We had arrived just in time for Happy Hour- Monday-Friday, 3-5pm . Perdida has a worthwhile Happy Hour as several main menu appetizers as well as cocktails are discounted. I selected the classic marg to sip on. It was a good, standard margarita for $6. We also had to try the mini chile rellenos. This place is super cute. I love the layout of the restaurant. The bar seating is large & has a sky light above the bar, nice outdoor seating & in another room is a large seating area. We over heard some people at the bar say that it was too loud in the seating area so they moved to the bar. I also really like the menu, however, I really don't like it when restaurants charge for chips and salsa. We got the trio (salsa, guac, & queso) so it felt worth it. They have a small brunch menu on Sundays but also have their full menu. I had huevos rancheros the only thing I didn't like was that the eggs were very over/under easy & the whole dish got cold fast. I wish it was served on a hot plate or the eggs were cooked longer so they were warmer. Service was ok, we ate at the bar so I think the focus was more on having our drinks filled vs asking how the food was etc. And it got busy after we arrived so the bartender was busy. Stopped in at Perdida during their Happy Hour, which runs M-F 3-5pm, with both food and drink specials. Decor is a soothing, pastel, beachy vibe. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Our bartender made sure to check on us before HH was over. The Cali Caliente cocktail wasn't too spicy and the house white was a generous pour. Small bites were also generous, as we were served a regular portion of the mini chile rellenos instead of the HH portion. The guajillo ranch served on the side was very tasty. read more

We decided to hit up something new and landed on Perdida. We loved the ambiance when we walked in. We were early but they still accommodated us which was awesome. I've been here several times and always have a great experience! Whether you're planning a date or a night out with friends, it's best to make a reservation if you want a table. I was Perdido, but I've definitely been found and especially after an absolutely fantastic meal at Perdida Mexican Kitchen. It's been a few years since my last visit and honestly... why?! I will start with the one positive of our experience. The food was FANTASTIC. Perhaps we came in on an incredibly busy night while they were short staffed, but service was very slow. It took 20 minutes for our server to come and take our drink order. Our experience was not unique. We ended up bonding with the table next to us struggling through the same challenge. Neither of our tables were given proper silverware to eat our food and we had to resort to grabbing our own from neighboring tables. Additionally, we had allergies to report, celiac and dairy, which the server was knowledgeable about and guided us to what we could and could not eat. However, after all of that was communicated in our order, the food came out without a single accommodation executed. Two items had to be sent back. Again we throughly enjoyed our food, after some minor setbacks, but I think Perdida could benefit from a revisit to their allergen reporting protocol. read more

We entered to a beautifully designed restaurant. Patio, back room in the rear & another room to the left along with the main dining area . Decor gave me beach vibes . There were several dirty table at 8:15 pm and plenty of employees chatting instead of cleaning tables. Host sat us immediately and then we waited several minutes to be greeted by our server. I asked for our candles to filled since it was empty. Our initials drinks were very nicely presented but flavor was lacking . A coconut flavored drink and a cucumber margarita. Next we order the trio appetizer. This was probably my favorite of the night! Prickly pear margarita next was again lacking flavor . Maybe some of the drinks are pre- batched , I was thinking at this point . Will not order cocktails next time for $15 a pop! I'm a bartender so maybe I'm just biased . But drinks are also very expensive & expectations are high in Denver with so many options! Food we ordered was again great presentation but not the best flavor wise . My rice , beans & pico were all together in a little dish with 1 tortilla. We had the carne asada plate & fish tacos . Dessert was tres leches 6 out of 10 on food & dessert . Cake was dry , so we ate the top layer . Tres leches should be a milky sponge cake . I told waiter it was my birthday & I was eager to try this restaurant. I guess this didn't register. 4.5 stars. Came here for a networking event. It's so busy! Coming through the front, there was no one to greet anyone for like 10-15 minutes. I was feeling patient because of awesome street parking I found. Eventually I was directed to the patio where the space was reserved. The waiter assigned to our area was fantastic. Super attentive and hard working. Loved the taco station that was set up, notably the shrimp. Some of the salsas set on the tables were fairly spicy, which I enjoyed. Lots of cocktail options but mostly focused on the spicy margaritas. Didn't like the churros at the end, they were too dry. I've been here a few times and the food is consistently good. My favorite part is probably the chips and three salsas. Zero willpower with these! I was skeptical reading other yelp reviews regarding the food. This isn't an economic place neither. Be ready to spend $100 or more. As far as flavour goes, the food was thorough and authentic. This place is really great for covered patio seating, for margaritas, and for tacos. We've been twice and both times were pretty great! (Though the first time there was an issue with fruit flies... the second time they appeared to have gotten that issue under control) We recommend couples ordering two different tacos since you can't mix and match, but this way you can try the fish and the shrimp (which is what we did the second time) and be doubly happy! The queso with guac is also not to be missed - sounds odd but the creamy cold guac is a nice foil to the hot gooey queso... and the chips are made in house, strong enough to scoop all the deliciousness up! Margaritas (house, passionfruit, and strawberry) are tasty but one is all I needed, and a walk around the neighborhood afterward helped this lightweight feel OK about driving. The place was really busy, but we were seated at a nice long table and despite being a full restaurant, the noise level was very manageable and easy to hear one another. We went here a while back for brunch and were super impressed. The space is quite large and really nice! The back patio is so lovely! We got the baja trio and street corn, both super good. My husband got the chicken tortilla soup which was really good. I got the roasted jalapeno caesar, which I was a bit bummed it wasn't spicy at all. The flavors were quite bland in fact. The ambiance is sooo cute, kinda small. They could benefit from some misters on the patio during the summer. But a bill being $120 for 4 drinks and 2 apps is willlllllld. Since the last dining experience was for a few cocktail drinks and a dessert, yesterday's dinner experience said more about what this restaurant could offer especially food wise. And they sure didn't disappoint us. Potato Flautas definitely caught my eye. The crispy texture of the tortilla (about 3 inches long) was perfectly crunchy. Those columns of Flautas (6 of them) stand in the center of the plate underneath the perfectly seasoned guacamole is such a beautiful presentation. What's rolled inside the crispy tortilla is the mashed potato and oh boy, this is now my FAVORITE approach at this restaurant or of the world. I can come back for that any day now. Great value at the price of $13. I was also impressed with the fish in the ceviche. It tasted la bit like shrimp but you know shrimp can be sometimes a bit chewy so I re-read the description of it and it's actually a snapper. And this ceviche is accompanied by a generous portion of chips. Like the Flautas, it's got a great value at the price of $15 because of the portion. Fish tacos (two of them which I didn't take a picture of) was also amazing. The way they battered the fish and cooked it was impeccable. Almost forgot to mention about my cocktail, "Hop To It". Breckenridge gin, carrot, ginger, cucumber, lemon are mixed in this concoction. Each of the ingredients especially the fruit and vegetables are perfectly balanced except the gin. The alcohol was weak and it tasted almost like a nonalcoholic beverage frankly. Our waiter was attentive even though it was a busy Thursday night. This restaurant has got a good ambiance but the only thing about this place is that it's quite noisy. My date and I had a bit of a hard time hearing each other but hey, this will not stop me from coming back to it again in the future. read more
