Drinks: They used cheaper tequila. my body cannot handle cheap tequila, but higher end stuff is just fine. how can I tell? I was sweating tequila the next day after one margarita. Quality tequila doesn't mess me up like that. Pricing: for the quality of food, not great. they also no longer do taco tuesday. Service: staff was lovely, though I wish they were more accommodating to my vegetarian guest. The refried beans are made with animal fat, so it is not vegetarian as advertised. read more

I stopped into this Mexican restaurant right in the heart of Old Town Arvada -- such a cute area with tons of small shops, fairs, and local restaurants. I chose to sit in the bar area and was seated immediately, even on a Saturday afternoon, which was nice. The restaurant itself is super cute with lots of fun photo-op spots. I ordered one carnitas taco. It wasn't bad at all, but it didn't quite give me that "wow" factor either -- just decent. For my drink, I stuck with water. The staff, however, were very friendly and welcoming, which I always appreciate. Overall, it's a charming spot with a great vibe, and while the food didn't blow me away this time, the atmosphere and service make it worth checking out. read more

Walking through the restaurant is beautifully transporting to South America, and what awaits is more than what most would expect. Refined dinning and service. The Art work is beyond phenomenal, particularly and proudly displayed are the Baja surfboards which were the last boards made either by Jim Drake and/or Hoyle Schweitzer. And then the FOOD!!! Oh how hard it is to choose from the menu and I walked in timely for the lunch specials, being stated by Rebecca and Malea my waitress! Of course I must order the "Creamed Corn" such a delight and filling unto its self. From the lunch special I had Baja Fish, which offers 2 items for and easy price of $13.00, instead we doubled up on the fish tacos, there is just so much GREAT FOOD my tummy can absorb. Even Aspen loved the Cod, perfectly cook to tender moist consistency, with a private cream sauce (chef secrets), flawlessly adding "Cilantro Lime fluffy Rice!" Which I inhaled!!! Wow what a treat, almost a hidden gem. We came on the train from downtown to meet family for dinner. Wanted something different and a Yelp search revealed Lady Nomada. The pics said it all!! We were seated quickly for a Sunday at 5:30. Everything we had was delicious and worth a return trip. Our server was a hoot too. She was great with recommendations that worked out well for each of us. Started with drinks and the chips queso, salsa guacamole trio. That queso was crazy good!! The Paloma, cucumber and house margs were yummy. The Baja shrimp enchiladas were so perfect. Creamy jalapeño sauce. Lots of perfectly seasoned shrimp with a little salad and rice. The enchiladas, quesadilla and combo platters were all just what we needed. The restaurant setting is well done and provides a rich background to enjoy great food and friends. Definitely a repeat. The cutest, vibiest, coolest spot in Arvada to dine. The interior is so bright and inviting. The seating is comfortable and fun. The art is beautiful and the staff are awesome! The food is delicious and I love a good lunch special/deal. The only downside I would say is that ordering a la carte is gonna cost ya. My sister isn't a huge fan of Mexican food and doesn't eat rice and beans. So she just ordered 3 birria tacos, which were priced pretty high and costed more than my full plate with all the goods. Walking around downtown Arvada on a Sunday afternoon and decided to stop in for a quick drink and pick me up. The place wasn't busy and we sat at the bar, such a cute ambiance and the decor was on point, lots of props and really looks like effort was put in to making it look cute. I wanted to customize one of the menu cocktails but many of them are pre-batched so i tried the elderflower one instead and it was honestly delicious as is. The beer list has gone downhill again, and many of the bar employees are nonattentive and not very welcoming. I'm hoping this trend reverses soon! I had heard so many good things about Lady Nomada and they did not disappoint. The inside was very well decorated and it felt like I was stepping into a high end taco place. I highly recommend getting Marg's there with the barria tacos. Service was as you'd expect, however, our waitress explained everything as this was the first time we had been there. I got the coco no loco and I could drink that all day long. It was so refreshing and I felt like I was in a Caribbean vacation! We split the Birria tacos and the fish tacos and wow. The fish tacos were exceptional. these are the best ones I have had in this whole state and rival fish tacos in California (i am shocked to even say this). The Birria was good but nothing compared to fish tacos! The dip trip was also delicious. The fire roasted salsa was spicy but so yummy! Love the convenience of it being so close to the light rail. The food was hot and fresh and had good quality meats and flavor , cooked well. They were very good at accommodating Ryan's allergy needs too. It is a little pricey for the product and the seats were really small -Ryan is a tall guy and he had to stick his legs out the side of the booth. And my legs were scrunched up too and I'm not tall. The overall vibe is chill and clean - the esthetic is like if a restaurant wanted to look like a Holister in the early 2000s. Went during their happy hour 3-5 pm Monday through Friday and was very pleased with the drink selection! They are strong and favorable. The service was great and attentive. We got the queso and nachos which do not come with meat but they are loaded and got me full for being a happy hour item. We mostly came because of the ambiance! It is the perfect spot for a girls night out or a group of friends. Very aesthetic and in downtown Arvada. We made a reservation but it was pretty empty walking in at 3. To be fair, the service and atmosphere are excellent and the flavors are top notch. Lunch menu had nice options for reasonable price. I had a birria taco, chicken tinga taco, rice and beans for $13. Aside from serving the marinated onions on the outside of the birria taco, which just made it messy and confusing, the food was delicious. They even manage to make black beans taste good, which to me is a real feat of culinary magic. So why is this a two star review and not a five star review? Well let's discuss a really basic concept that frankly is the single most important feature of a Mexican restaurant to me. They bring your first "round"of chips and salsa for free. Great! Bare minimum for any decent Mexican restaurant in America. The truth is, it's more like a bowl of chips and a thimble of salsa. More like a ramekin I guess, although it feels like a thimble. When you finish the salsa, which is killer btw, with most of your chips left sitting there you'll have to pay $4 for another thimble of salsa. Good grief. Another flaw is that the lunch menu lists "happy hour" drink prices on it, even though they aren't party of the lunch menu. So you look at the lunch menu and think you're margarita is $6 as shown until they charge you $9 and say oh that's happy hour pricing even though it's on the lunch menu. Such a great place that almost nails it, but comes up woefully short at such simple failure points. It's a little tragic. As much as I like it here there are like four other options in Old Towne for Mexican with a better sense of what people enjoy about going out for Mexican. I'll take my regular haunt, Cochino Taco, any day. They don't poke me in the eye and give me a noogie while smiling to my face. read more

Sat at the bar while several servers walked by. It looked like they were preparing drinks for people in the dining room. No real bartender on duty. The lunch menu is so reasonably priced- two tacos of your choice with rice and beans for just $10.99 practically a steal in this economy. The fish taco is crispy and crunchy and the birria taco is super solid, tender meat very yummy loved the pickled red onions sprinkled on top! The red salsa is flavorful. He is a bit of a quesadilla connoisseur and says that Lady Nomada has the best chicken quesadilla he has ever had. So, take that as a big compliment. The fajitas were excellent. Parking is rough. The street is pedestrian traffic only, so you will walk a block or two to get inside. But, it is worth it. Take advantage and check out some of the shops along the way. I will be back. read more

The frozen coconut margarita was to die for. I still randomly dream about it. It was perfectly boozy and frozen and stayed frozen the right amount the entire time I sipped it. The tacos were small in portion but man do they pack a punch in flavor! I love the decor of boho Mexican rattan vibes with a whole lot of color. 4.5 stars. This is the first Olde Town Arvada restaurant I've visited more than once, which is a huge win. DELICIOUS cocktails (especially their margaritas) and fresh food. At least come here for the Carne Asada Fries, topped with guacamole, crema, pickled onion, and cilantro. Those fill me up every time, even though it's on the appetizer menu. So colorful and flavorful. My partner and I have had a few other things, all tasty. Loved the Birria Taco and Mini Chile Relleno (while they're hot) and want to keep trying more items off their menu. One my favorite destinations down south (and I mean pretty far down south) is Todo Santos, Mexico. It's super chill Baja vibe is muy bueno! The beaches, the margs and the food is hard to beat. But if I'm looking for a quick little taste of that magic, I never miss a chance to meet a buddy of mine at Lady Nomada. For starters, I truly LOVE the space. Great bar seats, lounge-style seating, tables, booths... this place has it all. I am instantly transported back to my beloved Baja with its beachy interior design. My favorite cocktail is the Cali Caliente Margarita... the balance of the cool cucumber and chili-rubbed rim is "sub-lime." You see what I did there! ;-) And while I'll not going to say that the Baja Fish Tacos are quite as good as my all time favorite at Pacifica Fish Market in Todo Santos, the Lady Nomada version is VERY good indeed with their crispy fish, serrano tartar & classic slaw. I saw this place on tik tok, yelp and instagram after researching where to eat for our 5 day trip (we're from Chicago) and KNEW we had to check it out. From the very start, the colorful decor and cozy atmosphere blew us away. We were seated and greeted by the world's kindest waitress, Bri. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, which were great. The chips were warm and the salsa was tasty. We then moved onto the birria fries, which were divine. Perfectly seasoned, hot fries with incredibly fresh guac, pickled onions, peppers, and mouthwatering birria meat. My fiancé and I both ordered the lunch special. I ordered the Baja fish taco with chicken tinga taco and he ordered the chicken quesadilla with a carnitas taco. Both came with rice and beans. W O W. Every bite was better than the last and every single bite we had was GREAT. Everything was so flavorful, hot, fresh, made with delicious quality ingredients that truly left us speechless. After sharing all of this with Bri, she was so thankful, and sweet enough to bring us some wonderful sopaipilla with ice cream, which was also out of this world. All were fabulous and tasted great. Service was a bit slow. They only had 1 server and half the restaurant was closed. We ended up sitting at the bar. Bartender was apologetic for the wait. What a cute little bar in Old Towne Arvada. We stopped in just for drinks on New Year's Eve and were greeted by a very friendly bartender, happy to assist us with drink choices. She hooked us up with a couple of Painkillers (Flor de cana rum, pineapple, coconut, orange and lime) very tasty and a bowl of chips and salsa which was very tasty. I always judge a Mexican Restaurant for their chips and salsa... and they nailed it. Maybe next time we will come in for a full meal or Happy Hour that looks awesome. read more

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for large parties. Service: My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday as some of us were visiting from out of town. Our waiter Taran made the experience the worst time for us as we caught him cursing and bad mouthing our table to his coworkers simply because we asked him to put a candle on our cake. It was very rude and unprofessional. The fact he said all of this on the floor and a family member heard him as he was going to the bathroom, not cool. Also, we asked for some forks after we brought our own plates and he said okay but never brought them out or acknowledged the table. I wish we got a different waiter or someone who cared about being kind to us. Ambiance: It's a very beautiful restaurant and the decor really stood out. Food: Food was okay, it wasn't anything special but the presentation was really nice! We did call the manager the next day and she said he was frustrated in the moment and apologized on his behalf.
