Pain Killer

We saw an ad on Facebook so we decided to go check out the new location. The prices are pretty good, especially for the beef dishes. The carne asada was a large portion and had a great flavor to it. The speciality margarita was a "painkiller" and although the taste was very good, it was very light on the alcohol. The service was friendly and quick. The interior has been completely redone and it's hard to believe that it used to be an Old Chicago. Light, airy and a little more upscale decor for a traditional Mexican restaurant.

We had such a great meal at Real de Minas! We ordered the chimichangas, flautas, tacos, ceviche, corn on the cob, ribs... basically, we came hungry and apparently wanted to try half the menu And honestly, every single bite was fantastic! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Our waitress, Daya, was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about both the food and the drinks, made great recommendations, and even brought out different salads for us to try. She was attentive without hovering, which is always a win. My only complaint is that the tables are WAY too close together. We were practically dining with the people behind us Every time they sat down or got up, we were getting bumped, and I'm pretty sure we bumped them a few times too. A little more breathing room between tables would make the experience even better. But the food? 10/10. I'd absolutely come back!

3 stars -- Decent, but overpriced for what you get Went to the Real de Minas Mexican Grill in Thornton. I know they have a couple locations around Colorado and I was excited to try it since I'm a huge Mexican food fan. I usually love getting molcajete, but this one felt like it lacked sauce and was just fair, chunks of cheese and couldn't melt as nothing for it to melt into besides the bowl and then you don't get to enjoy the cheese -- nothing over the top. The corn ribs were good, not the best I've had, but decent. Chips and salsa were solid with the bean dip. Rice and beans were just okay. The chicken burrito was above average, but nothing incredible. We have great Mexican food around here, and while this wasn't horrible, I wouldn't rush back. I was hoping for something a little better. The prices felt really high for a Mexican restaurant. I've never seen appetizers like guacamole, queso, or corn ribs cost more than entrees. Service was fair -- they brought out our appetizer with our main course, so we didn't get to enjoy it hot. I hope they do well. I never want to see a business fail, but it wasn't a standout for me.

Service was good. Missing items on plates and overpriced. Was hopeful for a new place but this was a very disappointing experience.

Wow. Just wow…read more Nora's Speakeasy might be one of my favorite cocktail spots ever. The vibe is dark, elegant, and cool without trying too hard -- it really feels like a secret hideout (but in the best way). Drinks? Insanely good. Their "Nora's Version" menu reimagines classic cocktails with modern twists, and every single one we tried was a hit. Balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted. Food is simple but hits the spot -- charcuterie, grilled cheese, and pretzel bites that pair perfectly with the cocktails. Bonus: You get a welcome sip when you arrive! Such a fun touch that set the tone for a great night. Run, don't walk. Louisville, you've got something really special here.

I saw it had good ratings online; unfortunately I came on a day my stomach was already bothering me but I wanted to have a look. It's a very low light, date night vibe inside. The barista was super friendly, and I saw online they'd had a very sweet cocktail from a few years back - I asked her about it and she didn't have all the ingredients but offered to make me something similar. I declined because I felt like i shouldn't be drinking with my stomach feeling off, but it's exactly the type of place I like to check out, the menu was cool. I will definitely try to make it back one of these days when passing back through the area! Also had lots of free street parking all along the main road ~

Also the fact that from what I could tell the speciality here for drinks is their espresso martinis which I am a huge fan of. The overall vibes and decor did not disappoint! They had dim lighting with red and spooky decor including a coffin you could take pictures in. First night we came here we snagged some bar seats and received stellar service from all the bartenders but Michelle in particular made us feel like regulars and we had a great time chatting with her. We ended up booking a reservation and revisiting a second time because the drinks and service were so great! With the spot being busy during both our visits the bartenders expertly handled the chaos like it was nothing, very impressive. They had so many good sounding special espresso martinis it was tough to pick. My wife loved the red velvet the most and also enjoyed a pumpkin spice too. I sampled a variety including Tiramisu, Peanut Butter Cup, Cookies & Cream, and a S'mores version. All of them had incredible flavor and I don't think I could pick a favorite honestly. One of our favorite bars during our trip bar far. Perfect vibes for the month and amazing service and drinks made it a top notch spot!
