink menu. It was not very busy on a Sunday and plenty of good parking!

Looooved Perdida! We opted to sit in the outdoor indoor area, which had a great ambiance. The margaritas were very tasty and potent when we upgraded to Casamigos tequila. We enjoyed tacos and guacamole. My biggest complaint is that their cilantro lime rice has butter and their only non dairy option was to serve me double the beans. My friend said the rice did not need the butter as that is all she tasted. The service was great, various servers checked on us often. I'm not sure how people find this place, hence the name, maybe? I noticed it after leaving the pizza place next door and driving out the back way.

Birria enchiladas with jalapeño cream sauce. Lots of meat, moderate spicy. Cilantro lime rice.

Very good food and an excellent atmosphere. The dishes were flavorful and clearly made with quality ingredients. The environment was welcoming and comfortable, perfect for dining with friends or family. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely return!

Absolutely amazing place. My wife and I tried this place for the first time by checking into the useful reviews on yelp. Thank you yelpers for finding this place for us. The host, Jay, was awesome and turns out from the same area of Illinois that we came from recently had a nice conversation as he seated us. He told us about the fusion type menu and offered a suggestion of the trio appetizer, which we found to be absolutely delicious couldn't stop eating The three different types of dip. The meal in itself was some of the best flavors I've had since moving to the area a few weeks back. Maddie, our waitress was amazing and very, very helpful as to picking our main entrées since they all looked so good and making my decision harder than it had to be. The espresso martini was different in a good way, and in a way almost tasted like a chocolate shake, but had a kick to it. I had to make sure my wife was driving home after two of those puppies. Do yourself a favor get over to Perdida today and experience what we recently have experienced.

Amazing Baja cuisine. It's elevated, folks. Everything is made fresh, even the soup was entirely home made ingredients. This is thankfully not the same fare that we've been dealt in the North Metro. Steak fajitas, so tender and flavorful with onions and peppers caramelized on a sizzling plate. Fresh guacamole, salsa, sour cream and tortillas to top off a masterpiece. Chef Ruben has got the flavors down! Best fish taco, black beans and cilantro rice. Nothing is ordinary here. Everything is stellar. Classy atmosphere, Consuela is the manager and makes sure everything is just right. This location has lower prices than the Wash Park restaurant so take advantage. The experience, quality and service is well worth it, and you won't get anything near as good anywhere else in the area. It's unexpected and memorable. Find it connected to the Homegrown building. It's a separate space with its own entry on the west side of the building.

Love the Fun, fresh coastal vibe in this news restaurant. We made reservations for 5 on a Friday night and were seated right away. Our server was attentive and always kept our water glasses full. The negatives are the prices and the portions. Pricey menu and small portions. I don't mind paying a bit more if I get to take some food home, but not here. The queso and chips were $14 and the queso bowl was barely half full. The food was good, we all enjoyed what we ordered.

We spoke with David and learned about their food and how much love they put in each dish. They have only been opened for 2 years. Service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean and modern. The food was phenomenal and Itacate is added to our list now. For starters, the fresada was delicious. It is a strawberry lemonade. I also ordered a Mango version to go. Very refreshing. We started off with the Queso Fundido with chorizo. It was hot and the cheese was just so good and stretchy. Such a nice find - we don't see it on menus in Colorado so must try. We ordered several tacos - birria, cochinita, shrimp, and fish. Every taco was delicious and full of flavor on its own. The rice and beans were also very well made. Each bite just bursts in flavor. David was kind enough to also let us try the Pambazo which is kind of like a torta but they grill it with the sauce on the outside. And if you put an egg in it, it can be fantastic breakfast sandwich. For dessert, we ordered the deditios con nieve which is funnel fries with sauce and coconut ice cream. It's deconstructed funnel cake essentially which my bf enjoyed because he can eat just the fries and ice cream. All in all, 10/10 experience. We will def be back

We both had a couple of tacos which were all delicious: 2 chicken, 1 shrimp and 1 fish. All of them were GF except the fish, due to the fish being breaded. The tortillas are deep fried which help them to hold together perfectly. The shrimp and chicken were both perfectly cooked and really flavorful. the cheese in all of them was delicious and gooey. They have a pretty big menu and we saw lots of delicious looking dishes floating by. Lots of vegetarian options too. (including potato tacos of which we ordered 2 to go and they were very well received). The service was great and very friendly. We will be back. Yum. The ambiance is nothing fancy but who cares when the food is so good!

I really wanted to love Vatos Tacos because the food itself has solid potential, but unfortunately,…read morethe customer service during my visit left a lot to be desired. The biggest issue was the experience with Devin, the GM. His interactions while taking orders came across as dismissive and somewhat arrogant, which set an uncomfortable tone from the start. What was more concerning was how he spoke to and treated the team members he was supervising -- it felt unnecessarily sharp and demeaning, especially in front of customers. There was also a noticeable delay with billing and follow-up, and communication around timing wasn't very clear. We sat at the bar, so it was a bit tough to ignore him since he was directly in front of us, serving as the bartender. A little more attentiveness and courtesy would have gone a long way. That said, Matt truly stood out in the best way. He was gracious, warm, and incredibly courteous. He took time to share his personal favorites, offered some off-menu secrets that genuinely elevated our tasting experience, and even suggested local festivals and activities to my friend who had just moved to the area. In a world that has felt especially chaotic lately, his kindness was deeply appreciated -- perfectly paired with a side of tacos and Topo Chicos. I hope this was just an off day on the management side, because the spot has promise. With more polished and respectful customer service -- especially at the leadership level -- the overall experience could improve significantly.

They were very patient with us as we brought our dog inside and told us as long as he doesn't fart and serve the other customers they had no problem with him being there :) We tried some of the tacos and the Horchata Agua Fresca. Everything was delicious, I originally asked for their recommendation on which tacos to get and he said you can't go wrong, so I opted for one El Pastor one Carne Asada, and one birria taco add cheese. Everything was so good, the perfect balance of flavors and very generous portion - these tacos were stuffed! They also have an awesome salsa and topping bar with tons of options and a serve yourself format with little containers and lids.
