Worst experience ever! Server was awful. Right when we started to order he turned away and went to get water's for another table... what the hell. We had to go to the bar to get drinks. Then he brings out fajitas and it took him another 15 mins for him to bring tortillas and sides for them which then they were cold due to them being brought out with out every else. Been coming here for years and won't come back. Had a feeling when we sat here for 20 mins with no approach to order a drink. Knew I should have went to los dos potrillos. This place seems like a staple in the area, and from what I understand it's grown from a small establishment to the mega restaurant it is now. Even with its size, it manages to give off that homey vibe family run restaurant feel that knows its patrons by name. The food was really good with decent portion sizes. I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas and it comes with a side of beans and rice. Though it didn't include lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, or sour cream, I still thought it was really good. They've also got frozen margaritas and bacon wrapped shrimp. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Also, service was great, and they really do make an effort to make everyone feel welcomed. I always feel weird talking about the cleanliness of a place, but during a pandemic it's useful to know. They're definitely following precautions, social distancing, and mask wearing. Overall, a really solid place to have a meal. read more

I was very excited trying this mexican restaurant but it was a very bad experience. Menu was extremely boring and same as usual -americanized mexican restaurants; not authentic at all. We still wanted to give it a try (huge mistake). Our waiter was probably new and didn't know the basic "customer service", he was so distracted he forgot our drinks (and there were barely any people at the place). The hostess that received us was in a very bad mood, making angry faces and for sure not wanting to work that day. The restaurant ambiance wasn't welcoming. We only order a queso fundido and after we got it we ask for the check not wanting to try anything else. The table in front of us had to call the manager because their soup tasted like "sock water". No, thank you. Very disappointed; horrible place and absolutely terrible customer service from all the workers we encountered in that restaurant. Save your money. Save your time. We stopped to have dinner with family from out of town and were pleasantly surprised with how quickly our large party was greeted, seated and our drink order taken. The food was served promptly and was hot and delicious. The service was friendly and quick and the friendly owner stopped by our table to check on our meal and thank us for coming in. Used to go there about 20 years ago. My new guy wanted to try it out. He got what they called a steak (sirloin, I think), but it was thinner than a McDonalds cheeseburger patty, and I could almost swear it wasn't beef. Tasted like the pressed meat you get in Mexico that has weird fillers. I got fajitas, which were meh. I warned him that the place did not have good food. Now he knows. Hadn't been to Los Arcos in over 5 years. Stopped by again on 5/7/24 at about 3:30 pm when it wasn't too busy. Salsa was good. Took about 15 minutes to receive a cocktail. Our food was disappointing. One item was unidentifiable, appearing to be several hamburger buns with a filling and smothered in red chili. We weren't sure the entrees we received were what we had ordered. When we questioned our server, they argued these were what we ordered (????). After, we ordered flan to-go and the server never delivered it. We had to stop the manager to get our order of flan. Meh, this place is way overpriced for what it is. Many dishes are not very good or flavorful. The worst is their fish tacos. Don't order them. They are fishy, no flavor(tasted like they were frozen breaded cod pieces from the grocery) and they serve tartar sauce packets with them. I could barely get them down they were so gross. Very disappointing. The flavor can be described as a Mexican place that caters to old white folks that eat bland. The atmosphere is fun and I've had good servers every time, but I wish the menu and food would improve more. Los Arcos is always a delight! They have a great menu and friendly service. The food is full of flavor and is delicious every time we visit. I don't get to the city much but we came for the week end and we drove by Los Arcos. This Mexican restaurant has been in business for around 40 years. I graduated High School on 1980 and I remembered it then. I took my wife in and the place was bustling. We waited 30 minutes to get seated and that was fine. We were sat, given chips and dip and a few minutes later our waitress appeared and got our drink order. When she returned we ordered fish tacos. 25 minutes later our tacos arrived. I was shocked. The tacos looked like a teenager put them together. The corn tortillas were not fried or even grilled and the texture was like cold chicken fat. The fish was grilled and way too long. There was grated cheddar cheese and not a Crema or some other home made concoction made from lime and the cheese was not even melted. Each taco was ''garnished' with a slice of under ripened tomato laying on top..it was a pathetic site to behold..but we ate. We were starving after waiting nearly an hour. The waitress finally came back and I gave her the low down. Now, mind you, I am a chef and have managed kitchens and restaurants and even owned a restraunt for 6 years..I know food. The waitress said "ahhh...maybe the cooks were very busy.." They were simple fish tacos and they were so severely under seasoned it was hard to tell what they were. The waitress gave us our check and said she took off the drinks because of the tacos and I asked, "why? The drinks weren't the offensive ones"..and she walked away... That was a $50 dollar bill down the drain.. Special Note: Something discouraging. Every Mexican restaurant in the Denver area, that I have been to, use the same Green Chile sauce. It's got the same sheen, the same blah flavor and look. I imagine these restaurants buy green chili sauce by the 5 gallon container from either Shamrock or Nobel Sisco..pretty sad...The sauce is easy to make and I don't expect them to buy fire roasted chile and have to peel it and make their own but there are ways to get a unique flavor...ask Chubbies, they make their own sauce! read more

This is our go to restaurant for what I think is the best Mexican food in the area. If you get a crispy chili relleno they service the green chili on the side so it stays crispy. Anything that I have ever eaten there has been delicious. They have been at this location for a long time and I have never had anything served that wasn't amazingly delicious. Yum yum yum! read more

I've been here a couple of times, the chips and salsa with drinks are great- This is one of those restaurants in my city I've passed all my life and never eaten- First visit here I didn't like the food, but realized you have to know what's good, so my special is the Chile Relleno plate prepared soft with xtra chile and you can't go wrong. I would give it 4 stars but I don't have a favorite food craving here. This place is a curve breaker! I Started going to Los Arcos in 1980, shortly after they opened. It was great back then. They grew while I lived in Colorado and they were still great. Came back into town after being out of town for decades, and much to my surprise they are still GREAT. The food was delicious! Portions were good. Prices are reasonable. Terrible food. Terrible service. We were a party of 4 and two of our orders were completely wrong. I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga and was given a chicken burrito. My son ordered a quesadilla and he was given a bean burrito. The food was salty and we would rather eat at Taco Bell than waste money here. I'd say the past 3 times we have eaten here, our order was wrong two of the times. If the restaurant my family and I frequent was not closed due to Father's Day, we would have not returned. The happy hour menus is a good deal. We usually go for that. I am not a fan of the full on menus or the returns on general but the happy hour is good. I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 2 decades! Today my food was cold, when I told the waiter, the manager came over and told me that "she had checked the temperature herself and that it was 155 which was what it should be". I told her that "I didn't think that was correct because the chicken so cold that it tasted like it just came out of the refrigerator or freezer. She continued to tell me I was wrong.
