Honestly, the food was good. It's cool having a new exciting restaurant in our town. We'll be back to try again but we had a really odd experience that seems to be common among other diners. We arrived early with only a few other couples in the restaurant, but we were sat in the back in a dark corner by the kitchen and exit. Thought that was just based on sections but new walk ins were sat in the nicer booths and tables in our waitresses section. Given how cute the restaurant is we were slightly disappointed to not be in the atmospheric part of the restaurant. Additionally, our waitress completely forgot about us back there and when I finally got my order in my order was wrong. There was one gentleman who noticed we were forgotten and was super nice and helpful, thank you to him!!! It was pretty good (but pricey). Amazing Baja cuisine. It's elevated, folks. Everything is made fresh, even the soup was entirely home made ingredients. This is thankfully not the same fare that we've been dealt in the North Metro. Steak fajitas, so tender and flavorful with onions and peppers caramelized on a sizzling plate. Fresh guacamole, salsa, sour cream and tortillas to top off a masterpiece. Chef Ruben has got the flavors down! Best fish taco, black beans and cilantro rice. Nothing is ordinary here. Everything is stellar. Classy atmosphere, Consuela is the manager and makes sure everything is just right. This location has lower prices than the Wash Park restaurant so take advantage. The experience, quality and service is well worth it, and you won't get anything near as good anywhere else in the area. It's unexpected and memorable. Find it connected to the Homegrown building. Perdida's food is good but the portions are terrible. We ordered extra steak and had four slices total. We ordered and they also left off corn tortillas and my husband is gluten free. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Very classy on the inside. However, we got seated all the way in the corner right underneath the projector screen at a tiny table up against the wall. It was my husbands birthday and I even made reservations well in advance and noted it was his birthday, and we still got stuck in the corner. Those tables have a tiny little ottoman as a chair (with no back). Lots of children in this section. Compared to the center of the restaurant where it looked like more adults, more comfortable seating, a candle in the middle of the table, etc. We were seated for quite awhile before our server came over and gave us some water. He did not introduce himself. It was our first time here and he explained nothing about the menu. We could not hear him the entire time he served us, he was so quiet. It's a loud place too (especially in the front where we were). Also, no mention of my husbands birthday from the server! My house margarita was good. My husband wanted the skinny margarita but to sub the tequila for the Serrano tequila (to make it a skinny spicy) and was was told they could not to do that because they pre-batch make their margaritas. We found it out odd that they couldn't just make him a cocktail from scratch? The guacamole was very yummy! For $13 it was a very small portion. But delicious chips as well! I got the steak fajitas and those were also very good. $28 and there were about 7 slices of steak. Portions are small but very yummy! My husband got the Carne Asada and that was delicious as well. We unfortunately were just stuck at a tiny table and didn't have much room for all our dishes + space to eat comfortably. We unfortunately were never asked how our food tasted, and if everything was okay once we started eating it. No one ever came back. I had to flag down staff for more water since they only filled our water up once. Overall, good food but not sure I would come back! read more

What a enjoyable place. This is not authentic Mexican but it's also not Tex-Mex. It is a beautiful fusion. The whole restaurant and all the staff operate out of goodwill. Everybody was friendly. The service is great. The beer and wine list is sparse and so if I go back, I won't go to drink, but just to eat. I enjoyed it thoroughly. read more

Wow this place has the best happy hour! So happy to finally have a restaurant in the northern area with great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. You can sit outside covered or open, or inside with nice lighting. Ruben and Jose were our servers and they were so welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be making this our new go to spot! The best Mexican restaurant of all time!! The house margaritas are not made with a cheap sweet and sour mix .They are how I make them agave ,lime juice and tequila ...perfection . Background music too loud. I'm not sure why rest play loud music as it is well proven good doesn't taste as good in a noisy environment. The patio is darling with fringed umbrellas and great eclectic space indoors. Perfectly cleaned restrooms with nice soap and lotion . They pay great attention to details. The vibe has a west coast feel to it. I really liked the non alcoholic drinks, I had the pina colada one. I wished the glass was bigger. Want to start by saying the food was incredible. We got the baha enchiladas, flautas, chips, and drinks. Everything was delicious, we wished the restaurant sold their sauces so we could take them home. Everything else felt so disorganized. We waited ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us at the hosts table that by the time we were there was a hefty line behind us. We waited at the bar for our table and had to wait another ten for the bartender to serve us drink. All whatever by this point. We waited 30 mins for our table which is also fine bc we were warned. It took 20 mins for a waitress to bring us menus and by that point we were getting pretty hangry. We ordered right when we could get her attention and waited 50 mins for food. What's funny was our chips came after our entrees and we had to remind our waitress. She asked us when we got our food if we wanted other drinks which also didn't turn up until we were done with our food and a reminder. We waited another 20 for her to fill up our waters and asked her to bring the bill so we didn't have to wait longer bc we were ready to leave. I get restaurants get busy but our waitress even seemed frustrated and was complaining to another employee right next to our table about another customer complaining about the wait which was a little awkward. Again, just disorganized. We want to return but might wait and see if the time management improves because the food is definitely worth it. read more

I booked the private room for my 42nd birthday which i was really excited about since I haven't had a birthday party in a few years. I was told that I would have to spend 1000 minimum to book the party room that was not going to be a problem because there were 20 of us! Before everyone arrived we ordered pitchers of margaritas and appetizers well even before our friends got settled and ordered a manager approached my husband accusing us of not spending the minimum. This is a gem. Everything fresh. Service was wonderful. The ambiance is loud inside. Just be prepared. You will see dishes on the menu that you wont find in the "hole in the wall" places. We have been here a couple of times for dine-in and take-out. All of our experiences have been great! This was the first time for happy hour. The happy hour was amazing! We ordered everything on the happy hour menu and got the classic margs. There was an issue with our drinks and the service was quick to remake them and they ended up being perfect! All items were delicious with the mini chili rellenos and potato flautas being a must! This was also the first time we took our kids with us and they ate everything on their plate. I Don't recommend if you're going as a reserved large group and want separate bills. They do not split bills, and only let you use 2 cards to pay. That's a bummer because most people can't "math" and it was such a pain to figure out who ordered what in such a large group and get cash app/ Venmo from boomers.. not.
