I am here tonight to make it right with Tacos Jalisco. Earlier tonight I ordered 2 orders of soft chili rellenos, if you haven't tried these relleno's they are the best in Colorado. Hands down, these are tacos jalisco's trademark. I left a below par review on UBEReats because I ordered 4 Mexican cokes, and they were not delivered. After the fact, I was told, the 4 cokes were bagged, but the UBER driver did not pick up the cokes and were left behind. Mary from Tacos Jalisco phoned UBER and was proactive in resolving this issue. UBER driver was contacted but never returned. I phoned Tacos Jalisco again and was told by Mary that a busser would go out of their way and hand deliver the 4 cokes. I am here to tell you that the deliver was signed, sealed, and delivered within 20 minutes. This is a perfect example not to assume anything. Mary fulfilled her promise, the owners nephew fulfilled his service, apologized at least 10 times, was sooooooo damn respectful, and even provided salsa and chips free of charge. No way in hell, I could still be pissed. For the record, Usually, I spend $500 plus a month at Tacos Jalisco. Please dis-regard my UBER eats review. This place is the ONLY place to buy Mexican food. Met coworkers here for a working lunch. First things first - their salsas were incredible and you have SO many to choose from. I would come back just for chips and salsa, lol! We came early and had the place to ourselves for quite some time. The place itself bigger than I thought, colorful and with lots of seating options. Staff were great and were open to splitting our checks, making substitutions and had a to go order ready when we closed out. All these small things make the difference. And, the food? Two words - so good! I ordered their meatball soup (Caldo de Albondigas) and loved it. Coworkers ordered tacos, a burrito and a quesadilla. Everyone left happy and full. Oh man, one of my SoCal classmates recommended this spot and I was like cool. I trust your food recs I've had the deluxe burrito that was smothered which rocked. I've had a torta which reminded me of the good stuff back west. The Al pastor tacos came with a bit of pineapple which is always a welcomed and sought after touch. Came for takeout on a Friday evening. The food is always consistent and tasty. The tacos (whichever you choose) come four to an order and are a huge portion. I like the tacos alambre, which comes with steak ham, bacon , melted cheese , grilled peppers and onions as well as guacamole and sour cream. The chips are crunchy and well salted and come with an assortment of fresh salsas. The chicharron appetizer is plenty to feed four people and comes with a choice of tostadas, corn or flour tortillas. read more

I have fond memories of Tacos Jalisco from years ago. We stopped in again recently and it did not disappoint. This place has great food. I've never ordered anything that wasn't wonderful. We dropped in early in the afternoon on a weekday and there was no wait for a table. We didn't realize that they are open for breakfast and will definitely need to do that sometime. They charge for chips & salsa here, which seems odd compared to a lot of other local Mexican restaurants. But, that was perfect for us. Who wants to fill up on chips when the food is so good here? With the construction next door, parking is a little challenging. But, if there aren't spots in the lot, there is street parking nearby. read more

Everybody was really friendly and we asked if there was any room for a party of six and they made room for us very quickly. They refilled our chips often and checked on us periodically. The restaurant is clean, including the toilets. The food was delicious and the price for the food was the right cost. I would love to come back here again for my anniversary with my wife. read more

A 5 for me after visiting 3 different times. They share a place between a laundry and Javiers diner west across Tennyson . The patio is gone for more parking spots. Well anyway, the last breakfast was chorizo and potatoes with tortillas, beans and rice. It was about an 8+. They also included chips with red mild salsa , medium super yummy green and hot orange habenro sauce. Was not a common breakfast side but i love the novelty. We've dined in and have done takeout - both times the fish and shrimp tacos were on point. Why the 2 stars? No drink prices on the drink menu and immediately I thought it was shady. We ordered 3 house margaritas (regular) thinking it would be normal non HH price right? Nope! Got the bill and it was $15.50 each. Are you kidding?? Sure they come in a large glass but it was 80 percent ice! I even mentioned to my fiancé that the margarita could use more tequila! There was absolutely nothing special about this drink for them to justify the price. Service was slow- the waitress who came over to take our order took a while, food took a while to come out. All in all, don't order the margaritas or at least confirm the price. I think it's shady they don't list any prices on the menu so they can charge however much they want. My friend from Boulder suggested this spot because it's one of the few places in the area that offers hard shell tacos. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. The food is canned and mediocre, which was acceptable when prices were low, but that's no longer the case. A major issue was the unclear drink pricing. The menu didn't list prices for alcohol, so we ordered skinny margaritas with silver tequila, served in large glasses that turned out to be mostly ice and water with just one shot of tequila. To our surprise, we were charged $17.50 per margarita. When we raised this with the manager, she admitted the prices weren't on the menu and said she'd bring it up with the owner. She also claimed the margaritas were 16 ounces--which they were, but mostly of ice and water with one shot of blanco tequila. As someone who has lived in the neighborhood for 10 years, I can confidently say this place has always been below average. In the past, the low prices made it tolerable, but now the pricing is unjustifiable. Other upscale spots in the area offer far superior margaritas with better tequila, better food, and a better atmosphere--all for less. read more

I've been wanting to try Tacos Jalisco ever since Chris Parente said he went here with his hubby I think last Cinco de Mayo lol. We decided to order takeout this cinco and enjoy a meal at home with the baby instead of fighting the madness with an infant. My husband concurred it was a zoo in there for the holiday so I'm glad we chose to relax instead. The food was good; I got a marinated pork and it was very flavorful. There were some fatty chunks but I gave those to the cat lol My hubby enjoyed his combination plate. The chips and salsa were also very good. Love when a place has good salsa. I have driven by here oh so many times. I finally stopped in. Despite the construction nearby making parking challenging at a labyrinthian level, my experience was good. We are down the street, and always make time for this place when we need some really, really good queso. That might be breakfast or lunch. Great sized portion, fantastic taste, and get some of the house salsa with it. You will be led to one side or the other, and they are fully divided. Alan was our server last time, and he did a great job at handling not only tables but to go orders coming through the door. The margaritas are monstrous and potent, but be aware they are $16. They have a decent selection of popular beers, and even sometimes carry an IPA. Both breakfast and lunch are solid, and I got the breakfast burrito last time, smothered with bacon (deluxe version per the menu). I wish they had a big bar area, but we always enjoy our experience regardless. The rest of the menu is all good, but the queso is off the hook. I give it a 4 because of very little things and how the things I have tried on the rest of the menu weren't mind-blowing for me, but it is a strong 4. Haven't been in many years. Decor has moved much more upscale; very warm and inviting. Breakfast burrito was bigger than I could finish, but made for a great second meal the next day. The green, pork chili will not take the top of your head off, but is flavorful with a distinct chili finish. Also enjoyed the crispy chili rellenos plate. A very reasonably sized meal for my smaller wife. I will return for other breakfast items I spotted in the menu. The staff is outstanding; I really can't recommend this spot more. **The Spirit Airlines of Mexican Restaurants** I've been to Tacos Jalisco before, and while the experience was decent in the past, my recent visit left me seriously disappointed. Here's why: First, the service was okay, and the menu prices seemed reasonable. However, there were no drink prices listed, which I didn't think much of at the time, given that things had been fine on my prior visit. Big mistake. We ordered margaritas, and when they arrived, they tasted extremely watered down. When I asked, the server explained they use soda water to "fill up" the big glasses they serve them in. I requested that mine be put in a smaller glass to avoid the watery mess. They obliged, but even then, I couldn't tell if there was any tequila in the drink at all. It honestly tasted like a weak lime soda. Now, I get it--this place has inexpensive menu items for the neighborhood, so maybe I shouldn't expect a craft cocktail. But imagine my shock when the bill arrived and those watered-down margaritas were priced at **$20 each**! Absolutely outrageous. To make matters worse, I was charged $2 for about two tablespoons of lettuce and $1.50 for half a teaspoon of jalapeños--no mention of these upcharges from the server, which is something I'd expect them to flag. Needless to say, I won't be returning. While the food might be cheap, the liquor is nonexistent, and the overall experience felt like a scam. If you're thinking about giving this place a try, consider yourself warned. There are much better options in Denver that won't leave you feeling ripped off. read more

I used to eat here quite often pre-Covid. Went for the first time since recently and was very disappointed. I ordered my usual chicken chimichanga to go. The order was ready quick and bagged and on the counter and waiting when I arrived 10 minutes later. The prices have gone way up and the food way down! When i got to my car i noticed no napkins or eating utensils. Had to go back in and ask the server who just seemed unconcerned and clueless. $16+ 20% tip and just bad food and service! $20 for a small and not good lunch! The chimichanga was dry and barely enough green chili to coat it and I also pulled out a big chicken bone before it went down my throat. They used to give you plenty of green chili, cheese and toppings. Not anymore. The green chili was just ok! Just not good like it used to be! I won't be returning anytime soon! Tonight was a friend get together. So excited to see each other again and always enjoy Tacos Jalisco! Started off with cocktails and chips and salsa. The salsa is so fresh and very spicy which we all enjoyed! The drinks are a bit pricy but with 2 cocktails, my meal (steak n shrimp Fajitas) and a take home meal of a seafood enchilada plate it came to $56. My meal came sizzling hot with a good amount of steak and shrimp, enough I took half home with the rice and beans. One of our friends found a hair in her shrimp which the waitress replaced with a fresh plate. I thought they should have comped the meal but they didn't. Overall a great meal though and the servers were attentive. The live entertainment didn't start before we left but they had lively music playing. We were asked what type of tequila we wanted and I recommend the 1892 chilled,smooth as silk! read more

We checked in on Yelp and got a $5.00 off coupon to use when we paid our tab. Restaurant wouldn't honor it saying that they had called YELP to discontinue it. Promptly seated, waitress was friendly and attentive until we ordered. After that we never saw her again until we had been done eating for 15 mins. Never came by to check how our food was, refill our water or ask if we wanted another drink. Chips and salsa are not complimentary. We ordered chips and salsa and guacamole and got one basket of chips for all of it. Never were checked on to see if we could use more chips. Food itself was fine. Nice flavor, big portions but the lack of customer service and they weren't busy at all, maybe one or two other tables besides us, will keep us from coming back. Oh and the house margarita is around 24 ozs and it's $15.50. A bit steep I think. read more
