This place is so cute! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, spacious, and has such a fun atmosphere. It's a great spot if you're craving authentic Mexican food. The service was warm and welcoming, and everyone was so friendly. I ordered the Perdida Special so I could sample some of their most popular dishes, and it was the perfect choice. I loved all the different flavors, and everything was fresh and delicious. Four of us went to Perdida Kitchen for an early Father's Day dinner and we were very glad we did! It is on the very busy strip near Washington Park which we don't often frequent because it is indeed very busy. But this was Monday evening and we were seated immediately. Our server said that we had 5 minutes left for Happy Hours--thank you!!--so ordered Caliente Margaritas and appetizers. The nachos were delicious--and messy! The Margaritas were as well. I had a nonalcoholic Athletic Brewing Company Cerveza Atletica (Mexican style copper). There were several other NA cocktails and beers available as well. We were all very pleased with our entrees. They were all luscious. Two of us are vegetarian and there were plenty of choices. I had Crispy Avocado Tacos, which came with black beans, and a side of Street Corn--both great choices. My friend had quesadillas and Potato Flautas , which I tasted and almost wish I had ordered as well. Stopped in for a quick drink before another event in the neighborhood. Cute decor abounds as you enter Perdida.We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the very nice bartender. We had arrived just in time for Happy Hour- Monday-Friday, 3-5pm . Perdida has a worthwhile Happy Hour as several main menu appetizers as well as cocktails are discounted. I selected the classic marg to sip on. It was a good, standard margarita for $6. We also had to try the mini chile rellenos. A delicious meal of tacos for both of us. I enjoyed the fried avocados while my daughter had the fried shrimp. Very large tacos --it seemed to be oversized tortillas. If you're not a cilantro lover, though beware.... There's plenty of it. The guacamole was quite good with very fresh tasting avocados. The service could have been a bit faster for sure, our server was running around the whole time. I would not put it on her, but I believe they were shortstaffed. This restaurant is truly 5 stars for me! With the aesthetic of the restaurant, incredible service and great food it truly is a winning formula of a 5 star. I have been here twice and had the guacamole, ceviche and street corn as apps and the street corn was the standout to me! So flavorful and tasty, that would be my go to app for this restaurant. For entrees I have had the crispy avocado taco, chicken Al pastor and fish taco. They are all good but the chicken Al pastor is the taco I keep thinking about. First time there. I was surprised that it was pricey for a Mexican joint. There was one employee up front that was friendly and sweet but everyone else acted like they wished they weren't there. We were sat clear in the back by the kitchen well away from other diners. We both shower regularly so I'm not sure why we were sequestered. Hearing "corner" and "order in" throughout the meal didn't enhance the experience. We both ordered the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. The only thing I could taste in the sauce was the tanginess. Stopped in at Perdida during their Happy Hour, which runs M-F 3-5pm, with both food and drink specials. Decor is a soothing, pastel, beachy vibe. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Our bartender made sure to check on us before HH was over. The Cali Caliente cocktail wasn't too spicy and the house white was a generous pour. I've been here several times and always have a great experience! Whether you're planning a date or a night out with friends, it's best to make a reservation if you want a table. Otherwise, you'll likely end up at the bar, which honestly isn't a bad thing since the space and atmosphere are beautifully designed (it's just a bit louder.) This place is a tried-and-true upscale Mexican restaurant, so expect to spend a little more, but it's completely worth it. This place is super cute. I love the layout of the restaurant. The bar seating is large & has a sky light above the bar, nice outdoor seating & in another room is a large seating area. We over heard some people at the bar say that it was too loud in the seating area so they moved to the bar. I also really like the menu, however, I really don't like it when restaurants charge for chips and salsa. We got the trio (salsa, guac, & queso) so it felt worth it. They have a small brunch menu on Sundays but also have their full menu. I had huevos rancheros the only thing I didn't like was that the eggs were very over/under easy & the whole dish got cold fast. I wish it was served on a hot plate or the eggs were cooked longer so they were warmer. Service was ok, we ate at the bar so I think the focus was more on having our drinks filled vs asking how the food was etc. And it got busy after we arrived so the bartender was busy. Last night was our first night back to Perdida in a about a year. Service was not what we were used to experiencing. After we were seated It took 15 minutes to get water (she placed the giant pitcher on our small table which is always a turn off unless you're at a diner). The chips and salsa arrived 15 minutes after ordering but the rest came out in a timely fashion. We noticed other tables all asking various employees for their needs as well as the server was MIA for most of the meal. She promised to return with more water after we had already paid our bill. I was Perdido, but I've definitely been found and especially after an absolutely fantastic meal at Perdida Mexican Kitchen. It's been a few years since my last visit and honestly... why?! It was great then, and it's even better now. I think this was my fifth time here and I've never had a bad meal. If anything, it keeps getting better. Definitely a good place to celebrate an occasion if you're not paying, but a lot of the classic mexican dishes are not very well done and extremely expensive! 4.5 stars. Came here for a networking event. It's so busy! Coming through the front, there was no one to greet anyone for like 10-15 minutes. I was feeling patient because of awesome street parking I found. Eventually I was directed to the patio where the space was reserved. The waiter assigned to our area was fantastic. Super attentive and hard working. Loved the taco station that was set up, notably the shrimp. Some of the salsas set on the tables were fairly spicy, which I enjoyed. Lots of cocktail options but mostly focused on the spicy margaritas. Didn't like the churros at the end, they were too dry. I've been here a few times and the food is consistently good. My favorite part is probably the chips and three salsas. Zero willpower with these! Additionally I really like the black beans on the side. My favorite dish is the salmon but the tacos are also quite lovely. This most recent time I opted for the grilled fish on lettuce wraps. We entered to a beautifully designed restaurant. Patio, back room in the rear & another room to the left along with the main dining area . Decor gave me beach vibes . There were several dirty table at 8:15 pm and plenty of employees chatting instead of cleaning tables. Host sat us immediately and then we waited several minutes to be greeted by our server. I asked for our candles to filled since it was empty. Our initials drinks were very nicely presented but flavor was lacking . A coconut flavored drink and a cucumber margarita. Next we order the trio appetizer. This was probably my favorite of the night! Prickly pear margarita next was again lacking flavor . Maybe some of the drinks are pre- batched , I was thinking at this point . Will not order cocktails next time for $15 a pop! I'm a bartender so maybe I'm just biased . But drinks are also very expensive & expectations are high in Denver with so many options! Food we ordered was again great presentation but not the best flavor wise . My rice , beans & pico were all together in a little dish with 1 tortilla. We had the carne asada plate & fish tacos . Dessert was tres leches 6 out of 10 on food & dessert . Cake was dry , so we ate the top layer . Tres leches should be a milky sponge cake . I told waiter it was my birthday & I was eager to try this restaurant. I guess this didn't register.
