We recently had a work event at wash park social and it was a great experience. Our waiter was amazing, constantly checking in on us and providing great recommendations. The food was also yummy. We got several apps that we ate too early for photos, and I got the salmon while many others got the steak. Both were delicious with the salmon having a side of crispy potatoes that were the perfect touch for the overall meal. Overall it was a great environment for a work dinner, but also had some casual spaces around if you were looking for something more low key. The only downside is we couldn't see a TV from where we were sitting and my team was playing Thursday night football! But thankfully they provided me the Wi-Fi password and we could watch it on my phone. All in all it was a good experience and I look forward to visiting again.

I met friends here on a Saturday at lunch time. There was plenty of seating available. The service was outstanding and we really did stay quite a long time for lunch. We got plenty of refills on our tea! The food was ok. The restaurant is bright and clean with seating inside and out.

No seed oils on the chips here -- they're cooked in bison tallow, and you can taste the difference. The spinach artichoke dip was absolutely delicious. This spot took over the former Wash Park Grill location and feels like a strong new chapter. The strawberry salad is a must-try, the rotisserie chicken is legit, and the seasonal vegetables loaded with basil were fantastic. Upscale atmosphere with stellar service and perfect timing between courses, giving you time to actually enjoy shared appetizers without feeling rushed.

What a treat to see this iconic location brought back to life with such a fabulous new restaurant. Denver restaurateur Bart Hickey (formerly of Capital Grille) has created something really special. Every dish we tried was outstanding--the octopus, burrata, flat iron steak noodle salad were all exceptional, and the wine list was equally impressive. I can't wait to come back. This is truly a neighborhood gem!

Thank you Victor for excellent service at dinner yesterday. We enjoyed a wagyu burger plus a strawberry salad with salmon. This place also makes a knockout Old Fashioned.

A group of four of us got lunch here during the FireFlyHandmade festival, completely unaware it had only been re-opened five days before. The menu was pretty small, we ended up ordering 3 burgers - 2 bison & 1 wagyu beef, and the strawberry salad with grilled chicken. It took 40 minutes for the food to come out and honestly it did not seem that busy, there were many open tables and only one of the patios was open which we thought was strange with it being a beautiful day and the amount of people on Gaylord for the festival. Our waitress also did not address the lengthy wait until the 30 minute mark of waiting. When the food came it was clearly fresh and hot and overall decent, but we had a gluten free bun and they made no attempt to ensure the right person got it (ended up putting it front of the wrong person) and they walked away without asking if there was anything else we needed - such as ketchup. This area is a bit pricier in general, but we all agreed the quality of the dishes we had did not match the price and none of the dishes we had should've been over $20.

I got the Caprese pesto sandwich, or at least I think that's what it was called, and wow. It was so good. I honestly could've eaten another one I've also been here before for dinner with friends and remember loving the pasta. Looking for a nice, if casual, Italian restaurant for a nice dinner with the wife and calling back…read moreto a recent trip we made to Italy. North Italia looked like it fit the bill. There were bright elements in our visit, but overall, I was disappointed. FOOD & DRINK: We ordered a couple of cocktails. The S'mores seasonal cocktail was mostly about sweetness (a not uncommon thing here). My Diabolo cocktail had what might have been a pleasant, lightweight fruit flavor, but that was overwhelmed by Calabrian chilis (which also threatened to overwhelm the apps). Both more or less matched the description on the menu, but the execution was underwhelming. I later had a glass of Chianti, which was nice. We had some Cacio e Pepe Arancini, which did not remind me at all of Cacio e Pepe, and were sort of gooey, though the pesto aioli was a nice touch. We split a Caesar salad which was a good idea because (a) it was huge and (b) it was the tastiest thing we had -- an excellent, garlicky dressing, with a good blend of lettuce, parmesan, and house croutons. My lasagna came in a little metal baking bowl that, duh, it was baked in. It looked very nice, and was a generous proportion, but it made actually cutting up and eating bites of the lasagna a bit awkward. The savory of the sauce in the lasagna was mostly swamped by the sweetness of the ricotta mixture. My wife had Short Rib sauce on Lumache pasta. It was tasty, but not as flavorful as the short ribs or the rest of the menu description hinted. That was an overall flaw of most of what we had -- interesting-sounding items that seemed to have the flavor turned down to 3. For dessert, the salted caramel Budino was fine but too sweet. That also described the Tiramisu. The coffee was good. SERVICE: Though it took a couple of minutes for them to decide on a table for us (though we had reservations and were there on the dot), everything else about the service was outstanding -- our waitress when we needed her, not there when we didn't, and overall very friendly and pleasant. Bravo. AMBIANCE: The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The chairs were surprisingly comfortable and nicely narrow in profile (though wide enough for comfort) so that moving them around and maneuvering past them wasn't a problem. Biggest issue here was that, at 5:45 and for the duration of our meal, the noise level was such that my wife and I could hardly hear each other over the table we were at. Most of the noise, though not all of it, was Happy Hour folk in the bar, and North Italia clearly does a land office business with that cohort. For me, I'd make a point to dine later, if that fit the rest of the plans for the evening. NET-NET: Being in Cherry Creek, parking is always an issue. The adjoining hotel gave us valet service for $14, which was worth it for the convenience. Not counting that valet, or tip, the tab worked out to about $90 each for the two of us which on the one hand I would expect for a higher-end restaurant in the area, but on the other hand seemed a bit steeper than the food experience we'd had. I wouldn't turn down an invitation from a friend to dine at North Italia again -- it wasn't a *bad* meal -- but I wouldn't recommend to a friend as a place to eat. There are a lot of great restaurants, even just in the Cherry Creek area, and I'd rather try (or revisit) one of those, given a preference.

When he did get to us, he never introduced himself, which was surprising at a restaurant of this caliber. We had to ask Miguel, the Somm, what his name was. Turns out Tim was lovely and took good care of us. Miguel too, as he answered our questions about the wine and was very helpful in choosing a great bottle for us. We elected not to do the tasting menu and order a la carte. We ended up ordering the perfect amount of food for the four of us (parents and adult children). Here is what we ordered and what we thought: Burrata - The special pesto of the night was a shishito pepper and sesame seed one that was unique and excellent. With the yummy bread served with it, we ate and sopped up every bit. Crispy Pork Terrine - such a different way to make a terrine that really worked. We all loved it! I just wish there were a few more peach slices on the dish. Rainbow Trout Spiedini - Oh my gosh this was a surprise! It was probably our favorite bite of the night. It comes with three pieces, but Tim added another so we could each have our own skewer. I would order this for my main next time. So fresh, not at all fishy, and the salsa verde was fantastic. Eggplant Parmesan - it was good but didn't stand out like the other dishes we ordered. Sweet Corn Anolini - since it was sweet corn season, this dish hit on all levels. I think it was gone in two minutes. Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese - don't think heavy red sauce here. This version is authentic, light, well balanced, and so flavorful. It was absolutely delicious! Baked Cookie - I'm a fan of browned butter in any baked good, but this cookie needed more sugar. It was barely sweet. This place is pricey for sure. Even though we loved the pastas and they are obviously homemade, $36 and $37 for the amount of pasta served is a bit much. And $9 for a cookie? We would go back though.

Everything we ordered was so delicious. Every order comes with focaccia. I think that the à la carte small plate options stood out as more worthwhile to me over the focaccia accompaniments. Outstanding menu curation that was unique enough to offer great assortment and narrow enough to feel like you explored every section. Truly spectacular service to service such care for the food. This cannot be said enough for Denver restaurants, often finding reviews of the food outweighs the service every time. Not at Olivia. The som who outlined our pairings in the tasting menu was knowledgeable, kind, and passionate. The location threw us off a bit when entering, but you're quickly wrapped into your own pseudo-Italian trattoria. What an experience.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.
