Atmosphere when we enter was good for a new restaurant! Brand new as in only maybe a month open. However, the hostess never checked us in 45 minutes later after a 20 minute table wait. I had to approach her to question our time. She finally added us to a table. We sit down at a small table crowded side to side with other guests. We order Margaritas and the trio appetizer. The queso was watered down and cold. Nothing replaced!! Order the carne asada plate and mix fajitas. Mix fajitas come out and no carne asada plate. Ten minutes pass before waiter comes back to ask about his plate. We were then informed that he never entered the second meal in the system! Told they were going to refire the meal. Carne asada meal comes out, meat is cold and raw. Not medium, it was rare! One tortilla to the whole plate. Waiter returns and we had to ask him for two water refills (twice). I will say, and I hate using this word but for $145 meal we were disappointed! This restaurant by far is not worth a date night for $145 (not including tip)! Matthew R was our server. As we were getting ready to pay we watched an older couple across from us, woman got her food and man patiently waited as well! Same server. She had her food gone before he came around to check on the gentleman! We did leave a decent tip even though they could have fixed the situation and never did! We will not be returning here. 10/10! This place has a good variety of menu items and is decently priced. We spent a little over $50 including tip. We ordered a marg, the best of perdida plate (has a lil bit of everything and highly recommend) and the salsa trio. The food was amazing and so was our server Reuben. He truly made it a good experience but I haven't had food this good in awhile. Def my go-to spot now. It's not 100% Mexican food, it's Mexican coastal. What is that? Not really sure but it's damn good. Go try it! The entrance is hidden in the back of the building. To all the people giving bad reviews, you must be hard to please because this is hands down so good. I kind of want to keep it to myself but this business deserves more commotion! read more

Decided to try this new spot. I had a skinny marg. and it was good! We had chips and salsa for the app. The chips were excellent, as we're the salsas. All of our meals were good. The steak fajita, shrimp fajitas were pretty good. The fish tacos were very good. The fish was great. The crispy carnitas were the best surprise. We have come here a few times now. Once for dinner, once for lunch and last time for drinks. The place is decorated nice and the vibe is really fun but easy to miss if you don't know it's in the back of the building behind another restaurant. They don't have a lunch menu so dinner pricing makes for an $$$ lunch. The food is pretty good but the portions are small. We also ordered chips and salsa and the salsa was a bit spicy so I guess we ate more chips than salsa. We asked the server if we could get more chips but she said we had to buy another order of chips and salsa to get them. Kind of ridiculous. It wasn't worth it because the salsa was not that good. We all drank our water right away and sat with empty glasses the entire time. On our first visit here, we had drinks and dinner. I ordered a skinny marg and it was like drinking straight lime juice! It was awful! I had the others taste it to make sure it wasn't just me and the consensus was it was not worth the heartburn it would cause! . I switched to the elderberry drink and it was really yummy. Fajitas for one was a good portion for one female. A guy may have been disappointed. Another person ordered enchiladas and they were very small and not hot. You could tell they were made in advance and meant to be reheated. Another entree was the carnitas and his feedback was 'they were ok'. I'm super happy we have a new place in the area and hope they will add some lunch menu items and take into consideration how small the portions are compared to the prices. I'm so happy to have Perdida in my neighborhood! The fried avocado tacos were delicious, the red sauce was spot-on, and the nachos were crispy and fresh. You can tell they use good quality ingredients, which makes everything taste even better. The vibe is cozy with tasteful decor, and the staff made us feel welcome. Well sometimes you just have to walk out of a restaurant and this was one of those. Me and friends decided to try out this new place and were quickly sat down and then completely ignored and forgotten for 10 minutes, so we walked out. If you are going to charge on average $10 per taco... maybe just maybe make your guests know that eventually you'll get to them. It was like we sat in a dead zone between 2 servers that decided our table was not their table. Probably won't go back or try again, don't even think they noticed 4 people just get up a leave... thanks for the lukewarm water and ignoring 4 people. Were we not dressed fancy enough for you to give a shit? 0/10 don't recommend, they will be out of business when the new wears off, there's plenty of friendly Mexican food places in town that are priced better and actually take care of customers. read more

What a cool place! My daughter chose this new restaurant to celebrate her birthday and we went on a Monday night. We had a reservation but there were plenty of tables open. I imagine it'll be hoppin' on the weekends once the word gets out. This place has such an upscale but casual vibe. Completely new interior as it took over the back section of the much larger CB&Potts on 120th in Westminster. The service was top notch and highly attentive complete with an explanation of their scratch kitchen concept and menu recommendations. We even had a visit from the manager to check in on our experience. The food was delicious, particularly their fried carnitas which were very tender and flavorful. Their homemade salsas and sauces were spicy and full of bold flavors. We went with the pitcher of house margaritas and those were super fresh! It was a frigid night but their patio looked amazingly chic. Check it out! We'll definitely be going back. read more

So much potential but unfortunately it was a pretty frustrating experience for our first visit. Service was crazy slow and our server kept skipping our table to check in so it took a long time to order, get refills, etc. We ordered a kid's chicken quesadilla for our daughter, and it came out with just cheese. Server said they don't offer chicken for kids so she probably misheard us. Totally understand that things happen but then it took another 20 minutes to bring the chicken out and our 3 year old was hitting her limit. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and for $18.50 you would think it would come with a reasonable amount of food. Super nope. Each taco had 1.5 shrimp, for a whopping total of 3 shrimp between 2 tacos, with the shrimp sliced in half to make it look like more. Asked for hot sauce and that was also forgotten. Husband's margarita was good and the decor was nice but that was about it. It was too slow, overpriced, and had insanely small portions - probably our first and last visit unfortunately. read more

We sit down to have a table of margaritas, and they were okay. I had the mixed fajitas tray, came out with only chicken on the tray. My husband had the Carne Asada platter. It came out with one tortilla and we were told that they charge if we want more. We asked for salsa and chips, asked for additional salsa and the waiter said it would cost more. For a table of 4, we spent $225 and it was not worth the meal or the price at all. Will not be returning here. read more

A huge shoutout to my awesome server, Matt M, who was incredibly knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and cross-contamination! He made me feel super comfortable eating here. Also you can tell the management really trains its staff in hospitality, as we received "thank you's" from probably 6 different staff members on our way out! Ambience is awesome - super cute on the inside + great patio with heaters! Definitely filling a gap in the Thornton restaurant scene, as you usually only find restaurants like this down South.
