Not the most amazing tacos I've had (which is why it isn't 5 stars), but definitely very solid - pretty flavorful meat and fresh toppings. They were very generous with the meats and offer a variety of fresh toppings. The salsas provided were delicious, wish I had more! A very big standout is the service. Everyone was so authentically warm and welcoming, explaining their specials and being patient with my indecisiveness. They have great family and party sized taco deals, so would definitely recommend that for someone looking to feed a big group of people. Remember when this used to be a divey live music and karaoke bar. This is a huge upgrade for the neighborhood. My friends Andrew and Sophie who own el cids cigar shop right across the street let me know that it is finally open. I like the easy setup, just let them know how many you want and then what type of protein and toppings you want. Super friendly staff made sure that we had everything we needed and made sure to bring us plenty of napkins for all of the juicy. They have several taco trucks and decided to open a stand alone restaurant. Very simple menu. For the tacos, you pick you taco meat first. I tried the Al Pastor (Personally this is the best one), the Pollo and the Sirloin Steak. My wife tried the Barbacoa. Then you can pick you toppings, but we went with the traditional street taco toppings. The rice and beans were so good as well. All of the flavors are amazing. For dessert we of course got churros which were very good. The Horchata was fresh and you could tell it was homemade. Probably the best I have had in a long time. The owner was very nice. Booked Taco Block for a pre-wedding party for 36 people. Could not have been happier with the entire event! Fantastic night. Team arrived exactly when planned. We couldn't use the truck because of our rental agreement, but Adrien's team of 3 quickly set up a heating and serving station inside, and were ready to rock before the final guest arrived. Adrien brought MORE food than we ordered because we booked so far in advance, giving our guest extra choices of their outstanding tacos. Food was great! Perfect serving sizes, and more than enough extra for seconds, thirds, and even breakfast leftovers! They even surprised us with bonus quesadillas which were SO GOOD! Wrapped everything up with warm churros and ice cream with a caramel sauce. I'm not a dessert lover, but I gobbled these up before the ice cream had time to melt. Summary: Perfect timing, wonderful service, great food, and more value than I could have hoped for. 36 happy customers! Made the event such a wonderful memory, and couldn't have been easier. We hired Taco Block for our backyard wedding this past weekend and they were incredible!!! They were organized, friendly, and professional and the food was delicious! They had signs explaining how to order, served food quickly, and had a separate shaded salsa station. They even provided an extra taco option and churros at the end of the night for free! They were incredibly considerate and checked with us to make sure they weren't upstaging a cake or other dessert first. Then they left us leftovers in our fridge for the next day. On top of this I had multiple guests come up to me and tell me how good the food was! I even got texts in the following days about how much people loved the tacos. What a great find! I looked up vegan tacos on yelp and this spot came up. My boyfriend and I went to go check it out and I am soo glad we did. This little place is amazing. The vegan taco is sooo good, for real. It's not just some shitty afterthought vegan taco, it's the real deal delish. Also, the people working were SO friendly and accommodating. They were packed so full, it took two tortillas to hold all the taco-y goodness within. Tip: get them loaded for the additional grilled vegetables. Adrian brought his awesome Taco Block food truck to the Colorado State Capitol yesterday for one of our colleague's retirement party that we hosted on the east lawn.
